  1. Newspaper article said he had an ankle operation middle of last season. The op was deemed a success, he got back into squad for cup final but they discovered the op had not worked as well and needed to be redone. He’s been fit since new year bar a week or two with planter fasciitis issue. Just hasn’t had a look in much like Brookes (although he’s been fit) Would imagine he’ll be going somewhere else to rebuild his career. Pity, as we don’t get many home prospects coming through.
  2. According to some he has been fit since New year apart from 10 days when he had some foot thing. Seems daft he’s not been utilised more. Hopefully he’s there for rest of season
  3. I think I follow what you’re saying!. One would also have to ask why a talent like Adam Brookes is given about 20 mins playing time since Dunc took over and why Keith Bray was allowed to drift out. Why waste local young talent ?
  4. He’s seemingly been fit since New year bar a ten day period for a foot thing. He’s just not part of Dunc’s team
  5. The elusive, enigmatic and currently not being considered, despite being fit for the last few weeks. Still training with the kids and the subs.
  6. From what I’ve heard you’ve no idea how absolutely accurate that is.
  7. Thankfully we are away from home! The ‘pressure’ of playing infront of the demanding pandrop sookers is too much for many in our team
  8. Not seeing the dominance spoken about by Dunc in those highlights tbh. Couple of efforts from free kicks and missed headers. Guys I was speaking to after the game said it was woeful to watch. Glad I decided to go in the sesh instead!
  9. That’ll be macgregor that ‘hasn’t seen much off’ yet Dunc seems happy to throw anybody else in. Weird
  10. As far as I remember he had a broken jaw and an ankle injury that required surgery, it didn’t heal properly so went for another one.
  11. what is the point of having Roddy MacGregor on the bench when we have a current midfield who couldn’t cut themselves out of a paper bag. Granted it was a nice strike but other than that our midfield trio has offered SFA so far in terms of creativity or drive
  12. 8-3 Morton penalised to ICT. I’m not sure if I was missing the irony or not so I did a really dull thing and looked at the BBC report which suggest that Morton are ‘winning’ this battle.
  13. Very good Sunday roast at MacGregors and an open music session in there later afternoon. Can lead to a very late Sunday evening though! Malt rooms is great for some top whiskies - tucked into the Victorian market. Some good food things in there as well but can be a bit cold.
  14. The planning department are a mess. Not just this case but in so many others and I speak from bitter experience! this scheme seems to make a lot of sense and that is not considering the football element one bit
  15. On another note.., Poor Big Harry. He’s just no very good is he. Love that big Dunc is trying him and maybe he will prize a player out of him but I’ve never seen such a big lad beaten so easily for a header
  16. Was in Mumbai Thistle on opening weekend. Complete chaos. Food was ok but was fillings were poured straight out of a pre made bag of chicken curry and onto a bought in naan. The good thing is you see the boy making infront of you. enjoyed Dosa though. I really think I have eaten out everywhere in Inverness! I’m not a fat b*****d for nothing!
  17. La Le is a superb Turkish restaurant on Academy Street which has a lovely old bar, the Phoenix attached - the bar is pretty quiet these days unfortunately just across the road is MacGregors bar which does craft beers, cocktails and has a great mix of local dishes - steak pie, hand made burgers, mussels, fish n chips . you can just walk in Up from that is a wonderful wee Thai but that definitely needs booked! tiger on the wall across the river (past the bonk machine) is excellent for South Indian (the fish curry is superb) Black Isle or Cheese and Tomatin for pizza rocpool is without doubt the best but chances of getting in without a booking are slim. It’s expensive but always good . just down on river side is MacBains a small family run restaurant. Really good but def need booking. All the above are locally owned and run There’s also the usual chains but what’s the point of coming here to eat what you can anywhere! Ive realised I’ve written more in this post about food than I have about any football post in a long, long time. Must be comfort eating at the weekends after the disappointment of the games!
  18. This is brilliant! How completely bizarre. Mind you, have you been to Finland?!
  19. That is a good shout. It was coaching the guys needed. Rumours were that training consisted of five asides with the coaches playing and loads of laughs, absolutely no tactics or notes on the opposition. McCann was seemingly the complete opposite - no craic but every part of a game analysed I the minutiae. Very serious. That makes sense when you see him on the punditry. we want someone fresh with good ideas which rules out a lot of the original cast in that list - we have got some good young players there and most on 2 year deals.
  20. Holy crap. That was absolutely awful. Doran’s miss at 2-1 was something else but by that stage Arbroath could have been 5 up. The stats on the BBC site are terrifying.
  21. We just looked 2/3 weeks off in terms of sharpness. Airdrie got to every ball in first half - a toe in here, a head in there. That comes from competitive desire and being sharp. Players have moved about a fair bit over last few weeks - good for game time, not so good for knowing where a player is going to run and finding space. Thought Shaw was outstanding in the second half - their left back was bricking it. We really had enough chances to win that - the save in the last 5 mins was pretty phenomenal - everyone round me thought that was in. I think we’ve got to give Davidson time to settle in - he made a couple of decent forays but unfortunately gave away the ball for the first goal. Quite what the feck Devine thought he was doing for the second goal is beyond me Brey was pretty decent, Carson looked better at right back and Duffy gave us a bit of drive. I worry about Delaney - he seems to make at least one or two major balls ups a game. Gilmore looks ok It’s sharpness of thought and movement that’s needed in the next few weeks. I hope it’ll come. There’s decent players there
  22. Ffs that’s awful. Surely the sporting director is the man to deal with that? Or the CEO? That is a severe lack of backbone
