Some of you need to give up and branch out from your small town loyalties. PInk Turban in Wishaw and Spice of Life in Cumbernauld are still Lanarkshire’s elite establishments. Anyway, a win for the good guys incoming today.

Despite it being a terrible season (apart from the playoffs) these two games always stuck in my mind along with the 4-0 hammering of Accies. The less we talk about the St Mirren away game that followed the better.

Tbf the 3-1 victory was great but I always remember the 2-1 game when Higdon scored the winner shortly after Celtic equalised more fondly. Probably just because it was Fir Park at night [emoji7] What I’d give to beat either of the OF once this season never mind back to back with Lennon greeting in the stand.

The s*n claiming Lasley is to be given 4 games to prove himself. That would be. Hamilton Accies (A) St Mirren (A) Rangers (H) Aberdeen (A) Getting thrown right in at the deep end it seems. Realistically how many points would he have to take from those 4 to convince the club?

The enduring memory surely has to be getting put out the cup off a team with 2 last names that were sitting third bottom in league 2 at the time. The image of him raging with Baraclough’s huge grin in the background (think while we were 3-0 up at Ibrox) is still imprinted in my head today.

Even when he’s not at one he still manages to get sacked by a club in claret and amber.

Think it’ll be 2-1 either way. Wouldn’t surprise me if Lasley managed to pull a win from nowhere but at the same time I also wouldn’t be surprised by our current form continuing and Hamilton taking all 3 points.

Will be a fair laugh when Celtic sack Lennon on Saturday night only for us to beat them in the race for Eddie Howe.

Tbh it’s not just a bad spell. We have been absolutely woeful for the entire year (6 league wins). We are on the same points now as we were in Dec 2014 (the season we ended up in the playoffs) having played 1 game more than we had then. When we play bad we lose and when we play well we fail to win, something had to change. In his interview yesterday he sounded defeated and even admitted there are only around 7 or 8 players that are giving all they can for the club. Still not confident that any of those being tipped by betting sites would be able to turn it around. Players must take some blame too.

Can’t see Stuart McCall getting another go considering the form towards the end of his spell was dreadful. I’ll genuinely cry if I even see Mark McGhee’s name associated with the club. I like Lasley and am happy that he’s still associated with the club but don’t want him or Mo Ross in charge. Not convinced with Gary Holt considering we’re beginning to see that most of the good things done at Livingston were mostly thanks to Martindale. Tommy Wright? Stephen Craigan? We’ll see what happens.
