  1. As soon as you saw the lineup you knew how this would pan out. How does Bullen expect to score a goal setting up like this?
  2. Seems insane to even think this, but I’ve no idea what Bullen is even trying to achieve. Those subs are just random nonsense. We’re playing so many early punts up the park that you have to think this is the direction to the players from the manager.
  3. For all his talk, Bullen hasn’t improved the team one iota. Awful tactics, awful set up.
  4. John McGlynn coming the huffy c*** on Radio Scotland isn’t helping.
  5. Please tell me we’re not lining up again with 1 up front and Muirhead pulling the midfield strings?
  6. With that pitch and the wind blowing a gale, tonight’s match could be a bigger horror show than Raith’s Twitter feed.
  7. The only way out of this for Raith is to reach a financial settlement with the player and release him. Then the individuals who sanctioned this are going to have to resign. New people can then do a full mea culpa and attempt to build bridges with the various sponsors etc who have walked away. What a catastrophic lack of judgement from all concerned.
  8. That’s a brave move from Raith. Brave in the dumbest sense of the word.
  9. Too early to make any real judgement, but it’s been pretty disappointing so far. He took on a team that dug out 2 good wins under caretaker management and then reverted to the tactics that have failed us all season. I think we’ve mustered 1 shot on target (which luckily hit the back of the net on Saturday) In his 3 real games in charge. Don’t know what else he expects with Aaron Muirhead as the midfield lynchpin and one huffy striker isolated up front on his own. If we don’t have the courage to change our approach and/or make a couple of solid signings in the next few hours then we will probably get relegated.
  10. McGinty inevitably blotted his copybook yesterday with the clumsy challenge for the penalty, but otherwise played well. He does actually try and looks like he cares, none of which compensates for his lack of ability which will ultimately have to be addressed. Adeloye annoys folk because he does appear to have some ability, but his attitude of late has been stinking. Other than the televised match against Accies, he’s barely kicked a ball since last September. The only one who can change that is him, assuming he really wants to. I’d rather see us go 2 up front with the new guy and probably McKenzie - at least he’ll move and give the opposition something to think about. I certainly haven’t written Moffat off either, but I accept I seem to be in the minority on that one.
  11. There’s been plenty worse than Zanatta. Gary Harkins comes to mind immediately. I also remember Nigel Jemson bust a gut on a short term contract then down tools as soon as we gave him a long term contract. I would never defend Zanatta, but in truth he barely got a chance in his favoured wide position. By the time we gave up on Walsh and looked to Zanatta as a solution, he’d already checked out on us.
  12. Situation looks pretty grim to me. Bullen really hasn’t got any reaction at all out of the players and is making the same mistakes as the previous 2 managers. - one up front, a static midfield and Muirhead as the lynchpin is just brutal to watch and isn’t delivering results. The run in looks really bad for us as well with so many away games to come. I’m beginning to think Davie White is some kind of misunderstood genius as he’s the only manager since McCall who seems to be able to get anything out of the players at his disposal. I see there are some people still defending Adeloye - hard to believe they’ve actually watched him recently. Makes Zanatta look like a work horse.
  13. He just didn’t have the pace to bother Accies defensively and ended up in no mans land.. Looked completely ineffective and was at fault for their goal (not everything that goes wrong in the world is down to McGinty!). Didn’t help that Houston was miles off it again and offered nothing on the overlap. Can only hope he improves with match fitness, but he was a real disappointment today.
  14. Brutal stuff from Ayr again. A 5 man midfield that can’t retain any possession and one hopelessly (or is that hopeless) isolated striker up front. We simply cannot continue with these failed tactics and with Muirhead in midfield - I don’t blame the guy as it’s not his fault that he's been played out of position all season, but his distribution and use of the ball is simply horrendous. . Only bright spots were Maxwell who is.clearly our best midfielder so was obviously dropped to the bench and the new striker who looked to have a bit of pace and movement. Dempsey getting injured probably leaves us back to square one in terms of fixing the shape of the midfield. Was really disappointed with Gondoh - I understood he was direct and pacy, but he looked a yard too slow and miles out his depth.
  15. Yep, and the free kick was subsequently deleted from the records. Sums up his time at Ayr really.
  16. There was always a suggestion he arrived at Ayr with some kind of injury problem, which might be why he ended up at Ayr in the first place (if you look round the table and can’t tell who the sucker is….). Far too slow for the Championship. Had the very odd decent game when we tried park the bus tactics and he just sat in front of the back 4, but as soon as we came up against a team that could move the ball around reasonably quick, he was lost. Maybe he’ll come back to haunt us, but I really struggle to see how he’ll suddenly find the yard of pace that was missing throughout his 18 months at Ayr.
  17. Genuinely can’t get my head round this. Dunfermline have taken leave of their senses. I honestly have nothing against Chalmers, but for whatever reason, he was a yard too slow for the Championship throughout his time at Ayr. Getting him off the wage bill is a stunning bit of business.
  18. Its not that I rate Chalmers, it’s just that we are so short of players even with Dempsey coming in. If Murdoch gets injured, we are screwed. I can only think there are more moves afoot, particularly if Chalmers was indeed one of our high earners.
  19. Dear Dunfermline peeps… Your mood isn’t going to improve much. What a bizarre signing.
