  2. Probably the two worst teams I have witnessed in the championship not for the lack of effort but no quality on show apart from Wilson for us and Rudden in my opinion. If I was a Thistle fan I would have been pissed off as I thought Queens rode their luck on a couple of occassions.Only plus point for me is Thistle actually paid money for some of the dross on show.Credit to both sets of fans who backed their teams throughout despite the lack of creativity, quality and spark.

If Arbroath went full time right now we would almost certainly have to make do with a squad of worse players than we currently have just to fulfil that ambition, IMO it shouldn’t even be considered right now.

Excellent comment some football supporters are obsessed with full time football.I really think Queens need to have a major look at our current set up currently in my opinion we are picking up the dross of players who wish to remain full time that no other clubs want.

  4. Once again two  goals conceded by terrible defending from Queens.Credit to Arbroath who thoroughly deserved the win although Gaston who I would take at a drop of a hat at Queen's had three excellent saves but Arbroath had several chances to go Futher ahead.

What I did notice in the tutties neuk speaking to several Arbroath fans plus the owner of the pub was the passion towards the football club and the importance of the football club to the local community.A great friendly bunch of supporters all the best for the rest of the season.

As for Queen's we look like a team on the way down.I didn't want Naismith sacked but don't rate AJ as a manager he has made several mistakes in recent games which have cost us dearly

    Well done all concerned.

I noticed that at the same time the sign got a tidy, that big Coffee Shop sign got dragged to a new resting place.  Are there plans for its removal, do you know?

We have been asking this for several weeks as well I think once the renovations are finished at that side of the arena it will then be moved and hopefully replaced.

I can report that the sign has been updated to carry details of our upcoming League Cup fixtures.

I solemnly confess however to having played no active part in the updating process.

Since taking over the running of the match day advertising sign at the start of last season we(SLO COMMITTEE) have had zero issues.Unfortunately due to staffing issues and annual leave the sign was updated slightly later than planned for the forthcoming Motherwell and Annan bet fred cup matches. However we will be back on track for the remainder of the season hopefully you will also have noticed that several volunteers cut back the branches which were causing an obstruction and cleaned and painted the sign. We also secured sponsorship of the sign and match day posters from the Queens trust which is a great help financially.

I would have kept Kyle Jacobs in a heartbeat. I think some people will realise what we're mssing a lot more when he isn't there. Yes, his passing wasn't great but he did everything else you'd like in a midfielder and his aerial ability for his height was terrific.

Very disappointed to hear he's gone.

Totally agree was one of the few players I would have kept out of last seasons squad a good honest hard working professional.Does all the dirty  work that some times goes unoticed  will be a loss but it was always going to happen.

  8. Always have said that there should be no fixtures schedulded on international dates especially the lower leagues the tartan army is full of fans from the like of Queens and Falkirk.

Queens will loose a fortune the hospitality was sold out for the Falkirk match but for a midweek fixture lucky if we get 20 paying punters throw in the fact its a midweek journey  for the Falkirk supporters who usually bring a decent support on a Saturday but this will be badly affected.Another financial hit Queens could do without

  9. The slo committee have organised another event which may interest a few folk on this site. For more information please email pengie1919@googlemail.com

All proceeds from this event will be donated to the club there are numerous dealers from across the uk coming along and there will be museum tours available free of charge.
