  1. Darvel proved today that as a team of individuals they couldnt dig in and work hard to get back in the game. Really supprised at how poor they played as a team. Too much arguing between them and no passion shown to try and win the game. Well played Pollok. Also fantastic crowd today 902.
  2. Tough conditions at Yoker today for both teams. Ashfield deserved the win after pushing hard in the second half and making their chances count. 5 in a row now and Vale of Leven next week - should be cracker. Great support and service for Callum Graham today and top class finishing.
  3. Overall I thought a point a piece but fair enough. What’s your thoughts on Rossvale’s form?
  4. Ashfield game off today so went to Rossvale v Talbot. Hats off to Rossvale as played attractive football and was definitely the better team to watch until ref wasted the game with the second sending off - never a red. Number 8 for vale played churches league last season and in my opinion was one of the best on the park until an unnecessary red. Well played Rossvale and deserved a point on the day but not to be.
  5. Great result again for Ashfield. Didn’t make the game today but they certainly seem to have got to grips defensively. Full credit for another solid defensive performance. Goals keep coming.
  6. Shaping up to be a really competitive run in till the end of the season. Looks like half dozen teams in with a chance of promotion . Let’s hope we get a run of games and beat the weather. Ashfield with 6 or 7 games postponed but hitting a run of form and scoring a lot of goals. First year watching juniors and wish I had done it sooner. [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  7. Absolutely- he will back in the churches league next year. Goal rate not good enough for juniors [emoji6]
  8. Watched the Ashfield v Yoker game today and must say was disappointed with Yoker. That said Ashfield were excellent, worked hard and chased every ball giving Yoker very little opportunities. Ashfield creeping up the table with a few games in hand and hitting good form. My choice for one of the promotion places.
  9. 3.0 Ashfield against Yoker today. Playing good football on a difficult surface and scoring a lot of goals.
  10. Luke has played the last 2 games - looks a player. Park has been heavy and hard going - expect to see the very best of him on the better surfaces.
  11. Noticed there wasn’t a topic set up for this league yet. Looks like a very exciting one this year with team who all took points of each other last season competing. Best of luck to everyone involved. Fingers crossed Ashfield game will be on Sat 28th Dec. Itching to get back on track after too many cancelled games.
  12. Not happy. Ashfield only managed to play 10 league games so far due mainly to in playable parks. Too many games building for end of season. First year watching juniors and can’t understand why this level of football is allowed to get into a position of potentially playing 3 games a week at end of season. Surely mid week, even if neutral grounds are used, would make sense. What’s your thoughts.
  13. The big decision went the “big teams” way. No doubt it should have been a red but Ashfield kept going and although the score doesn’t suggest it, put in their best performance of the season. Some great passing from Pollok today.
