  1. Are we expecting anymore movement in or out before the window slams shut later? Another good window for JM in terms of the players he's managed to move out and Tait looks like a handy acquisition.
  2. Would largely agree with this. I'd probably add Hibs to this list. Went right off them when Stubbs was in charge of them and kept bad mouthing us in that title race. Maybe any team managed by Hartley too.
  3. How much are they? Might be something the equity bairns would want to sponsor, or potentially we could setup a crowd funder for them here.
  4. Thanks BB. I was certain they had a go pro or something similar recording from behind the net at one point. I must stress I still pay for the service regardless of the replays. If they could add goal replays that would really solve my main gripe. The behind the goals camera would also be good but it's not exactly essentially.
  5. At no point am I trying to pit the old regime against the new? I just said the new guys have a lot to learn, I'm sure/hope they will. The original comment was about cameras behind the goals which the old guys used to have, I also said they occasionally had a second camera in the KM7 stand. AND the big thing for me was the goal replays, clearly you don't like goal replays but for someone who has a 7 and 9 Yr old the replays are/were really helpful.
  6. I'd be Interested to hear from Lewis on it being the same person and the same camera. My understanding is they put a proposal forward to continue and the club chose the new crew instead. Not looking to start a disagreement just staying my opinion is I preferred the old setup. My issue with the replays is that I've always been used to Falkirk tv having replays and now they don't, so I get your point but i see it as a downgrade on what was on offer. I'm also sure one of the guys said the camera was now controlled by an xbox controller from a few rows down?
  7. I subscribe to the new Falkirk tv and the only positive I have about it is the new guy on commentary duties. I don't want to be overly critical because I appreciate we're currently in a Diddy league and they probably don't want to spend too much on it, but it certainly feels like the old Falkirk TV was more reliable, better angles, better replays and also occasionally they had some pre match stuff going on.
  8. Agreed. New TV providers have a lot to learn. Sure the old guys had cameras behind the goals and the odd camera up the back of the KM7 stand.
  9. Have to disagree with this. He's coaching kids and from two leagues above us. Guys 35 and planning for his future. I'm sure he's eager to get back and have a proper send off by helping us to win this league. One of the good guys imo.
  10. Apologies. Didn't realise I wasn't allowed to voice my opinion safely.
  11. I like Lewis. Lewis and the new guy would be a good duo. The new platform isnt up to much for me. No replays after goals, breaks alot, and uses Fifepay for subs.
  12. Bring back the old Falkirk TV guys. Keep the new commentator though.
  13. Fair comment. His recruitment this summer alone deserves alot of credit. Still worries me a little he doesn't seem to have a plan b and he's so reluctant to play two strikers.. But who am I to comment when his team are producing the goods. COYB
  14. I can see Morrison staying. Especially if we get promoted. I think he likes it here and although I understand the criticism he gets for rarely showing up in big games, I still think he's a great asset when he's firing. Can't see too many 'bigger' clubs being interested in him, but if we don't get up he will likely want to test himself at a higher level... Unless we offer better money again. I like Hogarth too. I think his distribution is pretty good. Unfortunately Long took his chance earlier in the season when Hogarth was injured and he's kept performing at a level where JM just can't drop him. JM tends to stick with guys who he can trust and are performing, and I like that. I do think Hogarth will work his way into the team soon enough.
  15. Fairly certain Mcginn is on a decent wage and won't be re-signed for another year. Oliver and McKay will be away too hopefully. I wonder what JM will do about McCann and Mackie. Not sure JM fully rates McCann, but Mackie Is constantly injured. I'd hope to keep Leon. Not too fussed about Mackie.
  16. FSS take their fair share of criticism on here. Despite that, it's good to see their numbers on the up again
  17. Ah.. Gutted!! It was just after they scored the opener. He was around the centre circle area and started bouncing about facing the KM7 stand cupping his ears. Normally it wouldn't bother me, but he never showed that much energy or passion for us when he was stealing a wage!
  18. Hoping @Bainsfordbairn has a picture of Williamson cupping his ears to the fans. That ended well for him.
  19. I understand. Wasn't a criticism the venue is just up the hill for me. I was just keen to understand why the club continue to use the Inchyra (and wondered if we were obliged to use them due to sponsorship reasons, which seems logical) Recently attended a wedding there back in July and I was almost £20 for a pint and large wine. Think the pint was almost £8. Would have preferred a cheaper venue that allowed more of my beer funds divert to fundraising. Appreciate the capacity concerns though.
  20. Slightly off topic.. Is there a contractual obligation on FFC to host events at the Inchyra Hotel?
  21. Interestingly Huddersfield were taken over by an American consortium in June and Phil Rawlins is allegedly part of that consortium. Very much doubt Falkirk will have anything to do with feeding them anything. More than likely the Rawlins will simply just exist in the background for a while biding their time. Unsure what their endgame is, but staying out of the way is the current game plan.
  22. Good points. Stats must be based on players from at least 20-30 years ago (probably more, alot more). That being said, dementia is a horrible disease and it's good to see the debate being brought forward. Anything that can be done to reduce that risk should be considered. Football without heading just doesn't sound right. Hopefully people much smarter than us will come up with better ideas to reduce the risk, or find a cure.
  23. Accept your views. 20+ other people liking a post about creating a new thread for this topic swayed my view the other way.
  24. I understand your point and I agree I see the merit too. I do believe it is time to create a seperate thread because this specific issue is taking over this thread and I think it's clear from the comments and likes that people are ready to move on from it (my view anyway). I believe this issue has had it's time in the view of the wider audience, and I've actually spoken to VD by DM for maybe the past week now and I think he's a really reasonable guy and clearly passionate about the club and his beliefs. I even believe he himself understands the grumblings I had. If VD and others remain discontent (and I know they do) then I think it's time to either create a new thread, or arrange a meeting with the FSS / FFC board to get the changes they need agreed/have the issues they have officially addressed/find a way to move forward together. Neither the club or FSS are likely to respond on P&B and all this is doing is sort of pitting the fans against each other needlessly. I'd be happy to join this new thread, and I'm sure others who have an interest will too. That being said, it's not my decision and obviously people can feel free to continue to post as they see fit.
  25. This is where P&B let's me down. I'd love to her the FSS version of events now we've heard yours. Or atleast their response.
