  5. 5. Wolfenstein: The New Order - I wasn't expecting this to be anything special when I started the game. I was expecting at most a decent WW2-style FPS, but I couldn't have been more wrong. The gunplay in this game is just way too satisfying, and the amount of different guns and perks you can get make this such a joyful experience. It features the most demented villain in gaming in my opinion, and there are a handful of emotional scenes thrown in there as well. Without doubt the best FPS I have ever played. 4. Mega Man Legends - I got this game the day after we got the PS1, because my dad thought that Crash Bandicoot 2 and TOCA 1 wasn't enough. Having played Mega Man 2 on the NES previously, I was over the moon when I discovered there was another title on a modern console, and it was 3D! I loved the alive and colourful city, the hilarious villains, and the creppy vibe of the dungeons. I played it again after 20 years, and I managed to beat it after failing to do so during my childhood. I have to admit, I got a little emotional when I watched the ending where the townspeople wave you goodbye. 3. Mega Man 2 - Just like MML, I have a deep connection with this title. I have never seen my family get so immersed in a game before. Trying to find out what weapon takes down the robot masters the fastest was such a pure experience. My dad and Auntie were obsessed with this game, and I still remember how shocked they were when they discovered that you still have to go through a fortress after defeating the 8 robot masters. Shit got real at that point, and hearing the Wily Stage 1 for the first time made me really appreciate the art of gaming. If anyone has never heard this stage theme before, you should give it a listen. It is an incredible piece of 8-bit music, and shows why the NES and SNES Mega Man games had some of the greatest music in gaming. Here is a link to the Wily Stage 1 theme: 2. Tony Hawk's Underground 1 - This game was everything to me back when I was a skater during the 00's. The story was fucking superb, and it birthed one of the most underrated antagonists in gaming: Eric-fucking-Sparrow! 1. Super Mario Bros 3 - What an incredibly ambitious game. It added so much revolutionary ideas like the inventory, mushroom houses, card games, and the 8 unique maps. I still have fond memories of my kid-mind being so immersed reading through the instruction booklet during long car rides. Each world offers variety, and it stops the gameplay from getting a bit stale. My favourite worlds are Sky world, Ice World, and GIANT world. One thing I absolutely love about this game is that there are a lot of rare occurrences that keep the game exciting. For example, there is only one level that features these enemies that jump around on those shoes that you can ride yourself. Since it only turns up briefly and is never seen again after the level, this makes the level and world stand out more. The same could be said for the Coin ship, the secret white Mushroom House, and the amazing Hammer Bro suit that only turns up in two mushroom houses. There is a good chance that there are a handful of people reading this that have never seen or heard of the Coin Ship and white Mushroom House. This proves how game-changing SMB3 is. There are still people discovering secrets to this day and being blown away by them. Last year, I remember showing my brother the magic whistle that was in world 2. He thought I was full of shite, since he was convinced that there were only 2 magic whistles in the game. When he was proven wrong, he looked like he just discovered ancient buried treasure lol. That is the power that SMB3 has.

  7. Cuphead (2017, PS4) A game that has a nice mix of genres that make up a stellar passion project. The art is heavily inspired by 30's/40's cartoons, which makes this game stand out as a unique experience that looks and plays beautifully throughout the duration of the playthrough. The majority of this game are boss fights that challenge the player with interesting attack patterns that keep the game fresh. Each boss feels entirely different from the other, and they ooze with personally. Every boss has different phases, which prevents the fights from getting too stale and mundane. You will also go through levels that play like typical Platformers such as Mario, Mega Man, and Donkey Kong. I enjoyed these a lot, since they felt like a nice breather from the chaotic boss fights. Cuphead also has local multiplayer, so unfortunately you can both only play on the same console. Still, at least they took the time to make 2 player possible, and they didn't just make it a single player experience. The game has a colorful and detailed world map where you can talk to NPCs that can give you mini tasks that can reward you with a little extra currency. Speaking of currency, you can spend it on upgrades at shops that can make the difficulty more manageable. Now that I have mentioned difficulty, I think it is time to bring our attention to the elephant in the room........The Difficulty! The difficulty throughout this game is infamous for being incredibly hard. Personally, I was expecting something far more frustrating and ball-breaking compared to what I really experienced. I do think the game is still hard, but that is only when you compare it to the the majority of modern games. As someone who has beaten a lot of tough NES titles like Ghost N Goblins, Adventure Island 1, and Castlevania 3, I think this games is way more forgiving. It feels like a much easier ride when you have went through the painful experience of beating those classics from the NES era. Gaming journalists overblown how hard this game was when it was released back in 2017 regarding it as the Dark Souls of Platformers, which I find halirous and ludicrous at the same time. Yes, you will have a hard time with the game, but there are plenty of upgrades and no bullshit deaths that make it more of a manageable kind of hard. I will end by saying I had an absolute blast of a time with this game. The art will win a lot of people over, and it one of the games strongest points besides the gameplay. I should also mention that the music is fantastic, which is always very important, since it makes dying constantly on a fight not nearly as bad since the melodies are so damn good. I got the game for £12 on the PS Store, which is an absolute bargain for such a masterpiece. It was around £18 originally, and I think it will still be discounted, so it will be totally worth getting the game right away before the price goes back up. Rating: A solid 9/10
