  1. As a Falkirk fan, put this chat straight in the bin! Clyde were a top flight club but never reached there again. Certainly old Rangers never will. Its sport, no guarantees.
  2. I know promotion was the be all and end all but what would would people give just the league campaign out of 10? If folk want to give reasons, go for it, but I’m just giving a number (omitting the play-off). I’m saying 5.
  3. To be honest, I couldn’t give a shit about getting into the Premier League just now. If we eventually get back into the Championship, that’s going to be a pretty difficult nut to crack, especially from where we’ve come from (and changing squads all the time).
  4. On the other side of the coin, when we played a lot of games in 2015/16 to get to the play-off finals, all the games played meant we were a spent force by the end. It’s a difficult act to balance resting players and making sure they’re at it, but that’s the managers job.
  5. The Dunfermline 2-0 game happened and it petered out, with the cup run perhaps a distraction. Players went off the boil for too long then the big games came and it was deer in headlights time.
  6. 100%. There’s so little to defend about us that it’s either do the above or go absolutely demented!
  7. Time for humble pie from me (without knowledge of the harsh financial world of sacking a manager). McGlynn needs sacked.
  8. Further to this, at least we are a basket case than a non-entity (what Clyde became, compared to what they were anyway). There’s got to be a tipping point, I can’t see us having a decent fanbase forever more languishing in L1.
  9. We’re now the firmly established basket case club of Scottish football. From when I started going in the early 90s to the middle of the last decade, the majority of times we were a club known for team spirit and camaraderie. That has now mostly evaporated
  10. Even then we’ve had a bogey team in Kelty and a 50% win rage against Clyde is unacceptable.
  11. We did lay a glove on them, Morrisons great chance. A lot of the game hinged on that moment.
  12. Yeah, let’s keep McGlynn for another 2-3 years….
  13. I know words like “shitebag” have been banded about since Tuesday but what other word other than stupid describes what Burrell did at the end of the wall for that second goal?!
  14. Dundee and Bowyer have parted ways. McKinnon and Queens Park. Dundee and McCormack years ago when Dundee were top.
  15. Our striker options really are shite. A non scoring striker (Oliver), an impact sub who many have been hanging their hats on (wrongly in the case of Burrell). Allan and Wright make up the numbers. Depressing.
  16. I would agree with your list but change the headings. Good - Okay. Okay - Not bad. You could argue that Henderson and Max are in the good but Hendo lacks a bit of a nasty side and Max seems to have become a little bit neat and tidy whereas when he first came in he had more influence, especially coming off the bench. Kai Kennedy could also make a case in recent weeks for staying in the good but has a tendency to disappear in games.
  17. That’s easy. He leaves or goes upstairs at the end of next season…..champions, promoted or not.
  18. The more I think about it, the more I think that 6th goal was a killer. First half was the stuff of nightmares and McGlynn and the team really let themselves and the fans down but get back to TFS 5-2 (winning the second half 2-0 with a bit of momentum) and instead of a minuscule chance on Saturday, I’d give us a shout on Saturday (underdogs still, of course). As it is, I feel the swing is too big.
  19. This is true but let’s not forget, 2016/17, his last full season (Kerr/Taiwo in the middle, Sibbs losing interest, Baird on the decline, Gasparatto!), was a bit of a slog. 2nd place in The Championship, Halycon days compared to now, but 2015/16 was the last really good season.
  20. Got to be number one . Any other shockers in the last 40 years have at least been in the top two leagues. Queens Park 6-0, I hear ya, but with so much at stake, it’s got to be number one.
  21. A 6-2 defeat where it’s toe-to-toe for a while (3-1, 4-2) and for whatever reason things run away at the end is just about fathomable. 5-0 down after 41 minutes in such a crucial game (against a team below us in the league) is just wild.
  22. Keep Hamilton That’s what made you laugh and not the sentence after? I could see us getting a few on Saturday but……you know the rest.
