  1. No, which was the point. They looked a bit embarrassed by it all. Apologies for the one inaccuracy in my post. Informant obviously had gotten the wrong end of the stick... Ah well, here's to next Saturday.
  2. Guess the anger may have been in response to Cowdenbeath's 'over zealous' approach. A day on which the team that played football won over some fairly primitive overly physical tactics. And that management team, talk about very, very angry people... Their performance outshone their team's. Spark was fouled twice then goes down after Cox squeezes his genitals and Flaherty runs along the touchline spouting "F*ck off Spark ya f*ckin' fanny, ma cat's harder than you ya f*ckin' fanny..." etc etc. Pretty much set the standard for the game. Yeah, the families in the stand really enjoyed the visit of the Blue Brazil. Bollan and his henchmen wait for the officials at the tunnel at half time and there's a stramash for around 5 mins. Bollan get's yellow carded at the start of the 2nd half. Can't really criticise the team's discipline when the management team is setting such a standard. Cowdenbeath's board were very quiet... I doubt (hope) that they weren't too happy with things. And that after the team had stayed the night before in a hotel in Elgin.
  3. Point taken - didn't help when we headed down for the rescheduled game on a Tuesday evening only for the kick off to be delayed due to players being delayed crossing the Forth. No access to the ground, stuck outside in the car park and hearing rumours that the Cowden officials wanted it called off. Guess these things happen...
  4. You'll have enjoyed the drive back north then in glorious sunshine. I seem to recall a few Cowden fans discussing the circumstances at the time. Any truth in the story that Cowdenbeath held a training session on the park that afternoon? Part time clubs rely on volunteers that have the best of intentions though things don't always go to plan - an 'act of God' perhaps like the hottest, driest summer since '76 did the Borough Briggs pitch no favours. Fruitcake's is a bit harsh...
  5. Certainly not for the first time and probably not for the last time [emoji2]
  6. Yeah, like what happened to us a couple of seasons ago, team and fans all in Cowdenbeath then game called off... remember that one eh?!
  7. Hibs suggested the price, Elgin agreed. Cracking day out regardless. All the best for the rest of the season.
  8. Karma...? Pitch wasn't great but games had gone ahead and ref seemed happy enough... until GB got involved and called him over...
