No1 has a clue how much we can raise, im pretty sure the club are confident of sourcing a substantial sum or why even bother. People said the same about the training ground and its bought and paid for. Its the cost going up year on year thats the main concern for me. Say its 80m at present and we do actually get in built and opened in 5 years time, its probably going to be double that cost the way things are going. We need to actually get plans finalised so we can actually see if we can fund it. At this stage we seem a million miles off that 20 plus years on.

Then we end up with a shiny but still shit stadium like Hibs. Cant imagine it will increase turnover much because the seats are shiny. Thin we would manage to get alot funded through grants and investors. the biggest problem I see is that it wont cost 80m by time its built it will probably double that. Makes it even less likely.

Can you read accounts? we lost 5m on operating last season but there was 3m odd for player sales that wasn't included in that total. Their was also best part of 2m paid out in this years account for covid insurance, again not included in the 5m loss this season. Although the insurance was paid late we basically broke even in the previous years books. This season is a different matter but we have made some mistakes that have cost us alot of money no doubt. Paying of a management team and a number of players hasn't helped. We also like everyone else didn't have a open stadium till mid January. Many dont trust Cormack but I believe him when he says we have turned a corner. Youth doing well and recruitment seem going in right direction. Also averaging over 15k at home games which is a big rise on previous seasons. The stadium bit I agree with. Complete embarrassment and I dont really see that changing anytime soon with costs spiralling out of control. 80m could easily turn into 120m by times its actually built it.

Aberdeen have done exactly that by appointing someone with experience and its got off to a disastrous start!

He looks a decent candidate. Only issue I would have is that the budget he had at his disposal it would of been harder to fail than succeed. Signing lads that should be playing a couple divisions higher. Hard to gauge how good a manager he is based on that.

Aberdeen and Hibs seem to have went for a similar approach with their American owners. Been a massive fail thus far and now Aberdeen seem to have reverted back to a Mcinnes type approach with Goodwin which has also started terribly. I dont know an awful lot about the Hibs situation but the recruitment at Aberdeen has been a massive problem for a number of years now. Club already released/terminated about 70% of the summer recruits which is absolutely ridiculous! I do wonder how responsible Glass was for those signings and how he would of faired had 2/3 of those summer signings been better. Maloney didn't even get a proper window but he did look out his depth.

I’d say that’s an incredible number considering we sold about 9500 in total before start of last season. That and the state the club is in, it’s a lot more support than cormack deserves!

It did come from Nicholas. I was actually thinking about Ole. If he wanted to get back into management he’s not going to get a gig in England after united and Cardiff. To get back into management it would have to be a club similar to ours I reckon. Don’t think for a second he has applied but it’s maybe not as mental as I first thought if he actually wants to make a go of football management again! If he has actually applied I don’t think their is a decision to make! The lift he would give the club would be ridiculous and regardless what people would say he would get bums on seats!

The top figure doesn’t include the sale of McKenna and Cosgrove and the 2.25m payout from insurers will be in next years books. Overall pretty decent considering!

Need at least 10 games to see where we are at but having already played Hearts after a European game there is no way they are a better team than us. Who would be the other team above us assuming Celtic, Rangers and Hibs are cited as 3 of 4. Genuinely think now we are out of Europe and had time to blend all the new signings in we will finish third or fourth at very worst.

I don't see why we cant challenge for third with a few additions but if we make it to the groups it will be tough. The groups and 4th would be a great first season no doubt about it.

I agree but will will have to accept loses domestically to accomplish this if we go all in for Europe. Group stages will take our turnover from 15m to circa 20m, that is a massive increase. Would happily take a loss on Sunday if it meant winning on Thursday.

What are you even on about. I was merely speaking about our predicament not mentality. Obviously we all want to be in Europe but the game on Thursday cost us our place in the League cup and if we lose on Sunday the game on Thursday will play a big part in the loss if we rest players. Everyone was buzzing for the season until we scraped past livi and lost to Raith, both results due to resting players for European games. Our squad is not good enough to be in Europe and rest players for domestic games, OF get away with it because there squads are absolutely miles ahead of any other team domestically.
