  1. Again, the ref had a perfectly good view of the penalty incident and didn't give it. So either the ref is useless, well it is Clancy, or he's too frightened to overrule VAR. As for shirt pulling, holding by defenders, that happens every game outside of the penalty box, mostly, it's the striker getting fouled but referees rarely give a foul. What's the difference with the penalty then?
  2. Have just seen the penalty incident. Nick Walsh had a clear view of the incident and didn't deem it worthy of a foul. Indeed, he played on for a couple of minutes until VAR pulled him up. My question is then, what did he see on VAR that made him change his mind? In my opinion, nothing but refs are now shit scared to contradict the VAR referee due to the flak they will then get, despite making the correct call initially.
  3. Dreadful performance from Scotland and a wake up call for several players. It also shows the limos Clarke as a coach. Set up the team wrong, failed to change or adjust formation and substitions made far too late. Plays his favourites as well before giving others a fair crack of the whip.Mctominay isn't a forward despite the goals he scores and was totally wasted tonight. Lone striker totally isolated at all times and so obviously wasn't working. That Clarke was out maneuvered tactically by Southgate says it all really.
  4. And how many fans will spend that in the pub watching the game. £45 isn't too bad a price but it is the trave/accommodation costs which bump up the costs for ICT fans.
  5. Aye, the pressure not to upset the home support than to actually make the correct decision. Beaton should not have been anywhere near this fixture given his well known allegiances and how often he gets this fixture.
  6. One of the big issues for me is playing each other 4 times a season. It creates a staleness at times that doesn't help the football. I think reconstruction has to be looked at seriously, whether that is 16 or 18 is up for debate. To me that has the potential to make the league more competitive as teams only play the old firm twice so potentially less points dropped and more of a chance of the other teams taking points. Fewer games means less mid week games potentially which should help with costs for clubs. No solution is perfect but we need to get away from the lazy rhetoric about dead rubbers being a reason for not seriously looking at reconstruction and some clubs need to look beyond the old firm dollar for the good of Scottish football.
  7. Even by your low standards, that's absolute fecking nonsense. Not saying he hasn't been poor recently but your comment is ridiculous.
  8. Collum has made more high profile refereeing errors than any other referee yet the SFA still obviously rate him as a referee. Astonishing really but this just shows how, even with VAR how poor our refs are.
  9. For what its worth, I think Collum thought Clark's tackle was a red card and asked VAR to confirm, which they obviously did. Same with Jack's tackle, VAR thought it was a red card but clown Collum didn't. Both were poor refereeing decisions. Collum is a dreadful referee and given that Nick Walsh was the VAR ref, not exactly a winning combination of good referees.
  10. Time to maybe stop moaning so much then and actually get behind the team by attending the game.
  11. That banner just about sums up the mentality of some Celtic fans. If they feel like that, why don't they GTF out of Scottish football instead of being a total embarrassment. The Old Firm are truly an embarrassment to Scotland.
  12. Strange how they can sanction Ross County and Aberdeen players but not a peep from the compliance officer on the incident in the Sevco County match with the Sevco defender.
  13. Game had 0-0 written all over it until that a abomination of a referee gave that penalty. Quite what Duffy was meant to do with his hand when the ball was headed against him, I simply do not know. Every tackle we made either ended in a foul and or caution while Moreton fouled/dived and generally fell down when it suited them. Game totally spoilt by this p***k of a ref. We badly need some steel in the team to stop cheating wee ****s conning the ref.
  14. And the game covered is........ Sevco vs Ross County. They really couldn't make their utter contempt for Scottish football any plainer. They really are on a par with Sky now.
  15. Inverness or Caley Thistle but definitely not The Caley. This from a supposed ICT fan. If you want to support Caley, find another team.
  16. For shots to count, they really needed to be on target and most of yours were not. For all your dominance, few clear cut chances created, still think you lack a consisted goal scorer which we do have so its all set up for Monday.
  17. While St. Johnstone were the better team for 60 odd minutes, other than the 2 goals, Ridgers had only 2 saves to make. They really didn't create many really clear cut chances so don't buy into the scenario that they battered ICT. One of the reasons you dominated was because Dodds totally got his tactics wrong in the first half and seemed incapable of changing things. He gambled at half time and the subs made a difference but it really was when Allardyce came on that the game really changed as we started to dictate the midfield. I think ICT can still go up a gear, can St Johnstone though. Your big problem is creating genuine chances and I can't see that changing.
  18. I have in the back of my mind that the 3 man appeals panel must reach a unanimous decision to overrule the sending off, does anyone know if that is the case?. My issue with the sending off is the actual position of the referee. He was in the Arbroath half when the incident occurred so there is no way he could be a 100% certain a clear goalscoring opportunity was denied or that a 100% that a clear foul had been committed. If he had given a foul, then perhaps everyone could have lived with that but a sending off..... Secondly, the lineman did not raise his flag at all, he did on several other occasions throughout the match, so he doesn't appear to think there was a foul. Even if Collum had gone to speak to him, and I know they are miked up, it may have helped but Collum had the red card out straight away. As I have said, there is absolutely no way he could be a 100% certain on this but from the outset didn't think the panel would have the balls to overturn this decision. If a similar situation happens in the cup final on Saturday, and Collum doesn't send off the defender, it should come as no surprise.
  19. Absolute nonsense. We certainly didn't play well last night but the wind, in the first half contributed to that for us. Poor play from us to keep punting high balls up to Samuel as they just came straight back at us. Second half we were much better with Mckay on and until the sending off, I think we were starting to get control of the game. Going down to 10 men, then 9 for a while obviously dictated how we played but it says more about Arbroath silky soccer skills that you barely mustered a shot on target or forced a save from our keeper even with a 1/2 man advantage. Your luck ran out last night as it had to at some point and while we will most likely meet again next season, I do hope we beat you convincingly with eleven men.
  20. My problem is that Collum couldn't possibly have seen that from where he was positioned. Your player wasn't past the defender as both were falling and there is no way he would have got the ball even if he had stayed on his feet, difficult for Arbroath players I know. Irrelevant now as Arbroath were found out for what they were all season, a one trick pony with no ability to play differently.
  21. Only one team played anti football over the two legs and it wasn't ICT. Remember Arbroath trying to get McAlear sent off in the first leg when your player wasn't even touched by him
  22. Even if they did communicate, surely it still would have made sense to go over and speak to the linesman, if for no other reason it would have diffused the situation perhaps. I genuinely don't think they did communicate however as the linesman never flagged at all over the incident and was still running towards the corner flag. Collum guessed at his decision and got it badly wrong.
  23. I don't think the sendings off can be defended at all. Collum was still in the Arbroath half for the first one so how could he be a 100%sure it was a sending off. Linesman was still running towards the corner flag and wasn't raising his flag for a foul yey was much closer to the incident. Collum guessed this decision, pure and simple which is unacceptable. For the second sending off, Collum has a perfect view of the incident, doesn't blow for a foul immediately and then decides, on the Arbroath player's reaction, not for the first time, to blow for a foul, book Duffy and send him off. Duffy clearly got the ball and didn't foul Linn. Michael Stewart was spot on in his reaction. Would Collum have made the same decisions in an old firm game, off course not.
  24. Michael Stewart's reaction to the Duffy red card was just hysterical over the top pish.
  25. You need to face facts to Sophia. It was obvious that the system we were playing, with two wide men, wasn't working but Dodds didn't change the system. He changes it against Arbroath and we win and are still undefeated since we made the change. Now if only the manager had made the change sooner...
