  1. Didn’t want to comment on the Clyde penalty until I had seen the highlights, never a penalty in a million years, for what it’s worth I think Hetherington has become the whipping boy. Been no worse than many others in recent weeks but seems to be the easy target becomes he’s been giving the armband.

Or maybe, and it’s just a maybe our “supporters” will finally realise that we can’t keep going with this madness. It’s worked out great bringing all these ex players back when we’ve shouted for them so let’s do it again! Booing a team who are drawing 0-0 less than a month after many on here were singing the praises of the football on display shows how fickle we’ve become. I’m not thrilled with how we’ve been playing but continuing to sack managers is not answer.
For every, but Dumbarton can manage it, look at the impact at Dunfermline where from the outside looking in their players have stopped playing for the man in charge, I didn’t see any of that from our team yesterday. Sheerin asked for a response at half time and he got it.

I agree 100%. Pretty sure there was folk on here a month ago saying we need to tie sheerin down on a longer deal before he gets headhunted.

Feck sake it's obvious to every cant on the planet we need to play two up front and yet every week it's one striker. If he can't see basics like that then what the feck is he doing as a football manager FFS. Possession based football.that has us one nil down to the worst side in the league by some margin. Jesus wept.

Playing a 4-3-3 at the start of the season was working just fine? With personel as it is just now ( Morrison injured) I agree 2 strikers would be the best fit. I know performances in the last month have been poor but Christ that’s down to more than just the manager.

I'm getting more and more concerned that sheerin may be the worst yet as he can't seem to see things that are so feckin obvious to everyone else.

FFS,  every single manager at some point don’t see things that everyone else seems to, bit early to be saying worst yet? His possession based style is already better than the hoofing it up the park McKinnon and Hartley adopted.

I have no issues with Sheerin having a bit of a to and fro with the fans. I actually quite like it as it shows he cares. A bit of passion. Too many people seem to get the hump when players or managers actually bite back to the jibes they are getting when in reality why shouldn't they be allowed to defend themselves? He was in the wrong today with that starting line up and tactics so of course fans were also going to have a go.

I will however have an issue if he reverts to 4-2-3-1 against Airdrie in the next game.

    Positives from today:

    We actually won a game.
Lemon was a class act yet again.
Sheerin saw the error of his ways and changed it at half time.
Both strikers got on the scoresheet.
Another game closer to Morrison returning.
    Martin looked solid.

Totally agree. I might be in the minority but I think sheerin will get it right if given time. For me it takes a bit of bollox to come over and even face the fans when he’s just received 90 minutes of pelters, he could of scurried down the tunnel.

  6. Hopefully that performance pushes the urgency to go into the loan market and sign some more players. Our strength in depth is no where near up to standard, don’t want to cain young Sammy but Jesus I’ve never seen him keep the ball. Comfortably our worst performance of the season. Another good away crowd aswell, deserved a better performance than that.

You can’t waste all that possession, over hit almost every cross into the box & waste a golden chance with the penalty (Horrendous pen) and expect to win the game.

It was a wasted opportunity to go top & hopefully stay there. Still a long way to go though. Ref was very poor, laughably bad throughout.

Thought a few players were off it too & if you give Simon Murray that much of the goal to aim at, he was always going to score, Robbies positioning again was poor.

Great to see such a big crowd inside the place too. Although, as is always the case, we shat the bed with it.

I thought that as Murray and robson were standing over that free kick, Mutch gave him far to much of that side of the goal to hit, I don’t know if I’m in the minority but I don’t think Mutch is as good as he thinks.

I'm sure you realise that if there were I couldn't comment, but as there isn't the answer is no.

I was thinking about the squad size the other day. Minus the three who're on loan we have 21, of which 3 are the young boys. None of them look out of their depth though. Lemon was good at Airdrie, Weekes is getting regular sub appearances and Williamson hasn't dropped any clangers that I can think of. They all look capable of doing a job if called upon. .

I have a suspicion that the management are happy enough with the squad and will only move if the right guy becomes available. That's pure speculation on my part though and could be proven wrong with a phone call. I was a bit surprised it wasn't asked in the the FFCTV interview on Saturday.  Maybe Lewis is waiting until the last weekend before the window closes, which I think is the 31st.

Whilst the young lads have all done very well when called upon, I think it would be a mistake not adding a few more to the squad.
