  1. Just in case it doesn't come through strongly enough in the feedback....we MUST keep red shoulders on the home kit. Was a given we'd win the league as soon as that was announced.
  2. If Fyvie is out of contract at Cove I'd be putting a cheeky offer under his nose to consider (can only say no). Martin would also be of interest. McGovern had a good game v Celtic yesterday which suggests there's still life in him. Likes Burgoyne too but not sure he'd be on McGlynns radar much and wages may be too high in any case.
  3. Has to be Morrison POTY for me and Yeats YPOTY Ross and Tait I'd try to keep. Despite Olivers recent efforts he's had enough chances in the 10 and sole striker roles for us to know what to expect. Have to remember too that the standard of opposition this season is much poorer than it will be next. Hamilton/QOS both teams he could do well in next year
  4. All the comments turned into a book would make for interesting reading and could be a money spinner. An alternative history of Falkirk FC 2011-2024
  5. An option to join FSS at the same time as season ticket renewal would be ideal
  6. Agree with this. I think Tait has shown enough now and would keep him if isn't disruptive. Ross was apparently on very good money at Raith. Would like to see him play a few games in the 10 role instead of Nesbitt to see how he gets on there. The others absolutely must go for me to free up space for better
  7. There was also a home defeat to QOS when they had 143 shots (think it ended 3 nil?)
  8. Long may not have lost us any league games but we've certainly dropped points due to his mistakes and we've also gone out of cups earlier than we should have. I could just about understand the rotation if they were both our keepers but only 1 is, and he's the one who looks more likely to develop so play him.
  9. If he fancies another season, and is fit, I'd still be looking to bring McGovern in as first choice next year in a player/coach role. Bags of experience which Hogarth & Hayward can learn from. As for the 10, I agree it's likely to be Nesbitt. I think Ross or Tait could also play there. I don't think Ross is necessarily best out wide.
  10. We should have enough of a lead for today not to be crucial. Tuesday will be tough though. No shock that Fyvie comes back in for Cove and they win 2 from 2. 3pts up there would be massive.
  11. Being in the Championship will also widen the pool of potential loans whose clubs will be willing to let them come. We need to keep some powder dry to see whose available.
  12. I doubt Raith will be offering Ross a deal, it'll come down to whether he's happy to sign with us knowing he's not first choice and what he's being offered elsewhere
  13. Would be madness to tie him up before he's even played a full 90 minutes. He has a chance over the next 12 games. His cameos have been promising (though nothing like the incredible level you're suggesting) and need to see much more. What we can't afford to do is have passengers on high wages next season.
  14. Agree 100% Ross I think is ahead of the other two at this point but we haven't seen anything like enough from the other 2 to think they'll cut it in the Championship. At the time we took the loan, Raith fans were saying Ross was one of their higher earners too so he won't come cheap. Overall we've had a brilliant season and we absolutely should be getting carried away but I hope McGlynn is keeping his feet on the ground. Not all our players who've done really well this year will replicate that in the league up. Defensively we'll lose many more goals and be under a lot more pressure in games than we've been this year. Physically too we need to be up to the test. I'd like to see a new keeper, some more strength in defence/full back cover and someone like Martin for the midfield. Shanley is nowhere near as strong as MacIvor (based on what we've seen) so would like some stronger cover and if I'm being greedy someone with a decent scoring record to challenge up top. We can't get all that if we extend the 3 mentioned plus anyone like Oliver or the keepers.
  15. According to Wiki, Evelyn Morrison scored 75 goals for us in 58 games. That's some return
  16. Excellent news! Get a wee video of him asking fans to sign up to FSS and the numbers will jump right up.
  17. Changes last night were fairer on Mackie, Shanley & Ross than the mass changes we saw at Edinburgh. Can only really tell how effective the subs might be if they get a run out with the usual starters beside them. Suspect we might see Alfie and Oliver start on Saturday for Nesbitt & Morrison with Miller and MacIvor back in.
  18. Fixated on whether he was actually going to write something with that pen.
  19. Slightly higher level than the Scottish Championship... he was playing against Messi as recently as October. Talking of Messi. He's getting on a bit too. Just s well he's not available. Would probably slow us down and we'd be better sticking with Nesbitt.
  20. Is this a wind up? Arfield would be an incredible signing and it blows my mind that you think he'd be worse than Spencer or Henderson
  21. I think Agyeman has more to offer and would keep him. He's young and did well in the early part of the season until he lost his place. When he comes on he often battles well and is raw but powerful. Would have liked to have seen him replace MacIvor up top more often than always seeing him on the wing. Oliver, not for me. Anonymous too many times last season and in his appearances this. We'll need better for the Championship.
  22. We'll definitely need to strengthen, but we've got plenty of time to worry about that. As for Ross MacIvor, I was in the underwhelmed camp when he signed but I don't think anyone could honestly say they expected the impact he's had. Lots of people also complained Morrison was overrated in the past and given too much credit but it really doesn't matter. We're 11 pts clear and playing well. I'm sure everyone is delighted with how the seasons playing out.
  23. For all the misty eyed magical moments, there weren't many days at Brockville since I started going (mid 80s) that matched the atmosphere yesterday. The Ultras have dispelled the myth that the stadium can't be rocking.
  24. What a win. Thought it was going to be a cricket score after 30mins though. Very pleasing to see us continue to attack and be positive with the subs too. Many managers would have gone 5 at the back for the last 15 and inevitably concede the equaliser by inviting them on. Both Nesbitt and Spencer could (should) have finished them off but we got there. Onto Montrose now, can't afford to let the effort slip. Last word for Finn Yeats. Excellent again today and some commitment to stay on after that clash that knocked him for six.
  25. Really surprised Accies didn't strengthen more in January given the much heralded 'war chest' they apparently had from the sale of the young guys in August. Maybe the players they were going for were as or more ridiculous than our 3 and they just failed to get anyone decent over the line. Confident we'll have too much in the tank for them. 3 nil.
