  1. Still a couple of cheating c**ts
  2. This is literally the 1st rugby I have watched since that France game
  3. Italian boy got himself into trouble there
  4. That's who I meant, must pay more attention! Coyotes are now allowed to 'bid' on the land, another 3-5 years in limbo. You can tell the players are already fed up with it already, I can sense yet another tear-down before things get better. In happier news, Mon the Sabres! Would be brilliant if they sneaked into the playoff, UPL and Byrom getting a chance to shine
  5. The same clubs that voted to add Threave to a league that already had Campbeltown in it? If they wanted the Junior style, they wouldn't have allowed this surely
  6. There still should always be a space for them to join whenever they (just using Annbank as an example) are ready and meet ALL requirements
  7. At the end of the day, it was the WoS that were quite happy to accept half arsed applications from teams without their own facilities and with no intention to grow their clubs within their own area. Basically just using a name for recognition but only interested in pumping money into player wages rather than growing the club. They were happy to accept applications from the SoS region. Now they are closing the door using the “volunteers” excuse for not being able to functionally run the league properly. As the bottom wrung of the system, there should ALWAYS be space for new, well organised applications from their own catchment area to join the league at any time. If they didn’t rush to fill the league with teams that have absolutely no grounding or foundations, then they would not be in the position of having to turn down good clubs like Annbank if they wanting back in next season. Every other league in this system always allow applicants to join for the next season if they are ready to go (suitable ground to play), only the West Region is different
  8. How my season has ended... Have to say my heart is leading me to Dallas for the rest of the season. I loved the Avs when I was young (Sakic, Forsberg, Roy, etc), but they were always at the top and I get bored easy, so picked myself a diddy team when I grew up! It'll be worth it when we win a cup though
  9. Do you ever watch the DNVR coverage on YouTube? It's the same company that do PHNX for the Coyotes. Cant remember the guy's name but they got an old goalie on that's always worth a listen.
  10. Yeah it was a bit tongue in cheek, I know Byrom was a bit wasted at the Avs and needed a fresh start. It's a dangerous move but I hope it works out for him. I'm completely on the fence on Middlestadt. Everyone you hear says the complete opposite about him, he'll either be a superstar or he's already maxed out. He fills a gap though, not as good as Kerfy (or Bjugstad) would have filled it but I think the Coyotes were asking for 30% of Denver for him!
  11. Arthurlie 2-3 Troon Largs Thistle 3-1 Gartcairn Kilwinning Rangers 1-0 Ashfield St. Anthony’s 0-2 Maryhill Irvine Victoria 0-2 Lesmahagow Juniors BSC Glasgow 1-4 Thorn Athletic
  12. The amateur leagues in the WoS area should be split into regions. Ayrshire, East and West, draw a line roughly up the Clyde to Rutherglen and go straight up. Then have some sort of playoff to decide the overall champion. Anyone that wants to play Region wide (and commit to travelling all season!), should have an option to join the WoS at any point if they meet requirements and not just "promise" to meet requirements
  13. I wasn't sure about the size of the NHL and the amount of teams that are out the playoff run early, but now I get it! The trade deadline was epic, really enjoyed everything about it. It sets up some teams for the future and financial ruins others! Vegas get the shithouse award, splendid piece of cap-trolling by them Byrom > Middlestadt though, excuse my spelling
  14. The WoS taking on Threave from the SoS then closing the door to any new team in their actual area is a bit questionable. They are the only bottom step league in the country to stop taking new applications
  15. Yeah I think you are right. There are towns there that have previously, and probably could still have a small team, but a decent, functional amateur league will be their main priority. Having to work weekend shifts at the time killed it for a lot of people. The costs now, the general hassle (dealing with Edinburgh Leisure therefore not playing for months on end), there are lots of other things to do that are much less hassle. Referees not being looked after, or trained properly by the SFA The SAFA being invisible and not really doing much to improve their 'product'. Players only playing if they get paid in some way That's just what immediately springs to mind
  16. Kincardine incoming... I wonder if anyone in the Stirling league might see it as a better option to make an attempt at applying for the EoS, rather than joining LEAFA or KoF or whatever other amateur league? The travel might not be much more in EoS Div 3 than joining a west league. Players can still be amateur, just need a ground (easy...!)
  17. I don't think it's an issue in the East. There should definitely be a hard border between semi pro and amateur which the current application model was doing fine until the WoS decided to close their doors. Along with the state of the amateur leagues there I can see why they are trying something different, but I'm not convinced. I really don't think there is any need for change in the east, even the amateur leagues are all doing as well as can be expected under the circumstances
  18. It might be easier and cheaper to invent a whole new tourist industry around The Monster of Lochindorb than it would to get a ground in Inverness. Fair play to both teams if they make it work. 2 teams missing key ingredients the other one has, we can bitch about the name and "they play nowhere near Loch Ness" but to anyone who hasn't had an IV postcode they are near enough
  19. Back to ammys for diddies like this. Proper amateur league mentality
  20. Not when it mattered though, he was only in it for himself but was hiding when his team needed him. I had to go back and check, I'm notorious at getting names wrong. Got rightly destroyed in another chat for writing Osgood was backup for the Sens, genuinely thought I typed Sogaard but my brain had other ideas... Wasn't even close!
  21. Beith Juniors 2-1 Darvel Kirkintilloch Rob Roy 2-3 Glenafton Athletic Shorts Bon Accord 1-1 Petershill Kilsyth Rangers 2-2 Vale of Clyde Ardeer Thistle 1-3 Dalry Thistle Glenvale 2-0 Lugar Boswell Thistle
  22. Interesting to hear him say the game is more dangerous now than it was in the 90's because they have stopped the defenders being allowed to interfere as much. So now you have "humans missiles" getting a 200 foot run at your defence and you aren't even allowed to slow him down a bit coming into the zone. Rempe absolutely pasted the Toronto new guy to the boards TWICE and "hard man" (fraud) Reeves was on the ice both times and done nothing until the had a play flight later.
  23. 6'8 and a half now. He's grown a bit since his draft Nick Kyprios tells it well, he will know best on how to play that position/role. https://youtu.be/l0OujIQjniM?si=eTmLuRziOBd3HTKt
  24. The problem is that F1 have recently given 100's of kids with no journalism experience press passes. They have to fill up 300 tictok clips per day with mouth-paste, therefore we get flooded with this Lewis vs Max shite. There are plenty of interesting, insightful stories throughout the sport, but they don't don't have the intelligence to report them properly and their whole world revolves around 30 seconds of clickbait. Even P1 with Matt and Tommy is cringy pish now, when they use to be quite mature with their updates. My 1st F1 rant of the season!
