    So that’s it agreed then, playing 3 times a season, with October 17th pencilled in the diary! I think we need to decide ASAP about this reconstruction one way or another so that clubs can start to budget for the new season.

    Well said. I think the majority will be happy for the club to keep the money. I’d be disappointed if any of the fans, apart from those in need of the money themselves, claimed it back.

    Had a quick google of him as I can’t remember him at all. Looks like he would have been a teenager back then. Came from Rangers and played 8 games for us. 1 start and 7 off the bench.

    Was it not that season that Vaughan scored in every game in the first couple of months despite playing out wide?

    Wow... funny how memories change over the years.

    Yeah definitely. The following season in the First Division, even with Jimmy Nicholl returning, the crowds were never the same. It’s crazy watching the old clips with the enclosure full. Even seeing the crowds that away teams brought back then is mad.

    If we do get cardboard cut outs, I’ll pay top dollar for one of that Fife’s Finest boy holding the chair up!

    Going with prices of plain football shirts from their website, I’ll guess that we’d make about £20 from an adults top.

    Same here, I much prefer getting a banter with the Pars fans than having to endure the East Fife ones. That was just embarrassing having to play against minnows like that.

    You’ve got your wires crossed mate. John just picked the winner of the kids competition. The one that got closest to guessing the actual design... which was scarily good.

    Raging there’s not a champions ‘Star’ above the badge. Would have been worth it just for the seethe from across the Kincardine!

    True, but Nesbit leaving meant that we brought through Kieron Bowie who finished top goal scorer and made the club a fortune.

    I’m sure we paid big bucks for Harvey, Browne and Bonar that summer. Add that to the cash we also spent of ground redevelopment that same season and it’s no surprise we ended up down the creek financially.

    Couldn’t care less who makes the strip, as long as the design is good! I like the bit about getting the training kit etc on sale too.

    I wasn’t overly impressed either, however to be fair, we had not long had CB’s of Murray, Ellis, Hill, Marv and Campbell to choose from so it was always going to be hard to impress when taking over from those guys.

    I think I did Ally Graham a disservice at the time. I used to think he was a big haddie but looking at some of those highlights he was pretty good! Stevie Craw looked an absolute gem as well! Another player who I didn’t remember being that good!

    Yes it was, however it still included some big names.

    Dair, Cameron and Crawford... just wow! I’d actually forgotten how good Silky was as well.

    One thing I’d blanked from my memory was where big George Mcgeachie played for us. Did he play at the back or in the middle?
