  1. Buzzing for tonight's game as been waiting four years for this rematch. Haven't seen Clyde this season but IMHO Annan are a better team than the 2019 version. Goals throughout the team and a genuine striker in Tommy Goss. Hope we are able to sign Reece Lyon permanently as he has come in and filled Moxons position capably. Won't be another 6-0 but if we come through the two legs as winners I won't give a flying f**k. PS this posting in the league one forum just feels so right!!
  2. If it wasn't for your goalie turning in a Gordon Banks performance it would have been ten !! Looking forward/ dreading these two games in equal measure. Think the winners of this tie will be the team that goes up. Just hope it's Annan. About time we had our season in the sun...or even League One!
  3. Annan or East Fife will have the pleasure of facing Clyde next Friday night following Hamilton taking a play off slot. Hold me back!
  4. The Members. Sound of the suburbs
  5. Congratulations Stirling. Best of luck for league one next season. Hope you don't miss The Shed too much.
  6. Last year we played the now defunct Edinburgh City at home on a Friday night Final. Beat them 2-1 but lost on aggregate. Some hangover the next day.
  7. From an Annan pov would like us to finish fourth. This would then hopefully give us the opportunity to relegate our friends at Clyde. We owe them one. Ideally the other semi to be Dumbarton/ Stenhousemuir. Nothing against EF or Forfar but from a carbon footprint these two are a lot easier to get to for a night game. Didn't the final 2nd leg not used to be played on Sundays? Positive Albion Rovers were promoted at Galabank on a Sunday.
  8. Home win at a sun kissed Galabank packed to the rafters. Well the club house will be! ANNAN 2-0 DUMBARTON (McMenamin hat trick) Mon th Annan!!
  9. This is a must win for Annan today. Realistically there's four clubs chasing the two play off spaces going. Happy to have four home games from the seven left. Prediction. Annan 1 - Stranraer 0. BTW not expecting a crowd of more than 200 with the Scotland game on at same time. No idea why this wasn't switched to an early kick off??
  10. Yet another meeting of the league two perennials. Hopefully won't see Elgin score a goal like last week's, or Stirlings brace in the previous game. Going for a convincing home win 3-0 purely through blind hope. Wonder what price you can get on a Hester booking??
  11. Annan were comfortable and cruising to three points until half time. Second half different story and Stirling made use of all their subs count. Re Blair Curries sending off. Looked a blatant handball to me but that was seeing it from the clubhouse end. Will be interesting to see it on highlights. Thought ref played a great advantage after Tommy Goss nearly got shirt pulled off him to let play continue and Annan score. Would say that Stirling were worth a draw although Annan hit post and bar twice. Just one of those days and hopefully the loss of two points won't cost us at end of season . Special mention to the bus driver/ darts player who come on as the goalie after sending off. Obviously played before but maybe when he was a bit fitter?
  12. Turned into a very comfortable win for Annan yesterday and in all honesty should have won by a larger margin. East Fife possibly the poorest side seen this season and definitely the worst strip. The no.11 , right wing ,was only one that looked as if he was trying. For Annan impressive team performance with two fine goals by CJ. The Trialist (!!!!) had a decent debut and you could see a decent partnership with Hooper straight away. Now for two tough away games on the bounce.
  13. Max is settling in well and hopefully we can keep him for rest of season. Seemed to be quiet at first but in past few games you can see him growing in confidence. Would admit that it would have helped him if he was playing alongside a genuine centre half as Swingles and Matty Douglas have their injury woes and we are using a forward Tam Muir as stand in. I have also been impressed with another ex Carlisle youngster Roan Steele who whenever he gets on seems a classy player. Delighted for Moxy who seems destined for greater things. Been told by Carlisle based workmates that if he was to go Utd would be looking for a fee iro seven figures??
  14. According to Harry Hewitt aka the arsehole formerly known as Prince
  15. Heard that the The Station is closing in January and The Commercial is going up for auction. Only rumours mind. HTH.
  16. The proverbial game of two halves tonight. Annan lucky not to go in at half time three or four down. Second half different story. Looked like scoring every time we went up the pitch. Impressive display from Chris Johnston who was pick of the bunch. Spookily exact same score line as last years boxing day when we skelped Kelpy. Happy Xmas Galabankies !
  17. Today's games vs Bonnyrigg called off. Will have to settle for World Cup third place play off instead.
  18. Hard cash more than welcome at Galabank mate. Enjoy the day !
  19. Alison. Elvis Costello Sally Cinnamon. Stone Roses Eloise. The Damned Tracy Jacks. Blur English Rose. The Jam
  20. Surely a (long overdue) home win today. Last time we won the Queen was still alive and Boris was PM... If we don't start getting results soon it will be the 79 Bus to Gretna for derby games in LL next season. Prediction Annan 2 - Dumbarton 1 Mon the Annan - Ca plane pour moi!
  21. Thought Annan were absolutely abysmal on Saturday against Stirling. Have got Greg Fleming to thank for keeping us in the game. Could well have been a real doing otherwise. Now entering three tough fixtures with us away to East Kilbride tonight and don't think it will be a surprise if we go out. For me the league game on Saturday against the Rovers is more important. Defeat then could leave us bottom which no one expected at start of season. Having kept three quarters of last years squad did not see this coming! Not expecting anything against Aberdeen next week so maybe this reverse psychology will work wonders ....
  22. Disappointing start to the league season so far for Annan. The feel good vibe from the league cup group section is waning fast and we need to start picking up points before a gap develops. Obviously the loss of Moxon has been telling but also not having Matty Douglas available is showing. Can't remember when we last lost a game by four goals so hopefully last week was just a blip. Would like to see Goss and Muir playing together up front as sure that would pose any team in this division, starting today with Stirling. FWIW thought Stirling would be one of the front runner for a top four place. Looking forward to the game, expecting goals on a wet slippy surface, and fingers crossed for decent turn out. Prediction Annan 3- Stirling 1 Ca Plane Pour Moi!!
