  1. Quite an enjoyable 45 that, very end to end. Celtic seem to leak goals against Rangers - Bain really should have stopped that second goal. Thought the referee has had a very good game so far.
  2. I think STV may show the Croatia game. In Euro 2016 the same thing happened with England and Wales, and Wales' match was on ITV in Wales and ITV4, whilst England's game was on ITV in England (and STV) as well as ITV3. Wouldn't be surprised if the same happens here.
  3. The teamline graphics along the bottom whilst the highlights are on, are incredibly lazy and tinpot. Really frustrating to watch.
  4. Ross County thoroughly deserved that, good to see we're committed in our efforts to keep the Mallard in the League. Not to go all RandomGuy here but United's xG was only 0.14 - one of the lowest of the entire season. Our front three were missing today - but suppose we're focusing on the Cup next week, for that much improvement is needed.
  5. Agree with this, think they are second favourites but they have been playing - something Kelty and Brora haven't been doing and they have some quality on the pitch in Osman and Barr, albeit both getting on a bit now.
  6. "Oh look at me I know how the ignore function works" Take a break, mate.
  7. What @Les Cabbage said but try using codes SALE and LALIGA699 at checkout and it gives you a month at £6.99, which is not bad value for money imo, as you get the Eredivisie, La Liga and Serie A with it as well.
  8. Even worse, Peter Martin went on and then blocked people that pointed out he was wrong.
  9. Because that's the deal they signed. I think when they first started doing the ALBA games years ago, BT Vision had the same deal with the SPL at the time to show one of the Old Firm at home in a full delayed format on demand from 7pm on Saturday. So ALBA's rights were for games not-involving the Old Firm, and I think that deal has just been continued ever since. It's a win for ALBA as they get more viewers than normal with football and it's a win for the SPFL as it's more money in the Prize Fund and ALBA produce the "world feed" to go to Sportscene for highlights and possibly be broadcast internationally/Club TV.
  10. Tbf BBC Scotland are paying a lot of money for Scottish Football and can't really justify showing any more - esp. given the pressure they are under to cut costs. Ideally, you'd want STV to pick up some secondary live rights - but the higher-ups at the channel aren't interested in Sport. Which leaves the likes of Premier - who seem to be happy with the rights they already have.
  11. Discovery bought Eurosport recently, not Amazon.
  12. It's been said numerous times that the ML will cover DD postcodes such as Tayport - so if you can be please just stop it, that would be grand.
  13. Tbf the original deal already had them covering the competition to 2024-25, so it's just an extension by two years and them covering the title sponsorship - probably for a cut-rate given the sponsorship market has taken a massive hit in the last year. I would hope that they would show some games free-to-air on Freesports or maybe sublicense highlights to the BBC. Personally, think the addition of a Day-Pass for £6.99 would get them bringing in a lot more revenue - but each to their own I suppose.
  14. The SWPL Highlights Show got higher viewing figures than Sunday or Saturday Sportscene last week, so one of the biggest games of the season that's live on BBC ALBA deserves to be prominently displayed/previewed.
  15. They produce a 15-minute highlights show - that gets used by International broadcasters. It's pretty basic especially compared what the Eredivisie and LigaNOS have.
  16. Also been showing "Classic Old Firms" from yesteryear in both the League Cup and Scottish Cup. Funnily enough in the week before the Betfred Cup final they couldn't find time to show Livi's 2004 triumph or St Johnstone's Scottish Cup win in 2014.
  17. Okay might as well go for it then: Bookmark for when half of this squad doesn't get picked. Goalkeepers (3) David Marshall - Derby County Craig Gordon - Heart of Midlothian Liam Kelly - Motherwell (on loan from QPR) Defenders (9) Andy Robertson (C) - Liverpool Kieran Tierney - Arsenal Grant Hanley - Norwich City Declan Gallagher - Motherwell Liam Cooper - Leeds United Scott McTominay - Manchester United Scott McKenna - Nottingham Forest Stephen O'Donnell - Motherwell Andy Considine - Aberdeen Liam Palmer - Sheffield Wednesday Midfielders (8) John McGinn - Aston Villa Callum McGregor - Celtic Stuart Armstrong - Southampton Ryan Gauld - Farense David Turnbull - Celtic Ryan Christie - Celtic Kenny McLean - Norwich City John Fleck - Sheffield United Forwards (6) Ryan Fraser - Newcastle Ché Adams - Southampton Lyndon Dykes - QPR Kevin Nisbet - Hibees Lawrence Shankland - Dundee United James Forrest - Celtic
