I think what we saw yesterday was that it wasn't down to injuries that we lost that game.  That team looked totally uncoached, totally unorganised and totally unmotivated.  Rumours of players wanting to leave, not getting on with the coaching staff and one allegedly on strike don't fall out of the sky.

What's the story with the player reportedly on strike you've heard? Has he fallen out with Dodds and refusing to play? I assume the player doesn't get paid if he's refusing to do his job.

  2. It would be pretty foolish to go into the season with Mckay and Samuels as our only two strikers. Oakley is a different kind of forward to the others so I think it makes complete sense bringing him in. It's always good to have options. Hopefully we can get a winger in if we make any other signings. Possibly wating to see what Uniteds plan is for Chalmers.

  3. I really hope Dodds has the balls to drop Broadfoot. Each passing game makes it look like one of the worst signings we have made. Wasnt impressed when we signed him and am sure as hell not impressed after his performances so far. We were reasonably solid with Devine and Deas last season so the sooner we get back to that partnership the better. The fact Dodds made Broadfoot captain last night suggests he will start most games though.

As for his ridiculous comment about not doing any work with the back four, surely that's where the foundations of any team is made. If you dont concede goals you dont lose games. Its unbelievable to be 9 days from the league season starting and he hasn't worked on the back four, madness.

I've wondered for a while of a 4-4-2 diamond would suit us now.  We seem very locked into the 4-2-3-1 again but I don't know of we've got the wingers to play that just now.  Harper and Duffy seem reasonable enough going up and down the flanks but I wonder if four in midfield would give us a better hold on the game.  My thinking is have Welsh at the base of the diamond in-front of the back four, with Allardice and Carson either side and MacGregor (assuming Keatings is out) at the tip.  Vincent seems to go in and out of games and I think we need Carson's grit in the middle.  Storey and Sutherland both look more effective being played centrally, but in this system they could pull wide if needed.

Yeah I like this formation. I think it would work really well for us. It would give us a really strong and solid looking midfield and allow Storey and Sutherland to play in their favoured positions.

    Hi SteveAn!

The piss poor shed of a thing is the most iconic stand in Scotland.

They should bring back the 10,000 minimum seating rule so that minter clubs like yours can't embarrass the other big clubs at the top table.

It's ok SteveAn, I get that your club is new and that playing against a massive club is exciting for you, but just reign it in a bit son.

Reign it in a bit son 🤦‍♂️, ok old boy!

I get it now, your on the wind up. Well played, you got me.  Or at least I hope you are. Theres no way these posts can be serious can they? They are far to ridiculous for that. Your joke about us playing a massive club yesterday was the one that really got me. Nicely done.

I am realistic, Dundee are a massive club and should not be drawing with backward, 3 sided stadia small time clubs like yours.

The thing is your not a massive club. Your a mid table Championship club with average players and a below average manager.  Your miles off not just winning but challenging for the league title.

Also last time I checked yous had a 3 and a half sided stadium, and that's been kind calling that piss poor shed of a thing a stand.

One start. In a back three (odd I know)

It was a bit of a Trainwreck and he was hauled off after Killie went down to 10 men to bring on another attacking player.

Playing in a back three wouldn't suit him at all. His real strength is going forward and attacking. His defending is really poor. Not surprised it was a bit of a train wreck.

Depends on the level you're at. Who's we?

Allardice is a decent player, but slow and turns like an oil tanker. Came through as a midfielder but the non-turning thing was a hindrance. Tried to play centre half for a while but really just wasn't up to it.

I could see him doing a job in League 1, maybe.
