  1. Murray favours a back three so it makes a lot of sense to have another in. I'd have been happy with what we had and playing a back four personally.
  2. Seems to me that the lack of business in the last few weeks might be down to us wanting a fee for Robert before completing the squad, and now that competitive games are just around the corner we've panicked and brought in several trialists because our squad is too thin.
  3. I agree that Cove are worthy favourites, I just fancied the bookies to continue with Falkirk for a third year running.
  4. We were 4th last year at longer odds. Expected Falkirk to be listed as favourites once again if I'm honest.
  5. Will be interesting to see if Murray persists with 352 for every League Cup game. He certainly did for both friendlies but I'd like to see us try something different as well. 352 worked well at the end of last season but there's no guarantees it remains the best formation for us when we've got such a different squad.
  6. O'Connor and McDonald looked fine to me but I was unimpressed with the rest, particularly the left sided defender. Hard to judge the midfielder that came on late and hardly got any minutes.
  7. Based on the trialists I think it's clear that we're still looking to bring in players in every position pretty much. If I recall correctly we've seen two trialists in defence, two in midfield and three up front?
  8. Given that he's playing on the right of the back 3 I'd say this is maybe one of those times when transfermarkt is unreliable. He's looked decent enough in my opinion but the trialist on the other side of the defence was a bit at fault for the goal. Midfield's been nonexistent.
  9. Is McDonald the blonde trialist wearing I think number 15 in midfield? Whoever he is I think he's looked really good since he came on
  10. From what I've been able to see I'm quite chuffed with Agnew, McCabe, Easton and Wardrop.
  11. Stream is atrocious. Poor picture, jumpy, and it keeps cutting out. Don't remember Clyde's stream being this bad last season.
  12. I'm certain there will be at least one striker added to the squad, maybe two. Roy, Carrick, and Connell all departed and only Allan has came in. Easton might play up front with Gallagher and Pyott might get more chances but there's obviously no guarantees with him considering his lack of appearances and frequent injuries. Regardless, I'm hopeful that Gallagher will manage to score more with more creative players around him, our midfield definitely seems more creative on paper than it has for the last few years.
  13. A defensive midfielder maybe? We really don't need another centre back. I assumed Watson would take it since Kerr and Fordyce had 4 and 6.
  14. Just noticed the squad numbers are now on the club's website. 1 Max Currie 2 Sam Wardrop 3 Rico Quitongo 4 Josh Kerr 6 Callum Fordyce 7 Rhys McCabe 8 Scott Agnew 9 Calum Gallagher 10 Dylan Easton 11 Thomas Robert 12 Dean Ritchie 14 Jordan Allan 16 Craig Watson 17 Patrick Pyott 18 Jay Cantley 19 Scott Walker 21 Adam Frizzell
  15. If McDonald is a good prospect that can cover a few positions then I'd be delighted with that (particularly left back since I never felt confident having only McCann there last season and would prefer if here was cover for Quitongo). However, I can't imagine we're signing him because we missed out on Paton so I'd still expect another defensive midfielder to come in. Reckon after McDonald joins (assuming he does) we'll only be that one midfielder and a striker or two off of a full squad. Wouldn't be surprised if a third goalie comes in as well although I'm not too fussed about that since Morton have shown us how easy it is to get an emergency loan in if necessary.
  16. Has Connell signed a new deal with Killie? I know he was offered one and I'd be surprised if he didn't accept it but I'd love to have him back either as our player or another year on loan.
  17. Did Ritchie possibly sign a two year deal last summer as well as Robert? Certainly seems that way.
  18. Incredibly strong signings from Cove and a statement of their intent, but three year deals to players their age seems a bit mad.
  19. We might think that and we might be right that he's good enough to play in the Championship but we don't actually know if any Championship teams were in for him. As far as I know Falkirk were the only team rumoured to be signing him.
  20. Is that just a suggestion/guess since he's left Edinburgh City or is it a rumour you've heard? I'd be happy enough if he joined to be honest, big lad that knows where the net is.
  21. The midfielders we have at the moment are all quite attack minded. I'd expect us to bring in a more defensive midfielder before the season starts but it might be a while before it happens if we were banking on signing Paton.
