  1. Have to say all things considered this is a massive U-turn from big Al fair play to him. Had some good offers down south and decided to stay here. Well in.
  2. We've definitely shown in the past it is something we can do when push comes to shove, Callachan signing last season after having a good season with Accies was one that stood out. The only way we beat these other teams to the punch is if Roy pays more. Using the loan market can actually help with that I think as we'd only be paying a percentage of their wage potentially. Lets just hope we aren't left short in key positions like last season when the season starts.
  3. I think there needs to be a blend of utilising loan players while simultaneously planning for the future. I think we were far too loan heavy last year, although the loan players that worked out (Clarke until he left, Hungbo and Vokins) added to the squad massively however we had a lot of duds (Robertson, AMB, Burroughs, Drysdale) I think it's all about balance. If we can some experienced players in who know the league on permanent deals while adding exciting young loan players in I'm all for it.
  4. Cancola signs on for another year. It's a start at least!
  5. I don't think we can afford a poor start this year like we did last season. Teams seemed to have us sussed towards the end too. Wonder if we'll sign anyone this week, seems like every other club has done business except for us.
  6. I've been told by a few people that he's had some good offers down south
  7. I rate that he's gone somewhere outside of the UK to play. Looks like he's on big bucks too. Wish him all the best as he clearly has a lot of time for everyone at the club and vice versa. Iacovitti is away too apparently which is a worry. We really should be making signings now considering what we've got.
  8. If we get europe my penis might shoot clean off of my body. He's a p***k but credit where credit is due Malky has turned it around, could be a very special season.
  9. Anything other than a straightforward Celtic win would be a surprise, given the clear gulf in quality available. Hopefully we manage to steal something and the push for europe continues.
  10. While Tilson is steady and I'm glad he's re-signed, I can't help but feel the club have majorly blue balled us. Surely they knew everyone was hoping for RCC there.
  11. I agree. I hope these aren't a front for Putin to show the western media he's trying to negotiate, while offering totally unrealistic terms to the Ukrainians
  12. I wonder how bad things would have to get in Russia for Putin to have serious worthwhile negotiations with Ukraine. I genuinely think he'd rather go out on his shield than make himself look like he's lost anything.
  13. If we win this we can start looking at the top 6. Our style is probably best suited to away games with the pace we have to break on teams. Hopefully Sims is fit and can get minutes as he's probably our replacement for RCC next season. Laidlaw Ramsay Baldwin Iacovitti Randall Paton Tilson Callachan Hungbo White RCC this would be my line up personally, Motherwell are rapid and I don't like the thought of Watson at right back against Woolery or Roberts. 2-1 county with RCC and White (I know) scoring
  14. The best Ukraine can probably do at this point is hold out a bit longer so that Russia can maybe be a bit more lenient in what they're asking for but this would be at the expense of thousands of lives in the meantime. Horrible situation for everyone involved. Russia may feel their hand was forced into this with the whole NATO expansion on their borders thing but the innocent lives being lost is a tragedy for both Russians and Ukranians.
  15. Wonder if this is why Russia is upping the ante in Kyiv, to essentially force Ukraine's hand in negotiations and putting them in a lose-lose situation.
  16. The Russian requests in these 'peace' talks are fairly obviously a way to try spin things against Ukraine when they inevitably say no to the requests. Going by reports the requests are to recognise the two 'republics' that russia now occupies, Demilitarize Ukraine, and guarantee of neutrality.
  17. Biden reiterating that no US troops will be placed in Ukraine to fight the Russians. NATO just putting 'heavy' sanctions in place. I genuinely can't even see what the end game could be here that doesn't escalate even further than it has. I hate seeing the World War 3 rhetoric on social media about it all as surely it can't get to that point, can it?
  18. Actually fairly terrifying stuff this. Hopefully it all gets resolved sooner rather than later.
  19. I'm also of the Vokins on the left > Randall persuasion. I think Ramsay will be an upgrade on Rnadall (who has been decent btw) if given game time.
  20. As funny as it is, I have a weird feeling he'll be like Yogi was for us. A laughing stock of a manager that turns out to be pretty decent.
  21. As I was saying probably one for the summer if you got a caretaker in until the end of the season. I think Thomson speaks well and Kelty are flying under him (under favourable conditions I agree) It'll be Derek Adams I think. You've sacked McPake right after he's become available.
  22. Kevin Thomson would be a good appointment for you lot imo. Although he's probably better off getting a job in the summer than now. In fact the more I think about it you'll definitely be getting Del Boy Adams
  23. I rate the confidence. He's probably right too, his CV down south is really good in terms of promotions. Although if you employ him you are accepting a meltdown in a year or two.
  24. Josh Sims has signed. If fit it's a seriously good signing.
