  1. I arrived at the same place as you after attempt three - went for the most exotic option. Wordle's getting to me.
  2. Still in the old routine. Wordle 266 5/6
  3. BBC 2 currently showing It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World. Just like every news channel for the past two years.
  4. Had four options for fifth and last attempts. Got lucky, but feel seriously aggrieved. Wordle 265 6/6
  5. I wouldn't be so sure about the navy. They have previous. I
  6. Third effort was weird American spelling of a delicious comestible. Smartarse that I am. Wordle 263 4/6
  7. Don't know whether I'm trying to second guess a randomly generating automaton or a devious human being. Wordle 262 4/6
  8. "Once you eliminate the impossible, whatever remains, no matter how improbable, must be the truth." Sage advice, Sherlock, but an unwise approach to Wordle. Twenty one consonants and I used practically all of them. Wordle 261 6/6
  9. Touching word for the current times. Wordle 260 3/6
  10. If you have tears, prepare to shed them. Wordle 259 6/6
  11. I did a few of these a while back. Found them very difficult but did note that the answer to one section was FANNY. I assume this is another US import, unless I was actually doing Lewdle.
  12. Some contrast between the answer and the performance. Wordle 258 5/6
  13. Does this not confirm that there is a rogue, illegitimate version of Wordle still in play? Unless we are adopting a "Yankee go home" policy should we not all be using the NYT version?
  14. Wonder what the context is, Wordle 254 3/6
  15. I've read A Short History of Tractors in Ukrainian, don't recall any mention of this kind of scenario. Would still recommend.
  16. There's a thread looking to establish an inventory of skills possessed by members of the P&B community. As far as I recall no-one has claimed expertise in urban guerilla warfare. Perhaps they haven't posted because they are painstakingly making their way to the war zone, in which case we should salute their heroism and their modesty.
  17. Don King ... and Josh Taylor. But what form does the corruption take? Who benefits and how is it done? I watched the fight and, clearly, the English guy won so what could possibly explain the decision?
  18. Feared that was deja vu all over again. Wordle 252 4/6
