  1. Another derby game in the Gloucestershire County Lge: Almondsbury (relegated from Western last season) v Little Stoke - around 1 mile between the clubs. Almonds 4 L.Stoke 6 att 50+ some bad errors in the relentless rain, 14 ht became 2-4 and 2-6 before two late goals added some credit to the scoreline. Entertainment yes but lacking quality in defensive areas, luckily I stayed dry until the end !
  2. Going by things around Bristol : don't think youngsters can commit to playing 20-30 weeks anymore - the closure of pubs show a change in their lifestyles too - maybe some will work on Saturday so why not play on Sunday ? The costs have risen, but possibly the behind the scenes work done by the secretary etc isn't being shared around enough. When the older guy's die off, someone needs to step up and help. Maybe players are taking the jump into the WOS and EOS to play now, and possibly earn some £ along the way. The pool of players has definitely shrunk lately.
  3. Late entry after getting the programme printed by the publisher - mate at work.
  4. Any idea on the one bloke stood in the corner ? Tried to keep it quiet all these years
  5. Realise that there were rescheduled games - i meant the Clach A side in the North Caledonian Lge ️ Dependant on work & weather i maybe back in November - my last visit of the season
  6. End my week at Dudgeon Park for Highland Lge Cup semi - seeing the ground being forked at 2pm had me wondering, but luckily its on. Brora 6 Keith 1. After two gk errors for 01 and 11 the rest was one way traffic. Keith chasing shadows at times, and at 31 game over. Credit Keith's players who stayed in the bar longer than the hosts. Youngsters these days
  7. With today's game p-p again, why dont Clach A use Grant Park ? Just wondering, would save a fixture backlog.
  8. SFA Youth Cup rnd 3 : Ross County 1 Kilmarnock 4 decent 1st half as the Staggies got back level with twice taken pen - bad mistake quickly 1-2 then a belter from distance 1-3. Killie just a bit stronger and more of a threat overall, crowd 300 I think. £5.
  9. Random ground this time, Bught Park - any senior clubs ever use this place ? Great stand
  10. At Mosset Park for Forres Mech 1 Clach 1. Excellent crossfield pass and finish for 01 with another tidy finish for 11 by home m.o.m Lee Fraser - thought Clach's no.21 was always a threat and hard working. Forres kept over hitting passes, and didn't get enough bodies in the box - but did well to respond in the 2nd half. Clach tidy and threatened well in the first half, fair result tbf. Two decent young sides, keep encouraging eh.a
  11. No my first visit, tidy ground and clubhouse. Would have done Deveronvale and Formartine (Tue/Thurs)if I could have got back to Inverness! PS Some excellent grounds in the Welsh Ardal League's as well - long way from Scotland I know.
  12. Phew more like randomly not going : Huntley u18 v Hermes p-p tonight. Don't think I can get back from Deveronvale tomorrow, unless I sleep rough haha. Onto Forres on weds I guess .
  13. Made it to Harlaw Park for Loco's 5 Strathspey 0 . Not a bad 1st half but some poor defending from the Thistle, constantly giving the ball away. Credit they kept going to the end, just lacked quality at times. Glad to get a game and a train back to Inverness.
  14. Any idea on how early pitch inspections will take place tmrw ? Am in Inverness eager to get some games under my belt - but 100% reliant on public transport.
  15. Just throwing this one in , does anyone know if the ICT under 18's have any fixtures during October 18-25 ? or whether the side have been scrapped ? Thanks for your help
  16. Not exactly a random game yet, but does anyone know of any midweek games for both Ross & Inverness under 18's the week Oct 18-25 - I do know of the Youth Cup so far.
  17. Last game before I head to Inverness on Friday : at the Glos F.A ground for Hellenic Lge : Roman Glass (St.George) 4 Lydney 1. £7 with online prog. Fairly straightforward win assisted by the Lydney gk going off near half time, some decent stuff at times.
  18. At Somerdale on the sight of the old chocolate factory for Somerset Prem : Fry's v Keynsham Town Res - just the rugby club sits between the two clubs in Keynsham nr Bath. At 02 it looked all over until a storming last ten, when the hosts somehow turned it around for 32 - late sending off for the visitors didnt matter.
  19. That looks like a floodlight failure at Mussy ? Some more grounds that i want to visit sometime - dependant on public transport of course.
  20. Last visit to Deepdale in the 80's v Bristol Rovers (10 defeat) me driving the new hire van - needless to say the van didn't return in the same condition ha ha . Good old days of terraces sadly disappearing.
  21. At the SGS stadium for Glos County Lge: Stoke Gifford v Hanham Athletic. Got there late so progs were sold out, decent game with chances at both ends. 10 11 until the 85th when a 25-30 yard screamer clinches the points for Gifford. Ground part of the college campus - used to be Filton High School - my old stamping ground many years ago.
  22. Thought the Scots did ok until the final 3rd, the movement started to take its toll - and the usual hard working & tackling was just off the mark. Scotland have done great in the group so far, qualification almost guaranteed. Dont mind the booing of the English anthem- id be upset if they didnt.
  23. Both sites helpful for my week in November, going to Inverness (9 days) but struggling for games due to being an international week. Shall keep looking and hoping !
  24. Maybe a National League set up like in England- 16 teams then North & South below that. Champions up - then next 4 play off.
  25. We know its meant to be enforced down in England, but no way 100%. Is this idea based on a recent event or kneejerk reaction ? Sounds like a plan to shut every pub on earth or an anti - enjoyment mob.
