£200M 25 Man Scotland Squad
Ray Patterson replied to craig.graham.anderson's topic in Tartan Army Ramblings
Turnbull as well for £1.6m. He'd already been subject to a £3.25m bid. Transfermarkt also says Adrian Spórle is worth £900,000. So that tells you all you need to know. -
With the greatest respect to you Andy, I don't think that's accurate, the teams in the WoS Superleague/Premier Division/Premiership (delete as appropriate) would be comfortable in the English Step 2/3 (tier 6/7) at worst. Kelty Hearts played Solihull Moors recently in the Tunnock Caramel Wafer CupTM, both fielding their best XI whilst both heading their respective Tier 5 leagues. Kelty were very unfortunate not to win the game (0-0 draw and Solihull won on pens), that same Kelty side were completely outclassed by Auchinleck Talbot now of the WoS a few weeks prior in the live BBC Scottish Cup tie. I'm sure there will be a WoS Groundhop for you to come to sometime next season to judge for yourself.

Although I would argue that Vale of Leithen (or Fort) who would be club 79 would probably put a cricket score on Dunkirk FC of the East Midlands Counties League.

Can I download any apps to my Roku Express to get some football (when it comes back?)
-
Will they be calling it The Den? Because, you know that's where Foxes live.
-
Broughty Athletic are the only club who would be near licensing, and then that's only if you got the Tayside League on board.
-
This may be controversial but a 20 team league, could just play 19 games, and maybe add a WoS Premier League Cup there as well. The way life is going atm there may only be time for 19 league games next season in any case. Also is @juniorjunior that JuniorFitbaSC off twitter, honestly embarrassing reading his posts in this thread.

Threave may also go up, as SOS League winners.

Double Winning St Johnstone FC Thread
Ray Patterson replied to Kyle's topic in Scottish Premiership General Chatter
He's been on his way out for quite a while, which is fair enough, as there's not much more he can do with Saints as they have a dwindling budget relatively and the boardroom stuff has came to light. -
The JPP is the problem. Why couldn't the WOS do their own Disciplinary Procedure for one season and then the once there was a 16 or 18 side WoS Premier then they could join the JPP for Season 2021-22? or is that too much common sense.

This. I don't mean to sound like a dick but League One and Two clubs should be grateful with what they're currently getting. The final winners of the First Division in 2012-13 received £69,500 in Prize Money. United this season are going to receive approximately £600,000. Next season that figure (assuming no reconstruction) was due to be nearing £750,000. The big issue with Prize Monies, relates to the fact that one club (Celtic) receives 13.25% of all SPFL Prize Money, which 4% more (over £1m) than the second placed club. In percentage terms it's the biggest gulf in prize money of any European league between 1st and 2nd. If they brought that figure down to around 10% then that would find a lot of the money to bring in two new clubs to League Two and be able to raise the 13th and 14th placed clubs' earnings significantly (should the Prem expand) . However, no way will Celtic (or Rangers) ever vote for that. Having just listened to the pod, I can totally understand why Mozza doesn't go all Paxman on him, Scottish football is a small place and there's no real reason to piss off Chairman for a soundbite. But I echo all the criticisms above about him not really answering questions.

The SPFL recommendation?

Sorry the iFollow service that EFL clubs only consists of one camera. So there isn't even need for that. Also I think Sky Produce all their own stuff in-house. -
New clubs in the East of Scotland
Ray Patterson replied to Moses McNeil's topic in East of Scotland Football League
I feel bad for Livingston especially with the news of their committee member, however, the ERSJFA and EoS have every right to act in the way that they did the Rump Juniors have to plan for a season and can't do that if teams decide to leave in May and June, and the EoS has to conform with their own Constitution. It easily as well paints a "poaching clubs" narrative for the Juniors to throw at the EoS, if they were accepted well after the deadline. I'm sure we'll see them in the EoS in 2021-22 season. -
Great teams that won nothing
Ray Patterson replied to Carl Cort's Hamstring's topic in Misc Other Fitba Chat
Well United did lose that final, or Saints won it. They both mean the same thing. The 4-2-3-1 that JMac insisted on playing clearly didn't work against St Johnstone, as it was found out the 3 previous times as you say. It's just frustration as we had the better Starting XI and their output was less than the sum of their parts in that Final. -
The issue is there'll be some teams in a 17 team division next season with 34 gameweeks, plus the SCC and possibly a WoS Cup and possibly Scottish Cup for Girvan, (BOD) and Talbot. I just can't see them fitting these games in as is. So I think there's an argument for the Junior Cup to take a year out next season with everything that's going on. It can come back in '21-22, maybe slightly revamped as a big Tier 6 and below cup. I know it won't be particularly popular, but it's probably the sensible thing to do.

Floodlights are now a requirement for an SFA Club License, which itself is a requirement to play in Tier 5 and above. Floodlights are not required for Tier 6 - WoS, EoS or SoS - but a small amount of funding is available to clubs £2,500 IIRC in order to improve facilities to gain a License which also provides a club with SFA membership and an automatic Scottish Cup Berth.
-
Tbf all of those clubs were playing in a West-wide league with the exception of Glasgow Uni and St Cadocs - and they knew what they're signing up to. There's no need to sub-regionalise, especially since the largest travelling distance is going to be about 1hr 25m (Kilsyth to Girvan).

I'm still raging that we never won the Scottish Cup in 2014, or the League Cup in 2015. Both games we were set up completely wrong. Would also add Steve Clarke's Killie to mix.- 67 replies

Love it how there's two supporters of the motion, Campbell and Scott Benton MP for Blackpool South. Neither are Scottish. What a fucking waste of Parliamentary time. -

He introduced a motion into the HoC asking for an independent investigation. I'm sure @Ad Lib could clear up what that actually means. But he effectively thinks instead of dealing on the matter at hand he'll talk about Rangers in the HoC when time is tight. I bet the Speaker was royally cheesed off. -

Gregory Campbell, an excerpt from his wiki: "That same year, in an extensive interview with Magill magazine, Campbell outlined his opposition to homosexuality, telling journalist Fintan O'Toole: "It's an evil, wicked, abhorrent practice. My opposition to that is based on the Bible and also based on natural justice and I know many people who do not share my Protestant faith but who would share my opposition to homosexuality because they believe it is something which would corrupt society as a whole and is something so radically awful as to merit total and utter opposition. You're not even talking about something which is a run of the mill sexual practice but something which is totally and utterly depraved, and to me anyway the AIDS scare which is currently running through America is proof that homosexual practice is something which calls upon the curse of God." What a c**t. -
