  1. Harsh! What's happened to Kilwinning Rangers this season? Didn't they finish about fifth last season?
  2. Have you sold 1,500 tickets? Do you know how many have been sold?
  3. In all seriousness, arguably the seventh biggest club in Scotland: Celtic, Rangers, Hearts, Aberdeen, Hibs, Dundee Utd & then Kilmarnock. Quite an accolade given the size of the town.
  4. Is this a complete sell out, yet? I understand John Needham was confident Killie would sell out their allocation?
  5. I'd like to see Brechin come back up, so long as it's not at the expense of Albion Rovers!
  6. I thought about it, but I understand it's a very, very difficult language to learn. All credit to you.
  7. Unsure whether this should go in the Calling Cards of Morons thread or here. I've just discovered my late takeaway order has actually been 'delivered'. When I phoned to find out what happened to it, the owner of the takeaway was most insistent that the order had been handed over to someone. I had to explain several times that the recipient wasn't me. So some arsehole is answered his door, gratefully received what was handed to him, without questioning why this food had miraculously appeared on his doorstep...
  8. I'm hoping to get tickets for the away end still, so that's good to know; though I'm sure I heard only 900 had been sold. The club lists the capacity as 1,654: https://www.stmirren.com/match/tickets/first-time-visitors
  9. This will presumably be one of the ways to inform people they're about to be incinerated in a nuclear attack. 'WARNING: The UK is under attack. In approximately three minutes cities and large towns across the UK will be hit with nuclear missiles. Please take shelter immediately.'
  10. Fair enough, you'll have definitely had a better view of it than me, then. However was it the last man who brought him down?
  11. It's difficult to honestly say without the benefit of a replay, as I wasn't standing close enough. But my impression was it was a denial of a goal scoring opportunity, and I thought a sending off. The game was being filmed, so hopefully we get to see it again. I thought you brought a decent travelling support today, btw. I never thought either club would be anywhere near relegation before the start of the season.
  12. It was pretty poor up until the sending off. Kilwinning deserved the points.
  13. Indeed, and earlier in the season that would look quite feasible. My concern is the team's recent form indicates that's unlikely. Dundee need to drop points. In all fairness, ICT away is tough. But so's Ayr. There's always a chance Cove could cause an upset, but it's very unlikely. If QP can go into the last game of the season knowing a win will be enough, I would grab that with both hands right now.
  14. Absolutely, 100% opposed to 'B' teams featuring in the pyramid, and agree with you - there should be a reserve league. The only reason certain clubs are trying to introduce the idea, IMHO, is because they eventually want to see them climb up the pyramid. It's a terrible idea and I hate it. I want a Premier League consisting of 14 teams, with a 6/8 split at the end of the season. The two lower divisions should each have 16 teams - with a split of 8/8 for the last round of fixtures. Clubs will oppose that as it would mean a smaller share of the prize money, given four clubs would need to be promoted. There would be two clubs automatically relegated each year, with the third-bottom side facing a play-off. It means automatic promotion for the winners of the Highland and Lowland leagues. It also means plenty of six-pointers after the split, and a lot to play for.
  15. ICT away will be a tough game for Dundee, so they might well drop points. However after that they have Cove at home. So QP really need to get a win at Ayr - that's not going to be easy.
  16. I'm now a Greenock Morton supporter for 24 hours.
  17. I must admit I thought this would be Queen's Park's return to winning ways. Stating the obvious, but if they lose this, I can't see past Dundee for the title.
  18. Absolutely. This is one thing that really makes me angry, as I view it as a form of exploitation. Ultimately, the tenant's income is spent making their landlord richer, usually because they lack the means to purchase their own home. With rent typically being more than the cost of a mortgage, it only further impoverishes the poor and denies them the opportunity of acquiring the security that home ownership provides. It's a catch-22 as, for most low income people, they will never be able to save any money for a deposit and avaricious landlords buying properties inflates property prices. Saying that, I am a lodger and quite like the arrangement. My 'landlord' though is a friend and flatmate and it's mutually beneficial, but that's different to people buying properties with the sole intention of milking the poor.
  19. To be fair, given the tiny amount of land available to the club on that side, I don't think they could have done much more with it, unless they made it two-tiers.
  20. Is that a question? I don't think anybody is suggesting that adults should literally be banned from wearing football tops, but I do agree that there is something quite ridiculous about it. Same with adults who wear t-shirts adorned with cartoon characters, or 'I'm with stupid' type t-shirts. It's all a matter of taste, of course. I think it's akin to hanging furry dice from you rear view mirror. But by all means, go ahead.
  21. I've seen this pic sooo many times. This is exactly the sort of thing P&B was designed for, celebrating your team's victory by logging on here, gloating and rubbing salt into the wounds of your despondent opponents. Glorious.
