I can't think of one viable football club that doesn't have a) an active beneficiary or b) regular contributions from fan ownership. Partick Thistle currently have neither. The sooner the PTFC Trust realise this the shallower the hole we'll have to dig ourselves out of.

This can only end in one of two ways. 1. Without additional income the club stagnates, goes backwards, moves into financial trouble and the fans have to save it. Again. 2. The board/PTFC Trust realise the unsustainability of the current set up and engage maturely with The Jags Foundation, allowing proper fan ownership as any reasonable person would define it.

Ian McCall on Radio Scotland last night when talking about season being called and Thistle being relegated, "Well my attitude is we'll win two titles in a row rather than just one." Love the guy.

My understanding is that Coin Weir is a Thistle supporter, not a Barnsley supporter. Why should he fund a feeder club for Barnsley? I hope the Chien Lee takeover doesn't go ahead.
