Which McCall squad ? One of his squads went down . It wasn’t all sugar and sunshine with McCall . Admittedly he got there in the end and put a great team on the park , light weight though it was . As I’ve said before I’m not totally against McCall but let’s not get too misty eyed about his time with us . -

Oh really ? How many other 30 goals a season strikers did he sign ? Zero . LS not being in that team would have us back in the pack , exactly the same as Dipo . -

I’m not totally against McCall just cautious. At his age and with Smith determined to eradicate the plucky wee Ayr moniker maybe he’d stay a while and give us some stability in the medium term . We have to break this cycle of new managers ever couple of years . What is is it four post McCall appointments ? -

If it’s true and Courts and Bowyer have turned us down then we may have to conclude that like the other nine teams in the league we are going to have to probably appoint either a rookie or a recent failure, simple as that . People on here will be unhappy . Nothing new there . While McCall is very tempting let’s not forget his two best seasons with us were probably championed by the signing of LS . Who remarkably nobody on here has claimed was a fluke signing in the same way Dipo was . Thistle gambled on a rookie in Doolan , Rover took a chance on a guy in Murray that failed to get Airdrie up via the play offs . Both proved good choices . It’s pretty much in the lap of the Gods . -

Good to see a few coming down , come into the Hub for a pint before the game . Plenty of ordinary Ayr fans in there and be glad to see you all . -

How many Fifers will make the trip ? Also why did Thomson pack in his job with you guys ? -

Your and others are taking the coals . It’s over , it’s done . We either move on together as a club and stop (help) the rot and drive it forward together as a support , like we used to do . Or we allow this to devise us for ever , potentially driving some away … -

Bullen ran out of runway , the one win in 11 does for any manager . The man was one missed penalty away from Hampden and a good window at Christmas away from a right crack at the title . That was all last season, so thanks for that Lee . This season , sitting 9th in January was too far in the wrong direction . Back to your family in England and take a good break . For some of the turnips on here , some I’d guess are young some not so , time to have a look in the mirror at your own performance over the last 12 months or so . A new guy will be here soon , some will be pleased with him some won’t . Hopefully the “won’ts” will give him a break and back the guy all the way until he either leaves for a better job or the one in eleven returns. We’re in a dog fight for our championship survival , time to bury the hatchet, stop the Bullen , Mathie , Smith narrative and back the team , coach , MD and owner all the way to May . Never out the fight ! -

Maybe our next head coach is currently down south looking at training methods and techniques at Premiership clubs like Brighton & Brentford ? A move like that would have Graeme Mathie’s fingerprints all over it . Just a thought ! -

O’Reilly has one more game for Rovers under his current contract . So maybe after Saturday. However you’d imagine Rovers have first dibs on him . -

I think when the north stand is completed they’ll have the option of moving the Hub offices over there , which would free up space to extend the bar floor space . That’s assuming we’re not playing in front on 100 punters in the south of Scotland league . Joking !!
