Afternoon guys. Just wondering what the prevailing mood was at today's game regarding the potential takeover? I notice it was a fair distance to travel so understandable there was less than a 1000 there but still enough to make your feelings known. First time I've ever checked Scottish lower league scores. Oddly feel a bit of affinity. Maybe it's because fans of our clubs are working together for the greater good. f**k the Stenhousemuir haha!

For the avoidance of doubt I will make it clear the good guys are the fans group 'Back the Bairns' and not the current incumbents. From what little I know the current board appears to part of the problem which certainly explains the desperation for Mr Campbell to be a hero.

Morning Shadwell. With respect this is a discussion forum designed to debate and speculate any number of different issues. It's not a great idea to silence those who you disagree with. You'll end up with a forum of yes men/women. I've thoroughly enjoyed the discussion and most of it has been good natured and progressive. Given that, I won't "f**k off" for the time being. I'd like to see this through and cheer on the good guys. As I've said numerous times if you feel the need to focus your anger and foul language on me then that is absolutely fine. I honestly can't praise the way your fans group have reacted to this enough. To get the local press on side is a great move. You would be lucky to have them in charge of your club and as long as the due diligence is all above board then I genuinely believe you will all be the next owners of Falkirk. Gentleman, I can honestly understand the hostility. This outsider has swanned onto your forum and told you that your potential messiah is not all he presents himself to be. I fully respect the fact you want this to be the real deal. I mean, who wouldn't? So in that respect I'm more than happy for you to lash out at me. To address a point, I wasn't involved/paid for the digging. I used the word 'we' as a collective term for sunderland supporters. I hadn't considered the sensitivity of the information when I mistakenly offered it to everyone. Got a bit of a ticking off for that actually. The information we found wasn't affiliated to any Sunderland forum and as far as I'm aware was never posted on any forum. If my posts have led you to believe that I can only apologise but in my defence I didn't once mention Sunderland fans forums until I responded to mic17s querey earlier today.

Shagger. Google 'Sunderlands fan forum' and I'm sure you'll find what you're looking for. I haven't looked at, let alone posted on one, for at least 5 years. They were utterly toxic and rife with bullying back then. God knows what they're like now.

Morning mic17. Well no that particular part of the document obviously referred to Sunderland. I assume your fans group have done their own digging on the back of that. I'm not sure what you mean by the second part. Board name? Username? Of who? You've lost me.

Morning Shadwell. I didn't hand over any information to anyone as it wasn't my 'dirt' to hand out. Those responsible for funding and organising the background checks are owners of the findings and while I have read the documents I certainly would have no right to hand it over to just anyone. It is my understanding that these documents have since been forwarded to group of fans from your club. I assumed that would be the group looking to take over your club but given I haven't been privy to these conversations I can't say with 100% certainty. Given the documents did contain the 'non-story' leaked to the press I thought it was a fair assumption to make but I could be mistaken. Hope this clears everything up for you. Good luck.

Morning Shadwell. The 'smoking gun' has been passed to the relevant fans group and is being dealt with as they see fit. I will certainly not be undermining them as I believe they are the people with your clubs best interests at heart. Sunderland are a bit of a shambles right now but me posting on here from Canada has absolutely no relevance to that. Odd that you'd believe the two are somehow linked. Best of luck

Morning. Just a quick post to express my dismay at how underhand your board have acted here. If I've read this correctly it was the board who leaked the information to the national press. That in itself is massively unprofessional but to leak the specific story they did is clearly an attempt to turn fans against your fans group, and potentially rule them out of any future bid for the club. They've deliberately leaked a nothing story and kept the major 'indiscretions' to themselves to make it look like sour grapes from the fans consortium. Skillufully done but really despicable behaviour. I only hope it hasn't conned too many people. Best of luck.

I can't put into words how much I'm in awe of your fans group for speaking up. They may very well save your football club with what they now know. I hope they get control of your club and take you from strength to strength.

Good to see the email was acted upon. I've been led to believe that your board are maybe not quite as competent as I'd hoped. In normal circumstances this would be terminal. Hopefully it is here.

I don't know what your clubs assests are and if I'm truthful I don't even know what your stadium is called let alone wether you own it. All that is completely missing the point though, we didn't know what his exact plans for Sunderland where but what we did find out is that the plans he was attempting to sell the fans were downright lies and his history ranged from sketchy to downright disgraceful. That was enough to convince us that he was not a man we wanted in charge of our club and when you see the information I am 100% convinced you'll feel exactly the same. Honestly if you want to focus your anger and swear at me that's absolutely fine. Vent if you need to. I've said it numerous times but it's worth repeating, if your board are remotely competent this all a moot point and will be nothing more than a close call.

Apologies it was absolutely not my intention to patronise your fan base, it was a comment on the public in general. People love to be told how great things are going to be and tend to be putty in the hands of those who sell them these pipe dreams. This is what will happen on Monday and I pray for your sake your board have the best interests of the club at heart. If they do this is all a moot point because the sale won't even get close to going through. Regarding this "feckin evidence", as I said earlier I have emailed one of the guys who organised the background check requesting a copy, or at least a summary, as yet I've had no reply but given it's a work email address and it's the weekend I'm not particularly shocked by this. I can totally understand why you're turning on me because I'm an outsider coming here and telling you your business. It's your club not mine and I'm not going to pretend to have any love for it but I am a football fan and I would hate to see a club in danger through no fault of the fans.
