I would love to see, for example, Motherwell beating St Mirren 2-0 and then St Mirren to have had a bad VAR call go against them and for Motherwell to come out and protest the decision after the game like this on St Mirrens behalf. I think if something like that happened it would really start to see talk about change however I doubt that would ever happen.

Motherwell were quite right. Over the last few weeks I’ve found myself getting more and more annoyed by VAR decisions for and against other teams almost as much as my own (we’ve not had too many shockers that I can really remember recently) and I was pretty angry with the decisions I saw in this game and the ones in particular that they compare. I was also really annoyed with the decision they refer to in Dingwall. Whilst I love the statement and the questions I do agree that if either of the Old Firm put this out I would probably just laugh at them but of course f**k those guys. I’m at the stage where I want the SPFL (or whoever is in charge of the referees these days) to not only answer the questions Motherwell have put to them privately to Motherwell but they should stick the head of the referees and a couple of refs live on tv and get them to break down the decisions and the differences between them. If they could explain their thoughts to fans a bit more maybe we would be more understanding but they won’t do that as they are largely just making it up as they go along.

Delighted for Watson and it’s a timely reminder of how young he is as well. I think McInnes is doing a good job managing his game time.

If that is what he believes then they should be made to explain every decision, and the reason for it, publicly after each game. There should also be explanations of why some decisions are given in one game but not in another (or later that game) for very similar checks.

Hibs fans probably shouldn’t worry too much about VAR as it’s the top flight only and by the law of averages Hibs will be due a year or two in the Championship again soon. The ultimate yo-yo club.

There’s hardly anything between 8/9/10 clubs most seasons and I think it’s just all confidence that really wins or loses games in this league. Very few times will you see one of our level clubs scoring 4 or 5 and it’s also why it always surprises when your club keeps a clean sheet/sees out a win.

Whilst it’s very old fashioned and I can’t remember the last time we did it (not even against Sevco in 2019 I don’t think) the “cheerio” chants today at 4-2 were glorious.

I felt like he was playing RB (or following Kiltie at least) for most of the game. He was in the RB position when we conceded corners for both goals. It was another one of McInnes’ fluid formations - Joe Wright defo wasn’t RB and Watson stayed behind Armstrong all game.

I just showed your earlier post to my other half and said that was exactly how I felt at half time.
