  1. I’m going off on one of my flights of fancy here but wouldn’t it be absolutely wonderful if we actually won the cup! Hear me out. Of the three cup finals we’ve been involved in, we’ve always been the underdog. Marginally vs ICT, less marginally vs Kilmarnock and pretty heavy underdogs vs Rangers (though we actually rather unsurprisingly outplayed arse cheek on the day due to the styles of play by both teams and other factors)

Heavy underdogs in the final if we beat ICT would be being very kind to us but…… Celtic have their customary 30 shots on goal but we somehow bombscare a 1-0 win!

Absolute scenes (this one’s for the happy clappers, I’m just being the first one on here to put a positive case on end proceedings this season).

A semi final and a playoff (probably 2nd places) is surely a very good season?

No, semi final and promotion is a very good season. In saying that, from where we came from last season I know what you are saying.

Note: I checked last seasons results and, outwith our very decent start after 4 games last season and taking care of the bottom two teams (East Fife and Dumbarton), we actually only won another two games. Pretty staggering.

You lads can always console yourselves with the real prize, the 'most corners won' trophy.

Unfortunately you can't have the real, real prize, that being the 'biggest crowds' trophy, although perhaps you may have the 'loads of semi finals' trophy that a few of your fans assured me last week was secured.

Yeah, we seem to be a nearly club. Hopefully that changes though.

    I'd go

                          Kinnear

    Rowe McKay Donaldson McCann

                         Henderson

    Morrison         Max.       Kennedy

                  Burrell.        Oliver

This is extremely harsh on mcginn and nesbit who've both done well this season but the above formation means we have a goal threat from all over the pitch, speed in Morrison and burrell, trickery and guile in max and Kennedy, hold up, game management and linking play in oliver. From set pieces height in McKay Donaldson and Henderson.

Yeah I like that more. McGinn would feel disappointed but horses for courses and could still be play an important part coming off the bench. Likewise Nesbitt.

Yep, that’s the team right there (training properly, form etc. permitting).

That’s Mglynns job to figure out but he HAS to start. Every game from now on .

He does but it’s worth offering an opinion.  I don’t like 4-4-2 in this day and age, what about sacrificing a bit of width and keeping it compact but more up top with this shape?

                      Kinnear/Morrison

    Rowe   MacKay  Donaldson  McCann

           Max        McGinn     Henderson

                          Morrison

                Burrell              Oliver

As much as getting to the cup semi is a bonus we have hardly kicked a ball in the league since, it's been way more of a distraction than I think anyone could have imagined. This season has the potential to be fantastic regarding promotion and getting to a cup final ( which we won't win) but it looks very much like we are just going through the motions at the minute and that's a worry.

Probably won’t win. If we got to the final, I’d give us a 3% chance vs Rangers and 1% vs Celtic

Hope the Form Guide Champions weren't hanging off for a result today before finalising the DVD....

In all seriousness, I'm not fully sure what we learned today. Their second half was better than our first but it's correct to say they still somewhat needed their lead handed to them. Thats not something that we can or should rely on tbh. I think both teams look very different in the playoffs but we NEED to sort out the brain farts at the back or they will beat us next time.

I’ve almost conceded that we’re going to give away a gift (probably two) a game with this side now in the upcoming big games. I doubt McGlynn can do much about it. I think we’re going to just have to try and out score teams.

Got to be honest I think the multiple second half substitutions tend to do more harm than good when the team are playing well.

Disrupts the rhythm and can put us on the back foot as we saw tonight.

4 subs per team in a game is enough.

Personally I wouldn’t want to see 5 at the back in this league. No point having 3 centre halves not contributing in an attacking sense when you’re playing against a bank of 10.

You could have Max with McGinn and Henderson as one of the three centre backs but with a licence to get forward. Or is that too sophisticated at this level?

  10. What about something like this to change it up?

                             Kinnear

           Mackay  Donaldson Mackie

    Rowe                                          McCann

                Henderson      McGinn

                            Morrison

                 Oliver                  Allan

Nesbitt should not have got another contract regardless of improved form. He will absolutely go missing with more regularity in the championship should we get there and McGuffie is just dugshite.

McGuffie looks like he’s got great balance but he just flatters to deceive.

There have been a grand total of , erm, two posts on their thread since 16:45. So the chances of any contribution from an opposition supporter are, well, not very high.

Absolutely no-one gives a toss about them, which is why he comes running on here craving attention. They are truly the small-time diidiest of the diidies. All about the Falkirk.

Not from the source I’d like but if Glenmavis was honest, there’s a lot of truth in this.

Not sure you understand how an Internet forum works. You do know you can comment on other clubs pages don't you? And, it's not even against the rules! Crazy eh?

Yes, I do enjoy Saturdays when Lolkirk stumble. Pleasing. Enjoy your night.

Let’s flip it. if you had, say, a Raith Rovers fan on your page constantly lapping up an Airdire (going with your patter) stumbling, would you not be a little puzzled by it?
