  1. Winter Break?????? Eh? When will AVFTT be permitted back on our screens? See BBC Scotland? See out-of-touch? Ach weel, we've still got all the numpties on Radio and TV to keep us entertained and informed annoyed and irritated. Haste ye back.
  2. In the mood for more random stats? Only Celtic, The Rangers, The Jambos and Motherwell have scored more in the league this season than County. 4th placed Utd have 4 less after one more game. Different story defensively of course (26) with only Dundee being worse (27). That said, top 6 St Mirren (22) & Motherwell (21) aren't that far behind (ahead?) in the poor defence stakes. All totally irrelevant in terms of what counts - the league positions.
  3. He was in Glasgow for Smith's funeral. He and SAF appear chatting on front page of the Herald last week. Media chats probably good for a few bob for beer money while he's here.
  4. Even more so given the attitude at the weekend and the Goldson statement thereafter. (Most of well read The Rangers support probably think Ethos was one of the Three Musketeers)
  5. GVB will doubtless take out the deadwood and have a New Year bonfire of the vanities and keep those who are committed and able. Salvage what he can of this season (it's no mah fault, it wiz him) and have his own team and style for after the summer. We all wish him well. Or not. That'll be "not".
  6. A decent prospect this young lad. Likely to go places (ultimately Ibrox). A look back to the days when players would stay with a club and the avarice of agents was still to come. (February 1978).
  7. There are different circumstances when a player must be cautioned for unsporting behaviour including if a player: makes unauthorised marks on the field of play So that'll be everyone who takes a knee slide across the pitch digging parallel trenches en-route getting booked now. Unless they're at Livingston, obviously.
  8. It is all about the stats. Very much like last time out with very much the same end result. Nice to see almost 100% sensible response here to the two reds from both sides. It's a different world when the big boys ain't involved.
  9. It seems this was put to the board by the fans after they were told how the big boys of Europe don't play fair cos of finances. In The Herald's Celtic fanboy's report of the AGM it's pretty obvious he's siding with the support and ripping the piss out of the Board. Surprisingly worth a read. Oh, and they say that last season's tumbleweed blowing around the trophy cabinet was the Governments fault. Or the players. Or the lack of a run in Europe which was the Euro-big-guns fault ... you get the idea.
  10. This from the Celtic AGM where the Board also explained that as to the failures in Europe, they "cited the gulf in resources in European football." Ma heart bleeds for the puir wee souls. Glad that's not an issue in their domestic game.
  11. Put on yer Brummy accent and delve into the Villa views. Not much enthusiasm for the contents of the Ibrox shop window (nuffing good in the SPL). https://www.villatalk.com/topic/22238-january-transfer-window-2022/page/56/ Edit : Anyone here claim to be "weechops"?
  12. You'll be looking forward to cricket's T20 World Cup visiting Scotland then? (But, aye, well worth the revisit of the BBC's Nostradamus soothsaying)
  13. Our era. As an excuse for my stupidity I've never seen CCBB. And of course the source story was written by the same man who created Goldfinger. ("No, Mr Potts, I expect you to drive!")
  14. Despite the fact that Remembrance Day has been partly hijacked it remains valid for all of us. And football was a respite for those who were there. Our families, our game. To keep up the Scottish Photos theme, have a look at https://www.footballandthefirstworldwar.org/ Something there for all.
  15. Jings, you're right indeed (as ever). And it features Goldfinger too, I think.
  16. Yowza! That's the one! Congratulations - you've won the star prize (the admiration of all P&Bers).
  17. A British musical... Think Flash, Bang, Wallop (You've got to be as aged as Kingjoey, really).
  18. Sunday night quiz time. I was channel-hopping and paused in time to snap this from a 1960s film - I'd never seen it before and hopefully never will again. In which film does this Joe Harper appear? Very apt that it's "Guess your Weight".
  19. Apologies if that caused you some offence. But (a) look again - it does look like a salute, even it if was a high-5 (it was a throwaway flippancy (aka shite) and any possible association with any particular club didn't even cross my mind). And (b) I couldn't remember a "DA" from that time - a genuine question now answered. I guess you are a bit stressed trying to be the voice of reason through recent events.
  20. Other than the overtly right-wing salutes in the photo, just who is "DA"?
  21. Don't know if this has been reported on this busy thread yet, but The Rangers have dithered for so long that they've missed out on Yogi. Fife's gain.
