  1. Whatever Deeney is up to just now, it’s definitely not managing FGR.
  2. He really needs to, and I cannot stress this enough, shut the f**k up.
  3. Said it a million times. I’ve seen St Johnstone win three trophies and come up against Galatasaray playing boring football. I know what I’d rather.
  4. Weirdly enough, 95% of people wading in on the CL to Saints articles on X are Celtic fans. He must have wound them up somewhere down the years.
  5. He was in the background while still playing a United. On Clyde 1 the other night he acknowledged that there will be more experienced candidates and that it would be really tough to go straight in at Premiership level, but there’s no harm in chucking his CV in, which is fair enough.
  6. In all honesty, if it were to happen, do you guys feel that he’s maybe run his course at Livi? When Tommy Wright left Saints there was a definite feeling that the time was right for him to step down, just wonder whether that’s the same with Martindale, or if you think he still has a lot to give?
  7. Don’t get the Neilson love-in at all tbh. Never been impressed. We need a grinder-outer.
  8. That’s quite the high horse for a fan of a club who, in just the last few years, employed Leigh Griffiths and Paul McGowan. I’d maybe sit this one out.
  9. Did he used to sell drugs? People really ought to be made aware of this.
  10. Can’t expect him to say anything when he’s still the Livi manager. Doesn’t stop journos fishing though!
  11. I know you can read very little into bookies’ odds, but DM currently evens on McBookie after starting off at 5/1
  12. Definitely. Get the impression that it’s a lot further on than ‘considering move for…’.
  13. If his heart was in it, McGregor would be fantastic as a dressing room presence alone.
  14. Can't even wish someone a Happy Birthday without making a complete Noel Hunt of it.
  15. Really wanted him to do well at Saints, but in total honesty and with no disrespect intended, you would find more capable front men in the juniors.
  16. Might turn out not to be the case, but this type of signing is far more palatable than a Mahon or Cleary from the Irish league, which has been proven time and again to be a step below the standard we need.
  17. Is this the thread you're referring to? https://cambridgeunitedfc.proboards.com/thread/5089/ex-players?page=810 Gold from page 810 onwards.
  18. Mitov shows a bit of ambition IMO. Could easily have gone for a Jamie MacDonald or Trevor Carson to ensure we have a strong back up to Sinclair if required. One thing's for sure: a 26-year-old goalkeeper with 150+ appearances in England is not coming in to gladly sit on the bench.
