Good news to read McCall saying Docherty and Hastie should be back in contention for today’s game. We sorely missed Docherty last week in the middle of the park.

Much better performance needed after the Arbroath defeat. If we win this, we will have picked up 9 points out of the opening 4 games which I think a lot of fans would have been happy with. Aye but he left West Ham this summer, the list on this thread of signings usually says free transfer - from insert club name. So I was just mentioning his last club. I‘ve edited it though to clarify we haven’t bought him.

Thistle sign centre back Tunji Akinola from West Ham on a free transfer, signing a one year deal.

Does anyone know if we have a signing coming in soon? McCall mentioned something about a deal for a loan player being tied up soon and that was around last Thursday. Unsure of whether it is McDaid or someone else, but hopefully a winger and full back signed before Arbroath.

Elliott was mainly a solid player for us at right back and even filled in at left back on occasions. His final season for us at full back was realistically his worst while playing as a full back as he lost his confidence when he was captain and never fully recovered it, although did have an upturn in form towards the end of the campaign. And as already mentioned was a really nice guy.

Away fans return! Hopefully we keep up our good form and pick up the three points. I expect a tough game though.

A brilliant result away from home for us. We were impressive going forward, albeit helped by Dunfermline’s numerous errors at the back. The midfield and defensive coped well I thought and Stone was impressive today.

Pain wise, losing the play off final to Livingston resulting in our relegation and downwards spiral is hard to top. General thumping wise, losing 5-1 to Morton in 2018. Playing some of our worst football I have ever seen as a Thistle fan at this point in that season and this result summed us up at the time.

We played in our light blue away top in 2015/16 against Motherwell at home when they had a brown away top. You may be thinking of that.

Apparently we are linked with Kai Kennedy on loan from Rangers. Seems to be well regarded from his spells at ICT and Raith, I’d take him.
