  1. Was planning a wee Highland League groundhopping trip this Saturday but I might just head to this fixture now. Sounds like it could be feisty.
Hope the SJFA have requested an experienced Ref for the tie.
    Aye an Aberdeen ref [emoji849][emoji849]
  2. Who’s at each other’s throats?! I think you’ll find we are all united. There’s just one keyboard warrior with a new account and an agenda, clearly not a supporter either as we all know each other and are always very open with our opinions [emoji2369]
    Well said spyro [emoji122][emoji122][emoji122]
  3. I’m not a supporter of this club or know anything about it but reading the comments yous are joint top of the league and still on every cup competition and your saying you need a change ? Wonder if Celtic and Rangers need a change as they are joint top of league and in all the competitions. What a complete bawbag you seem to be
There speaks a wise man :)
  4. join the club jason - i also go undercover every week in the coo shed - nudge nudge wink wink
All season while we are doing well not a peep of well done lads but as soon as there is a couple of defeats you are on with a massive spoon trying to shit stir whilst making an utter james hunt of yourself do we need to improve on the last 2 games yes but in the main we have the core of a quality team what good does it do for a 'fan' to come on here spouting the shite that you have today
  5. A bit of perspective is needed before the armadale game we were top of the league and had just beaten Thornton away in the cup so for anyone the say the players are a shambles is bang out of order the last 2 displays haven't been great but in November we are still joint top and in every cup competition a couple of additions to the squad are needed though that is plain to see

  6. Totally agree with you.....a truly TEAM performance yesterday against a strong physical team on a very tight park. Great game that could've IMO went any way but a fantastic strike by DD 10 mins from end puts us in the next round. Good hard typically physical junior cup tie yesterday with a good Hoose support in attendance. On to the Dale on Saturday and lets hope the lads put in a similar performance. 4th Round here we come....Go The Hoose!!
    See you next week :)

Scottish Junior Cup - Third Round

The Hibs are out of the Macron Scottish Junior Cup following a disappointing performance against Fauldhouse who had David O'Donnell to thank for two great strikes that earned the visitors the victory that takes them into the fourth round draw.
It was Thornton who created the first goal-scoring opportunity in the 2nd minute when Daniel McNab's strike from the edge of the box brought out a fine save from Matthew Craig.
O'Donnell opened the scoring in the 20th minute when his well-taken free-kick entered the net low down just inside the post. Craig made another fine save to deny Garry Thomson and followed this up with a brave save at the feet of McNab as Thornton tried to get back into the game.
On the stroke of half-time Fauldhouse had a great opportunity to double their lead when Scott Costello brought down Aiden Ward in the area however Costello atoned for this by saving Aaron Connolly's penalty-kick.
Three minutes into the second-half, Garry Thomson scored his tenth ever goal in the Scottish with a terrific free-kick to level affairs and not long after this, Andy Adam's free-kick was well saved by Craig with Thomson and Shaun Keatings watching in disbelief as their close in efforts were blocked on the line.
O'Donnell's brilliant strike from outside the area in the 83rd minute gave Costello no chance and in doing so it spoiled what was Craig Gilbert's 400th game in charge of the Hibs.
Thornton Hibs: Costello, Ford, Robertson, A.Drummond, Shields, Adam, Keatings, Orrock, B.Anthony, Garry Thomson, McNab. Subs: Ireland, Garry Thomson jnr, D.Anthony, Cooper, Warrender.
Fauldhouse United: Craig, Herriot, Daly, Watson, Brady, Henderson, O'Donnell, Ward, Connolly, Duffy, McCafferty. Subs: Macleod, Dunn, Johnston, Smillie, Wallace.
    Referee: Mr J.Curran
    Match statistics:

Superb performance by every player yesterday after missing a penalty and then equalizing early in the second half our heads could have dropped 2 really good goals by dd but matty craig take a bow son he has came on leaps and bounds this year has matured and improved so much some of his saves this season have been exceptional roll on the next round
