  1. Stephen McGowan of the Daily Mail, who's quite up to date on the SPFL's rules suggested that plastic pitches is 9-3 vote, as it's a rule change as opposed to an Amendment to the Articles of Association - which would be 11-1
  2. A lot of people are trying to spin this as good news, when in reality it was a contractual obligation on Premier/Viaplay to show three matches free-to-air between 2022 and 2024. ITV4 showed the Ukraine NL match and obviously broadcasters were holding out for a potential playoff semi and final for the final two picks, which thankfully wasn't required. BBC Scotland must have got these games for practically nothing, and get some good PR out of it.
  3. Weird question but if Tayport or more likely Lochee United were to go up, would they still be eligible to compete in their current cup competitions such as the Interregional North-East Regional Cup
  4. The obvious solution for the EoS is to put LEAFA, Borders League and Kingdom Leagues officially underneath the Third Division, and allow clubs that win those leagues into the Third Division should they meet basic requirements and are willing to come up, with a view to eventually introducing relegation if/when the Third Division reaches capacity.
  5. Don't care too much either way. People who think banning plastic pitches will somehow make Scottish Football amazing are morons
  6. I just took the Transfermarkt "after 26 matchdays" table
  7. Officially, you can only listen to BBC shows while in the broadcast area (the UK). In totally unrelated news, VPN's such as Surfshark or NordVPN set to the UK can access streaming services, like say BBC iPlayer, Sounds or STV Player from wherever you are in the world.
  8. FTFY. I think if we go up, and that's a big if, then he's probably earned himself a go at the Premiership with us. The more immediate issue with Goodwin is that he's a bottler in the games that matter, it was the same with Aberdeen (Darvel, Hibs etc.), and in three games against Raith this season. I don't know how he can fix it, as it seems more a mentality issue than a tactical one. It should be said though, that most seasons having 52 points after 26 games would have you at least 5 clear of the second placed side - QP were four clear with 47 points at the same point last season, so Raith deserve a lot of credit.
  9. So the title race: Broughty are in control with a 14 point lead over Lochee United and a 23 point lead over North End. Lochee Utd would need to win their in-hand games and beat Broughty Athletic to get within touching distance. The next few weeks are crucial with Broughty playing against Downfield, Panmure and East Craigie before the de facto title decider at the Quest on the 27th, while Lochee only have North End of sides in the top half - who still are in the title race, just but still have 15 games to play!
  10. Nah the old system had serious issues and couldn't take payments properly. We had issues several times with both Visa and Mastercard on the old system. What they should have done though, was test this out for the Women's Nations League before going all-in on the ST Member Sales with 38,000 members trying to log-in at once.
  11. It will be us vs Thistle on the final day that the BBC will show
  12. Most of these I've only been once, but NDP and Raith I've been to three times and still not seen us win. Celtic Park Tulloch Caledonian Stadium The Rock Cappielow New Douglas Park Starks Park Ainslie Park Station Park
  13. By mid April it's you can play until 8:30pm without lights so they could fit a couple of games in as 6:30 or possibly even 6:45pm kickoffs at a push. Might need to play Monday/Wednesday though as all four clubs play on the 13th. Looking at the weeks left currently they only have the following free: Wed 12 Mar - potential East Craigie (H) Wed 19 Mar Wed 2 Apr Wed 9 Apr - potential away game 6:30pm ko Sat 13 Apr - all four clubs unavailable Wed 16 Apr - potential away game 6:30pm ko Sat 20 Apr - potential away game Not knowing the playoff dates makes it tricky, but given they were 23 & 30 April in 2022, I'd assume they could be as late as 27 Apr and 4 May this season - although I see the HL is set to finish on 13 Apr - which might take the 20th off the table. Still better than last season when Panmure won the League title on the 27th May!
  14. I don't mind the song selections or the fan involvement - as it tends to be fans that know what they're on about rather than SSB mouth breathers that phone in to Clyde 1. The issue is the way KMac manages it, they'll pick a narrative at 2:20 and run with it all the through OAM (albeit not this weekend), and quite often has nothing to do with the games that are on, and gets in the way of the reporters trying to make updates, and they'll continue to carry that through til 7pm. I think Michael Stewart can be a good pundit, but when it comes to Levein, he loses all objectivity - it quickly descends into something you'd expect to see from Kris Boyd on Sky. Loy occasionally comes away with some nonsense, but he does seem like a decent pundit, would like to seem him more often on Friday night games.
  15. Why were the Lochee and North End games off today? It's looking increasingly tricky for Lochee United to get the season finished in time for a potential Play-off.
  16. I think the current format is fine - the only difference is that you'd want more access for non-league clubs. Maybe a couple of extra preliminary rounds for non-licenced teams in the sixth tier?
  17. Cove is colder than the depths of hell and in an industrial estate miles from anywhere. But apart from all that...
  18. Banks O'Dee is like a much better Cove in terms of an away day. It's just about walking distance from the Train Station - ground itself is okay, a bit small, but fine.
  19. "That's a good football goal" as opposed to what a bad hockey goal?
  20. There was at least two based on the social media clips they posted.
