  1. Great win today. Badly needed it to stop the losing run. Delighted with the 3 points.
  2. Huge game today. Could go either way. Would probably be happy with a draw but would be great to nick it. Looking forward to watching the live stream.
  3. Brilliant news on Bronsky re-signing. Our squad is now looking pretty strong considering the circumstances. A lot of clubs will almost be starting from scratch, hopefully our squad being so familiar will lead to a strong start in what is a much shorter season than usual.
  4. Agreed. I think somebody must have let the club know that the previous coverage wasn't up too scratch. It has certainly changed for the better massively over the past 6 months.
  5. The Colts suggestion thrown out. Final vote to be in by next Monday is for 14/10/10/10 with no relegation and Brora and Kelty coming into our league. Can't see that getting enough support either tbh.
  6. Brilliant news for Elgin City and the whole community. Was held up for far too long by the council but the team did brilliantly to get it over the line.
  7. He actually comes across pretty well. The work that man puts in certainly cannot be called into question.
  8. I am totally against it aswell. Takes away the competitive element in the league for me. Would the colts teams be allowed to be promoted if they won the league in the proposal?
  9. How long do we think before Shane Sutherland is back for a 5th spell at BB on loan? Before or after we are allowed crowds back at the games[emoji6]
  10. I think this might just be the 1st batch of contracts running out. I seen somewhere that for some reason most contracts for players in scotland either run out on June 1st or June 30th. So we could well see the rest of the out of contract boys appearing on that available list at the end of the month.
  11. I'm seeing the Northern Scot are reporting that now aswell. On top of losing Shane this just hits home how hard it is going to be when football resumes. They won't be the last either.
  12. What do we think is going to happen with next season. Just heard on radio scotland podcast there that Tatters backs the Mothballing the season option. Surely in a few months time there will be limited numbers allowed into football matches.
  13. Did the Young lad Ashley Ballan not sign a 2 year deal then go right to Huntly on loan?[emoji848]
  14. Not convinced Zidane would have moved Russell McKay out of the starting line up in his pomp[emoji6]
  15. How's that? A lot of backing for the proposal?[emoji848]
  16. Was interesting to listen to Tatters speaking on the radio at the weekend. Can't really see the 14-14-14 proposal getting much backing in the higher leagues. I really don't see how any of the lower league teams are going to be able to sign any players at all if there is no one going to be allowed in through the gates, no income at all. Maybe the players will need to sign amateur forms and just take the hit and play for nothing for a few months until the vaccine allows proper crowds to come back.
  17. I think the board of the reconstruction committee being led by Anne Budge tells us all what exactly is going to happen. There will be no relegation.
  18. I believe the plan is no relegation. Stranraer would stay up aswell. As would Partick and Hearts.
  19. Elgin confirmed as finishing 3rd in league 2 after today's final SPFL vote. Decent achievement I suppose but doesn't have any real sense of achievement given the fact play offs are scrapped for the season. If there is league construction as rumoured looks like Edinburgh will also go up and Kelty and Brora will join the league. Thoughts on that?
  20. Aye I would say a big positive to come from this would be league construction if it happened. IMO it would be a huge shot in the arm for the whole country to not be playing the same teams 4 times a season. But as you say all this talk is pretty irrelevant with what is happening right now.
  21. After the SPFL vote today it looks like the league is finished now with the average points rule being used. Cove to go up and Brechin to stay in the league and the play off abolished. There was probably no right and wrong in this situstion. But seems like a kick in the teeth for us given the momentum we were building.
  22. All Elgin players and non playing staff have taken a 67% pay cut to try and get us to survive the next few months. Good on them, hopefully that is enough for us to keep going. If this goes on longer can see us losing all our players at the very best and I dread to think the worst case scenario
  23. Aye I just seen that. Very concerning. I would like to think our fan base will rally round and raise the money and hopefully that is enough. Seen that the Grants from the SFA for next season have been partly paid early to help out aswell.
