  1. Unlike Dixon, Connolly, McManus and even Durnan who showed big improvements under M&M, Telfer arguably had his "best" displays under McKinnon, never showed up once for M&M and his only notable input was kicking Regan Hendry in an act of inexplicable cowardice.

he’s a big fan of the consolation penalty.
  2. I can sympathise with people not going but if your kids are keen to go then surely you should take them along, they are the future of our support. The BOD aren’t going to be there forever.

Some of the best memories I have of my youth is going to the football with my dad.

Back the Bairns and take your son or daughters along if they are twisting your arm!

totally agree with this. its really poor parenting if you stop your kids going to the football because of your agenda.
  3. Mind at the start of the season and folk were panicking and demanding signings so we could have a full bench for the pre season friendlies. The result was signing players that the same people are now desperate to see the back off.
We all want signings but I’d rather sign no one than sign some of the shit we’ve had to endure in a Falkirk jersey the last couple of years.
I think we all trust M&M more than we ever trusted McKinnon so let’s hope something transpires.

That’s not really the point, we’re now in January and we’re back to what we were like at the start of the season with barely a squad. Hope we get a surprise tonight.
  4. Ross MacLean had a good debut at Ayr last January, then was playing well against Livi in the cup in the summer before going off injured and had a good 20 minutes against Airdrie last month before again going off injured.

He’s pish. Not offensively pish and I don’t have the same dislike that I have for the likes of McShane, Telfer, Durnan etc... but he’s still not good enough. He’s a slightly faster version of David Smith.

    Sums it up for me.
  5. I remember once or twice him getting by his man at airdrie (huge positive) then slicing the ball into the stand from the attempted cross. He’s definitely had a few passable performances, and he is positive which is why he sticks out amongst some of our negative sideways passers in our side, but don’t think he’s better than any of longridge, Connolly, telfer, de vita, Todd, tidser, which is saying something

A fair comment. Nah he’s probably not better than them but to say he’s absolutely shite is taking the piss imo. We’ve had worse passengers get away with it.
  6. He’s been here for over a year, can you remember one meaningful contribution he’s made? He was part of a team that got relegated last year, and even then barely scraped in the first team. Has scored 0 goals in 17 games, didn’t get played by McKinnon and M and M don’t seem to rate him. What makes you think he’s anything but not good enough?

Can recall a few good performances by him, County last game of season was the beat player on the park especially the first half. Livingston betfred cup was good. Was positive and direct against Airdrie when on. Feel like the criticism he gets is unfair when the only time he’s played a fair amount of minutes this league season he’s impressed.
  7. It’s a long process to get it back to what it was - trust, infrastructure, personnel etc. But the simple fact is it has to happen, so the longer we delay it, the longer we have to wait. Those in charge still believe we don’t need one

Totally agree, not an easy process. Should absolutely never have been at the point where we need to completely rebuild one of the most successful academies in the country.
  8. Something finally clicked in my head today as to why the ownership issue is so infuriating outwith the fact that those in charge are so obviously out their depth, icnompotent etc etc etc
Its that the major steps to bring back my love for my club is so easy. So so easy. Reinstate the academy. Have a chairman and board with a clear plan that we are a club that is a great place to play football and start your career. Have clear communication and respect between fans and board, with openness about detailed financials. I think there’s a possibility M and M are a very decent coaching duo, so that could already be that bit sorted.
f**k me, even if the current chairman apologised for what has been years of crazy decision making and disrespect to the fans, he can even stay, if he implemented those changes, I don’t really care who is in charge. Just get us back to being Falkirk FC ffs

I respect the post but to say at this stage reinstating the academy would be easy is just not possible. I don’t think we’ll see our academy for a long time, and it’s an absolute disgrace.
