  1. Put it this way....having a new manager at Liverpool coming in is going to be a big factor on whether we would see Beck back for another season. I don't really have any care for their fortunes but the new manager coming in will want to hit the ground running and for that reason, with Robertson and Tsimikas ahead of him, I can't see Beck getting much of a look in. We now have proof that if they wanted to keep him and a prospect for the future, that he will get regular game time and the chance to develop further. If January was anything to go on, though, we probably won't be the only ones looking for him either on a loan or transfer considering the old firm were sniffing around.
  2. Courier reporting it. Cameron is our best chance at getting some decent money since Jack Hendry. When he signed a deal last year how long was it for? We need to safeguard ourselves as much as possible...
  3. Yeah that's a good point to be fair. I suppose my 'free-hit' accommodated for not shipping loads of goals.
  4. Both teams hitting form at the right time of the season, this one will be a lot harder fought than other games this season but I still expect a Celtic win unfortunately. These games are free hits for us. I'd like us to start with a formation and line up that similar to the Rangers game but I think we may go back to a 3-5-2. Rangers punted it long constantly so there was no need to congest the midfield where I think we need to do that in this game. Tiffoney and Bakayoko up front as normal.
  5. Bakayoko staying on with us is a great addition in my opinion. Someone posted earlier saying they think Bakayoko is one of our most underrated players and I completely agree - think I've said continuously that I don't understand the dislike a lot of our fans have for him. There hasn't been many examples of us being a better team when he's not on the pitch. I do think Main will be better with a full pre-season. For now, though, the partnership that has been the best has been Bakayoko + Tiffoney. I would like to say these final few games are a tester for players like Pineda and Robinson to prove their worth...but there is too much hanging on them with us chasing a European spot. Players like Robertson and Sharp aren't good enough for Dundee and that has been clear to me for a long time, as harsh as it seems. Robertson is a tidy wee player but we might as well accept that players like him and Sharp need to move on so as not to stifle their careers. If Donnelly is available to sign then we simply need to do it, he's got a bright future ahead of him. Same with McCracken.
  6. The rest of us can't enjoy a drink at the game because of these muppets. Sectarian bile that just gets passed off as banter at the football by the powers that be. It really is a further kick in the stones when their fans do what they did last year with pyro and get away with it. Two wrongs don't make a right and our pitch has been a minter this season but the double standards by these gimps that pander to the old firm is incredible. Always hit the easy target first.
  7. Ross County v Hibs. Same day our game against Aberdeen was postponed.
  8. Are they going to hold every other club in the league to the same standard? If anyone else has to postpone one single game are they going to receive a fine? If we upgrade our pitch accordingly we are no different to anyone else. It's an absolutely farcical condition to set on the club.
  9. It doesn't but it definitely suggests that. Makes reference to a further breach of SPFL rules - to me that's left to be fairly interpretive. Either way the size of the fine is an absolute joke if you take in to account Motherwells fine previously. Amazing what a tantrum from Rangers can do...
  10. McCowans work rate is far better than Stewarts was. Stewart was a magician at times for us so I'm loathed to try and say which one is better. What I would say is the similarities between the two are crazy. McCowan in my opinion is captain material and that is what separates him from Stewart.
  11. This is all 100% spot on. Bakayoko did well for us, though his final pass at times let him down, Cameron is brilliant and Main is still not fit; he also does this really frustrating thing that when the ball is punted in the air for him to challenge the first thing he does is stare at the player he is challenging and doesn't even care where the ball is. He's just there to hassle the opponents and bring others in to the game, which I think Bakayoko does better.
  12. The premise of this is fine - but it has to come with balance. His lack of credit for the performance of Dundee and to basically suggest that we just clogged Rangers out of scoring was completely laughable. He described us as being lucky ffs. There's a balance to be struck between keeping the morale of your squad high when the tough gets going but you can't do that at the cost of delusion.
  13. Dundee got £500,000 for Greg Stewart when he was 26 back in 2016. If you're talking about a figure close to a million for McCowan, then no, we probably won't be getting that but given he's under contract and wants to sign a new one with us then we should command a similar sort of fee as Stewart.
  14. Very good performance last night again. This team just continue to impress with their work rate and patterns of play. McCowan is just a magician - having the composure on the ball of him and Cameron is so important to how we play. I just want Cameron to be a wee bit more physical. McGhee, like others have said, deserves a mention. Not been his biggest fan over the years but he is one of those that epitomises the work rate of the team. I also thought Dodgson was very good. Tiffoney is just a total pitbull - he put the fear in to the Rangers defence all night with his hassling. Costelloe when he came on...f**k me...just complete a pass mate. He could easily have been subbed back off again.
  15. Main still looked a wee bit unfit even on Saturday. I'm hoping a full pre-season and we'll have him firing. I don't know what to make of Robinson - loved him from the championship season but hasn't really had the chance this season, I don't think Docherty fancies him at all. Most likely work rate.
  16. I've been a fan of Bakayoko and would be happy to keep him. He has off games and people really focus on those bad games that he has, but generally his link up play is pretty good and he has chipped in with important goals. Not to mention the fact that Docherty likes to play with a second striker or someone just behind, Bakayoko has generally been the main striker and the partner has changed through the season. Tiffoney has been impressive since the turn of the year and I think that is the best partnership we have at the moment. It's hard in general to get a player at this level that will get you lots of goals. I'd have loved for us to get Van Veen in but Kilmarnock got in there. I actually noticed on one of the social media posts that Mellon is the same height as Bakayoko which I didn't really expect. Mellon hasn't had a consistent run of games and I'd like to see him get more minutes post-split to see if he's worth getting back from Burnley.
  17. Someone said to me a month or so ago that 3 people had been arrested. I couldn't find anything to prove that was the case - but even if it was 3 people is hardly proportionate is it?
  18. Mental but entirely not surprising. I always thought that we would get a suspended fine, like Motherwell and that would be the end of it. Terrible precedent to be set here if they try and hound us for money because of postponements. Especially when the fixture can be played. SPFL thinking: Lets charge clubs an insane amount for sub-standard technology that sub-standard referees continue to make mistakes with every weekend, lets make sure the big two get the most amount of money whilst the rest fight for scraps balancing the need to maintain their facilities whilst also putting a semi-competitive team on the pitch. Then, just then, we'll make sure that when a fixture is postponed and the big team along with the tv companies stamp their feet we will just go after the club in question. Did Rangers even get fined for their pyro nonsense earlier in the season and for the disruption that had on the game? Did they f**k.
  19. Best set of fixtures we could have hoped for in all honesty. We welcome the European push.
  20. Gutted there hasn't been more chaos. We just need to continue the hilarity by pumping them.
  21. Just giving Perth the benefit of one extra Premiership game before a long spell of absence occurs...
  22. And I'd welcome you with open arms. Best remember to bring your swimming goggles and inflatable armbands, mind you.
  23. At least you're not absolutely fucking raging about it...