  8. A sensational cover from one of the pioneers of the Reggea genre. Will never fail to lift up my mood.
  9. "But he is English lol"
  10. I just can't say no to the early 90's Ice Cube beats. I was also heavily into The Beach Boys during the summer. I know it is cool to hate Kokomo, but I honestly get so much joy from that song.
  11. I am 100% sure that the shirtless guy is expressing pure emotion.
  12. Hysterical reaction. If FIFA games ever made a final boss for each team, that shirtless lunatic would be the one you have to defeat to win the final against England.
  13. Steve Marriot Eric Bourdon Roger Daltrey Brian Johnson Dan Mccafferty
  14. Night Prowler It's a Long Way to the Top Ride on Rock 'N' Roll Ain't Noise Pollution Sin City
  15. I was today years old when I discovered that Rockin All Over the World by Status Quo is actually a cover song that was originally done by John Fogerty from Creedence Clearwater Revival.
  16. Brian Johnson from AC/DC Incredibly humble, and he is always a good laugh throughout his interviews. Having a pint with him would be bucket list material for me.
  17. The "My child has the right to do whatever they want!" mentality from parents has always pissed me off. I have recently moved into the first floor of a new property, and the people on the ground floor have this incredibly loud kid. This noisy wee shite from hell bangs and screams constantly starting from 6am to 12pm through the day. There are times I can hear my living room vibrating from the loud bangs he loves to make. I can put up with the kid screaming, since you can barley hear it from this floor. The banging on the other hand is incredibly frustrating, and it can easily destract you whenever you're playing a game, watching a film, or even playing guitar. The first night I moved in here, the bloke from the floor above told me that he recently told them to try and discipline their kid for making so much noise. They have obviously not listened, since it has gradually been getting worst since I moved in last month. Parents like that love to put their kid on a pedestal, and they get really offended when someone rightly tells them to be more respectful to the neighbours. If the shoe was on the other foot, I bet they would soon get pissed off with that much noise, and they would probably be the first to tell the kid's parent's to keep the noise down.
  18. Mega Man X1 - Spark Mandrill The first 3 MMX games have class OST's to be fair.
  19. I can't stand Ricky Gervais. He has always stuck me of as a bully who would pick on the disabled kid at school. His Golden Globes shite has always been hypocritical as f**k to me. How can someone go on about celebrities being too preachy, when he himself constantly talks about his Atheism and Political shit constantly. He was funny back when The Office was around nearly 20 years ago. It is like he has aged backwards into an insufferable edgelord who will say any stupid thing only if it stops them from being PC.
  20. The people who type "haha" in Limmy's Twitch chat when he just breathes or pulls a face need dragged out the back of a dark alley with a dog lead and shot.
  21. 262 hours of The Smiths? Christ! I need prescribed some Citalopram.
  22. Refused to get interviewed with the rest of the leaders because he would rightly of been exposed. Hides in a fridge on national TV to dodge questions. Brings out a manifesto that has no policies to help the vulnerable in our society. Still wins the election, even though it was obvious that he was scared to be put on the hot seat. He played a cunning and easy game, and it sadly fooled the British public. Fucking disgraceful.
