  1. Can't wait when they do another feature on Dobbie and call him Steven Dobbie just to GIRU Monkey Tennis.
  2. Buckie would probably want to go up, just so they can have their four annual derbies with Elgin. Brechin are really not going to enjoy the Highland League.
  3. Borefest. Bring on 2021. Let's ditch Abu Dhabi aye?
  4. The two Uni teams playing a derby right at a time when the students will be away doesn't exactly seem smart.
  5. More importantly why is a vendor in some Turkish bazaar making knock-off St Johnstone tops. I mean I get knock-off football tops, but why St Johnstone. Does he have a whole selection of kits from diddy Scottish teams. Will we see a similar Livi top?
  6. Would love for them to have it on iPlayer for 28 days for Season 3 - maybe they might need to get the SPFL to sign off for that? Caught up with this today. Aztec Camera were a class choice for the opening sequence. Marvin Bartley was golden, defo needs to come back on for season 3. Loved him going in at Borthwick. Arbroath deserved team of the year, Glasgow City and Celtic do what they're expected to do. Good to see them talk about the pyramid and advocate for automatic relegation. Chris McQueer's story was worst than the last one, but I still thought it was okay. Nowhere near as bad as folk on here say. Kids were class, as per usual. Fowler gets a bit of stick for being a stubborn, miserable p***k. However, I think he brings it all together, he takes the other 3 to task and keeps them firmly planted on the ground. If anyone reads the Newsletter email, it's absolutely hilarious. Joel getting recognised in the Guggenheim sounds very surreal. Pun Intended.
  7. I travelled up from Aberdeen for the game, was surprised it was on considering all the SPFL matches that fell victim to the weather. Was even more surprised when I walked past Colony Park's pitch next door which was 40% white. Arrived at the ground only to be told it was postponed 20mins before kick-off. Pretty poor show from Locos. The fact the official club account tweeted game on at 9:30 this morning was ridiculous. Feel really bad for Fort to travel 7hrs round trip, just to be told match off. That can't have been cheap. It was clear that the game was never going to be on.
  8. What was the issue with Maryhill, given they seem to be really struggling at the minute some extra rent income would do them nicely?
  9. News that surprised absolutely no one. Seen this on reddit the other day
  10. Inspired by the Eurosport show, this will be a thread full of highlights from the European leagues. Similar to Other Football Leagues but dedicated to the highlights from any and every league that doesn't have it on own thread: Austrian Bundesliga Swiss Super League Danish Superliga Polish Ekstaklasa Belgium Juplier League
  11. Tbf anyone can beat Dundee On this debate of size of club, Arbroath are currently a larger club than Cove no question - having seen both this season. Although its clear that Cove have intentions and realistic ambition to be larger than Arbroath in the next 5-10 years. It looks like they may will be, size of home support is similar, Cove have larger catchment and oil money helping them.
  12. Tempted to go see Niteworks at the Lemontree in Aberdeen on Saturday night.
  13. What's the deal for live TV this season? On the Eredivisie official website they have no live broadcaster for the UK listed. https://eredivisie.nl/en-us/Broadcasters-map However, Premier Sports claims to be the broadcaster, yet I haven't seen them broadcast one live match this season on either of their channels or Freesports (which has a pretty barren schedule in itself). Although, they have shown one or two full match replays.
  14. Rudan is toil leinn fhaicinn Translate?
  15. Realistically, the smart thing for the SFA to do is that they bring in an Entry Plus Standard which requires seating etc and would be the minimum for SPFL2 and is required within 3 seasons for HL and LL. It raises standards but it also doesn't financially burden smaller clubs with never-ending infrastructure costs.
  16. I'm a big advocate for making the second tier 14 clubs (39 game season), this would be to ensure that all full-time clubs are more likely to stay in the division and it may give sides such as Morton, Raith etc more security in remaining a full-time side, and it could allow the likes of Alloa and possibly Cove in future to become Full-Time. It also would provide the SPFL with four extra clubs, which could really add to the leagues. Inverurie, Buckie, Bonnyrigg and Kelty for example.
  17. This. Lawrence Shankland >>>>>> Oli McBurnie
  18. Teams were also running at £2m a season losses. That's before my time so I can't really vouch for how good the league was then, but the OP was suggesting that this season was the worst ever, which is quite frankly bull. Also worth noting there was only 10 teams in the Premier Division back then, so of course the quality of the second tier would be better.
  19. Think this has 7.05pm BBC Scotland Friday Night written all over it. Can't wait to boo Scott Allan for 90 minutes.
  20. Completely unrelated but Australia once lost a war to emus.
  21. I keep on getting ads for random shit as well, then I decided to stop using Facebook. f**k Mark Zuckerberg. f**k that guy. He's a c**t.
  22. This. I don't think anyone in this thread (me included) has gone and watched a full 90 minute replay from the "glory period" of the First Division. Part of the reason the second tier may be declining, is of course down to the increased professionalism of part-time sides, the increasing ability of non-league sides and finally the anomaly of having Rangers, Hibs, Hearts in the division. I could point to many seasons for instance 2010-11, 11-12 etc. where the First Division was just a turgid as it is now. However, I would point out that the Scottish Championship is probably in the top 10 second tiers in Europe. In terms of crowds, only Germany, England, France, Spain, Italy have consistently higher attendances. Russia and the Netherlands have similar crowds.
  23. Heading to Inverurie Locos vs Broxburn this afternoon, looks like it'll be interesting. Magic of the Cup
