He has always said that the only team he would leave us for is Rangers and I believe him.

I don't believe these rumours at all. Pure wind-up. He is ending his career with us and I am sure he will come out and say this if asked directly.

Alan Johnston has had to build a squad from scratch and has only been in post a few months. To give him a chance the board need to let him identify the players he wants for next season and offer them new contracts now so that he has the chance to build a team for next season.
