  1. With only 4 matches left for everyone, tonight's games certainly cleared up some things. It's clearly DU's league to lose. They only need 8 of 12 points available to them to take it, and that's if Raith win out. Raith, Partick and Airdrie look to be the playoff teams, but Partick's long spell in third will hinge on which Rover's team shows up Saturday and the Airdrie result. The Airdrie vs Pars match will be huge, with an Airdrie win likely all but clinching the playoffs. Tonight's draw between Ayr and Morton leaves them, plus the Pars, in decent position above the bottom, but a bit far from the top. None of them are safe, but that are all likely playing for position versus each other unless the Pars can win at Airdrie. Ayr look best positioned for the weekend, facing Arbroath. The Queen's Park vs ICT match will certainly clarify the hopes of both sides, with ICT's superior GD meaning that Queen's Park have to keep at least that one point lead. Arbroath, well, the only team with nothing to play for, so they'll probably win.
  2. You’re both pitiful fair weather fans if you feel belittling players when the team does poorly is the answer to your frustrations.
  3. Disagree vehemently. JBrown is a much better defender. Our defensive problems are in the middle with inconsistency, confusion and SBrown. Now, JBrown isn’t IM’s preferred attacking FB, but he’s certainly what we needed with the Millen Affair.
  4. It’s really simple, we’re net positive versus every team but Airdrie this year…vs Airdrie we’re 1 point from 9 possible, and heading for 1 from 12. FFS, we’re even positive versus DU on the year!
  5. I’m concerned that IM has fallen into a trap here. Playing Airdrie like every other match this season is, in my mind, risky. We’ll see, supposedly it’s why they pay him. It will pretty much give us a read for Matthews vs Byrne, so there’s that.
  6. Just caught myself checking airfares for 2 May, probably jinxed us for tonight…sorry, lads!
  7. Nah, breakfast, dinner and supper was how some of the relatives named it…but, on your point, they were from Fife.
  8. May seem a bit strange, but if you have a local, in-person insurance agent, worth asking him/her where they source their collision replacements. Most insurance companies use “good used” parts whenever possible, and finding a salvage yard that can produce parts that haven’t already been damaged (tabs snapped off, etc) is useful, and much cheaper than new from Kia.
  9. There is no dark side of the moon, really. Matter of fact, it’s all dark.
  10. No, we actually haven’t. Airdrie has been a nemesis team this year…with Arbroath also a wee bother. Everyone else we’re well ahead on points earned versus allowed, Airdrie we’re absolutely not.
  11. (All scores are IM’s team first) 3 X 0-1 and 1 X 1-1 in 23/24 (w/Raith)…that’s 0-1-3 3 X 0-1 in 19/20 (w/Airdrie)…that’s 0-0-3, running total 0-1-6 1 X 0-2, 1 X 0-1, and 1 X 1-1 in 18/19 (w/Airdrie, taking over in Oct)…that’s 0-1-2. Running total is confirmed as 0-2-8, but only seven of the eight losses were by 0-1, one was by 0-2.
  12. Ditto, just outside Dallas and had about 4:20 of totality. It was eerie, the amount of light that was still coming from very little exposed sun was nuts, until quite suddenly it just got dark. The temperature had been cooling, things got quiet, and the overall appearance of things got washed out in the run-up to it. Shadow bands really were strange as they rippled across the parking lots. Had seen a 99% eclipse in 1984, and this was very different.
  13. DJT now at $37.17, down over 50% from its high, and down 23% from its IPO price. Trump out over $2 billion now.
  14. Commonly £15 for such, which is why a months subscription makes sense at £19.99.
  15. The most popular floppy disk brand in the 8” (and 5 1/4”) days was “Elephant”…just saying. Worse, I took a class in COBOL…
  16. I just wish it was because he got them points in the Dead Pool!
  17. Reporting that caddies at Trump’s golf clubs have a nickname for him, “Pelé”. Apparently due to his foot wedge habits.
  18. As young as you are, probably a 3.5”, eh? Us old systems, er, folks have 8”ers.
  19. I actually prefer Piers Anthony’s version, where my mottled soul would simply fall to pieces as Thanatos attempted to classify it because I decline to participate in the system. Given the behavior of a number of computers I’ve owned, I would certainly attribute a soul to a few of them. I suspect your version of hell might involve classifying tanks…I just hope mine would have a Liz Hurley thread.
  20. Happy to go, hell is where all the freaky and fun people will be.
  21. https://www.gunviolencearchive.org/charts-and-maps 2024, so far...if that doesn't get your attention, you're a Republican who thinks MORE guns are the answer.
  22. Agreed, but lets look at it this way...if you lose the Airdrie and Queen's Park over the next two weeks, it won't be so far fetched and the match against ICT will be pretty tense. Is it likely, IDK...Airdrie blow hot and cold, as do Queen's Park...and Ayr and yourself, to be honest. I don't have an easy characterization for ICT, but they're back in the mix again. Do I think the Pars are safe, yea...but it's fitba, and we're always brooding on dark thoughts and conspiracies...
  23. The hilarious thing about this is it’s now becoming quite possible that there could be as little as first and eighth, or even nothing, to play for on the last Friday night, depending on results. And that’s after the last day last year effectively had 9 of the 10 playing something!
