  1. Really looking forward to today’s game. I’m excited to get down for my usual pie and coffee, those steak pies are the best in the league! Big decision for Kevin today on team selection. I’m sure he will get it right
  2. Great start to the season, not a draw in sight... It's going to be a fine season , looking at the First Division Oakley and Vale are without a point so they were clearly never Premier League capable. Dunbar look to have come up strong and Musselburgh look to have carried on as they ended. Dundonald also looking quite strong (Dunbar result aside). Sauchie? What's happened - I know it's early days but them and Musselburgh must have been bookies favourites?
  3. Probably, but interesting none the less! Results so far have been great, how are the team playing this year? I'm looking forward to the East Lothian derby against Musselburgh, albeit Haddington have also made a good start.
  4. Great result and a good Dunbar performance, albeit a friendly good for the confidence. More than a few boo's for Tranent man Cammy Dawson when he smashed home the goal to put Dunbar 2-1 up! The big man took it in his stride, the most laid back 6'6" guy in Scottish Football!
  5. , exactly! Wonder how they got it, they have best amount the best run clubs in the EoS for several years now - hence they have money... it's not like they have opened an Opium farm or started gun running!
  6. Bo'ness Athletic have played more games (also winning them all) and scored a LOT more goals... but given the current home record for Dunbar is played 10, won 10 at home I think it will be a long time since they've been in such form.
  7. Seems a lot of the media guys are the same, the guy at Tranent has been at just about every other club in the region.
  8. A hard watch today. No consistency this season at all.
  9. Agreed, no prizes first week in January. Come March I think they can begin to be comfy they are going back to the PL if they sustain this form.
  10. I think the facts are that that the club has a far bigger average gate than everyone else in the first division, so you would expect that comes with its own benefits in terms of budgets. Only a few Premier League clubs are ahead of Dunbar on average gates these days - it’s a credit to how far they have come in recent years.
  11. There in lies the challenge, keeping two first class keepers! Albeit I see Dowie started recently. Was Sean on holiday?
  12. Another disappointing result for Camelon. Hopefully back to the Premier League soon, but with Syngenta, Bo'ness and others all on their way up the leagues it will get harder and harder every season.
  13. Calum Elliot? Not sure we could attract him but if we offer him as much as Errol Douglas I'm sure it would be considered...
  14. When does the transfer window shut at this level? I wonder if we will see some late business between now and (I think) March that throws a cat among the pigeons.
  15. Exciting times. When does the transfer window close? Is it March at this level? I wonder if there will be any late transfer business that throws a cat amount the pigeons I'd expect some of the Dunbar players will be wanted elsewhere and no doubt Kevin Haynes will have his eye on a few additions as well. I hope the lads can keep this going and get back up alongside Haddington and Musselburgh in the Premier next season... hopefully joined by Nitten as they are too big a side for this league.
  16. Sorry to read this. Best of luck Jack Lynch for a speedy return.
  17. Great signing from the manager there, looks to be the best keeper at Dunbar United for many a year...
  18. I see tomorrow's game is off, on the plus side the Seasiders lead is unassailable for now at least! What a season they are having well done to the club for doing what every club that down wanted to do, put themselves in a very strong position to bounce back. Meanwhile other clubs who were in the early race are drifting off to the mid table positions... From what I've seen the infrastructure and squad are now in place to have a real tilt at the Premier League next season and not be the cannon fodder they were for the previous three years.
  19. I’d agree it’s really exciting , especially as we are only a little less than half way through! There will be twists and turns , and injuries and loss of form etc. A very close League and great to watch!
  20. The future looks much brighter at Nitten just now. The club is looking well run again , and credit to the committee for sticking by Kingy who has added some good players to help mount a challenge to get back to the Premier League
  21. A sore one yesterday, and with Nitten and Dunbar both making strong starts it shows you that it’s not just a strong first division. From Lowland League to obscurity in record time.
  22. I think it’s a racing certainty unfortunately, I see the Highland League games are off.
  23. Crossgates ended last season strongly, and I have to say I fancy them to be around the top when May comes.
  24. Coldstream look to have picked up a couple of good results as Dunbar and Luncarty , you would expect, will be up near the top come May 2023. I agree regards the standards of grounds, it’s the same throughout all the EoS leagues. Not many to write home about….
