The big POTY and awards thread.

Thought Ronan Sweeney would have been a shoe in for something! -
Sounds like they are down to their final 2 for sure
-
The 18s were involved in a match of their own on Saturday and he chose to protect the 19s and not risk them getting injured in a dead rubber in the WoSFL. Coupled with 2 suspensions 1 long term injury plus another player unavailable to person reasons. How are The Buffs getting on with their quest for a new manager? Seems you are fairly close to the situation.

You’ll not have watched Chris’s post match interview explaining the reason behind not having the youth players in the squad then…
-
Appreciate the comments Funky! Wouldn’t be able to do it without Garry, David and Lauren though! Very fortunate to have a good team around me. Looking forward to next season to step things up and making it even better!

Walking Down the Beechwood Road mk 2
ibenji replied to TFW's topic in West of Scotland Football League
Wait for more wosfl teams? Why would you want to face a Kilwinning, Darvel, Talbot, clydebank or Pollok(delete whichever one you support)rather than a Gretna, Broomhill, caley braves or edin/stirling uni? More WoSFL teams in the league will only make it a harder league! Get up there as soon as possible and face the dross in the lowland. -
Keeper looking for club .

Why is his Da posting on Pie and Bovril looking for a team? Surely he knows his way about the internet and social media to make the relevant enquiries? -
The media tower currently has no floor or safe access, hence we’re using the stand.

Specific request from the Darvel committee, can only presume they had concerns after the handbags at Glenafton
-
After the Darvel fans were ripped off by having to pay a booking fee.. Darvel requested segregation and at the time we didn’t have enough volunteers to be able to operate 2 cash gates and keep everything segregated. We have since hired security guards to manage the segregation freeing up 2 volunteers who can then run a cash gate at the away end. It’s only been sorted in the last day hence why the ask was for fans to buy online tickets in advance. We don’t have segregation at any of our other games so not sure why it’s necessary here. If you’ve an issue with the booking fee maybe your chairman can cover the £1.21 expense!

The reason for the online tickets for away fans is because Darvel asked for a segregated section for away fans and Kilwinning only have 1 main gate. If there hadn’t been a specific request then away fans would be able to use the cash gate and stand anywhere they want. The booking fee is just an unfortunate extra that comes with having online tickets. -

Where is the SFA rule on this? Haven’t seen anything that suggests this, infact the opposite -
WOSFL Programmes
ibenji replied to I survived Cabot Cove's topic in West of Scotland Football League
No programme at kilwinning Rangers. Was loss making, and left with loads of left overs each match! Most content is available on YouTube or club website at this point! -
teams with large season ticket holder/member bases will probably be unlikely have away fans. Teams with smaller home fans should be able to have it. However if a team is selling advanced paper tickets on limited days at their ground may make this difficult for away fans to get to. Hopefully clubs take the common sense approach and have tickets available online or reserved via email to be paid at the gate.

Alienate fans??? Actually daftest thing I've heard on this form. You dont get how social media works, you should delete the internet too from all your devices you'd be better off! -

to keep fan connected to the club. Some are live streaming the game too so fans can still watch it. The view that because fans aren't allowed clubs shouldn't advertise games is possibly is a ridiculous view to have. It's like saying if a fan doesn't go to the game in normal times because they have something else to do they shouldn't be kept up to date with the game! -

Yes, kelty got shafted and have money but didn’t see to work, hearts have money still got relegated. I’m just not sure what’s different about Darvel that they’ll have some sort of special money to affect change? -

the clubs vote on what rules are in place, not much money can do to fight the establishment. Kelty have plenty £££ and haven't managed to change anything, it will take years before to get teams through the promotion process before there can be any impact on the rules
