  1. All ready for my return to Scotland (July 14-22) so looking around the pre-season/Viaplay fixtures so far. Depending on work I may bang in a week October, possibly staying in Inverness for a change. Season 23/24 here I come
  2. Away from the banter, anyone have an idea when the seasons fixtures are being released ? I should be in Scotland for the Lowland kick off (July 22) unless I've got the wrong date of course
  3. Nothing will ever change until the spfl/SFA bring in a rule stating at least 5 Scottish youngsters (21+) must play in the starting eleven. Surely it's not another financial mess you gotten into ? Can never get my head around how things work up in Scotland and £ £ somehow involved.
  4. Being a southerner who see's the ground grading ruining some clubs down here - im ok with 3g pitches in football stadiums, but not cages. Where are the ground gradings for scottish amateurs/ex juniors etc ? What are the levels of requirement ? Tbh a cage is just a better football pitch, nowt else.
  5. My error : meant it to be applicable to spfl games and not Lowland, just think the new division will be squeezed in asap - was trying to make it more difficult for clubs' B teams, rather than the easier 'hand over cash' approach.
  6. Random point to this endless tripe : tell spfl clubs the new league will start in 24/25 but only if you show the following: every club plays at least 4 or 5 Scottish youngsters in their starting eleven every week - or just run a reserve league correctly and shut the fu*k up once and for all.
  7. Looks basic but ok, sure they'll try and overuse the ground just to get some £ back. Always interesting to see grounds or sports centres that are being done up, hope all clubs get sorted before 23/24 starts and that KRR get back home with a good deal for them.
  8. Poor game with a daft ending, gk obviously thinking it was going wide. Both sides unable to string passes together with the ball up in the air, wasn't a bad crowd really. Bit of a walk to Croy station the best of times, sure they could have got a better venue re location etc. Would have gone if I'd been up in Scotland, is the Junior Cup going to continue into the future ?
  9. A league/ division above the HL and LL for those with licenses, guaranteed 2 promotion spots into the spfl, but NO to any B teams. Sounds like another rigged ballot ahead, but hopefully the clubs will go 100% against the B teams (despite any £ bonuses)
  10. Maybe a division below spfl2 made up of say 12 HL/LL/WoS clubs who have licenses - but make it a guaranteed 2 up to the spfl. I realise that the bottom 3 clubs could confuse things - say all 3 are Highland clubs, not clever enough to have the answer.
  11. Well done Stenny, what sort of vandalism happened ? Thought Dunipace was fenced off fairly well (I may be wrong)
  12. Becoming a regular event, classic old Scottish clubs slowly being replaced - I only hope there's a change where the lower Lge champions all go up - no play offs for the winners. Always enjoy trips to Albion, get behind your club next season and come back stronger.
  13. Whats this, fans of both clubs sat together ? Glad to say this wouldnt happen in Bristol, the hatred still runs deep. Not bad so far apart from the diving, i'd bet on a Milan side winning, but id probably lose. Dont see many 'stars' out there tbh.
  14. Can we please end this farce, the only way for B teams to be in the spfl IS when the OF clear off to the Atlantic McDonald's Premier League. Expect good riddance from most Scots fans at such an idea ?
  15. Patchway 1 Frampton 2 att 105. After a good effort, relegation confirmed for the Patch in this must win game. Two headers from a corner and free kick 02 ht. Back in the game with 20 mins to go, rattled the bar and had corners - but lack the physical threat/target man. One of the founder members of the Glos County League in the 1960's now have to plot their way back asap.
  16. Glos County local derby - less than a mile apart : Patchway 2 Little Stoke 1 att 88. Decent niggly affair with the Stokers' gk sent off and another sin binned in 1st half.20 looked safe until pen for 21, then late pressure almost saw an equaliser.Patch hold on to take it to the last game for survival.
  17. I have the var answer : tie hands behind your back, thus having kick ins -instead of throw ins, Jesus don't tell the many FA's they'd be interested hate it when people who have so called 'badges' make the game so complicated.
  18. Western League Premier : Cadbury Heath 2 Barnstaple 1 att around 100. Vital win for the Heathens who climb above Keynsham Town(now bottom) and escape relegation. Decent effort, chances wasted, but survival comes at a price - eight trips down to Cornwall again next season, local Bristol clubs finding this a financial burden. Up the road Oldland Abbotonians beat Shirehampton 21 (att around 600) to gain promotion from Division 1.
  19. Glos County survival battle : Patchway 2 Henbury 1 att 70. Early pressure in both halves resulting in a 20 lead, but the nerves set in at 21. Thereafter pressure of corners and chances, but Patch (black & white) held on for a vital win.
