  1. Really surprised you guys didnt sign someone on loan this week, probably midfield as Low seems to be struggling with injuries. Shame, as do think you have a real chance this year and a good signing would of helped the odds Wish you well.
  2. Agreed. Joining the manager who got the best out of him. On form better than most of the players in our team. The challenge of course , is he has not been in form. General feeling of disappointment. Hope for his sake he gets back to his best.
  3. Yes, if Wallaces’ lob had gone in and Danny was not unlucky with his wonder strike. But ifs mean nothing and we have got some form way too late in the season. We must also recognise we were playing against a team with no confidence, their midfield looked like an under 15 team and none of them have the ability to pass a ball forward. So We could of won that match, but we didn't , which is so frustrating and sums up our season.
  4. Thought we deserved a point. Danny ‘s 30 yard shot that hit the bar would of changed the game. Penalty looked weak but too far away. Thought at times we were the sharper team and got thro their midfield with ease. Quality delivery by Griffiths re the corner tbf.
  5. Paranoia . comment on your midfield! many comments on DGW at Raith.! Evem more comments on our disaster season at EF.! when the obvious is said about Dowds from an EF fan , they have to be a relative! Next you will be saying Ark sports the sports agency are relatives. Maybe people are saying the obvious? i’m no related to Arksports or Dowds but loved him as a boy who has come through the unorthodox system of Uni rather than academy. Anyway enjoy him whilst he is with you.
  6. The midfield problems are so obvious to everyone except the management team and of course has a huge influence on both attack and defence. Hopefully you don't do something daft and get a loan signing in before Saturday!Would even fancy our midfield vs your no 6 and the very wee guyMcGuffie..
  7. Have to say thought the commentary was embarrassing. Peterhead could easily of won that, dominated the midfield. Have to say though, the Ref was truly shocking and the CB of Peterhead could easily been sent off for his constant fouling.
  8. Every Falkirk Fan seems to echo your comment re para 2. ( even opposition fans see it as so obvious). Why does your management team not see it? You cant tell me there is not such a player available in the loan market , particularly with your resources? So must be management team have a different view?
  9. Tell you what if you can come away with draws in your off days, thats the sign of league winning team. The worry is the size of your squad, and injuries to a few players can be devastating. From what I see you had no Low, Jack Hamilton and Chris Hamilton! Add to that no Nouble and Dowds who would of played if still there, that is some result. I would not be surprised if Your smart management team come up with a good loan signing before the end of the month.
  10. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. You have still not sorted your midfield and if you try to play thro that midfield that is madness. Also midfield imo is Peterhead’s strongest area of the team with Brown there. Therefore I cant see there being any change, ie another loss. Hope i am wrong , as want them no further away from us after tomorrow’s game!
  11. Take your point. But all the posters are saying your midfield is woeful. So why play tit tat football at the back when you have a poor midfield that you cant play thro. No tactician but with Kabia and Dowds who can run down the channels and have pace, even if they lose the ball, the game is played in the right part of the football pitch- Arbroath are doing rather well using those tactics.
  12. Based purely on football , that seems mad. We were competing with you in league1 and beating you. The improvement he has made to your team is extraordinary. Its typical for a team in the second season in a higher league to hit problems, fall back before moving forward. Be careful what you wish for. You have had plenty managers who have set you backwards, like us. Again only talking from a football perspective
  13. We took 2 pts off QP today- have to say they are not that great. Actually think you guys were better against us. But as you all know, and even Stevie Wonder could see that your midfield isn't good enough- You cant win games of football against the better teams with a midfield that can be easily dominated. Just be our luck that you sort it for Saturday.
  14. So sorry to hear that. Came on loan to us from Hearts after major injury. Was rapid fast, but final ball was always lacking in quality. We put that down to lack of game time. Seemed to play well last year for you guys , but again plagued with injury. Wish him well - certainly a player there. Wish him well.
  15. Winning away has always been a real problem, now we have added to it, we can’t win at home either. Last 6 games, 4 defeats and 2 draws. Sorry but this is woeful , don't think we have improved at all under the new manager. Expect nothing today- go on surprise me!
  16. In league 1, even an unfit Griffiths will score for fun. His free kicks at Dundee alone, eg the one against Aberdeen this season was sensational! Re economics, everyone will guess. Thats where you have to rely on the new BOD being smart and sensible.
  17. Wow-Dowds energy and Griffiths skill- lethal combination. However- just dont seeing your midfield being effective?
  18. As an EF fan I have really admired the RR fans how they have reacted - changed a dreadful decision. But you now have a decision to make. Carry on and your club is dead. Not sure that is smart.Change within the constraints , is smart, learn from mistakes. Sim, and whether you rate him or not, has saved your club with his money. ( We would of loved such an owner) Now , if that is unacceptable, so be it, see you with us in league 2. Now I have never liked McGlynn . He is smart, know his football, and even worse he always came across as a good guy! Sponsors,Val, with their political follies, really don't add that much value to the club- sponsorship is a round of drinks in the corporate world. Let them go, the core is the fans, don't be a pawn in a wider agenda. Take your club back, For me, appoint a new chair, get the fans back, but give McGlynn and Sim the opportunity for redemption, forgiveness. If not then stop talking, kill the club and follow the ego of Val…. Even better , join us EF fans in our living nightmare…..???
  19. Having only watched you twice this year, i agree with most of the posters, unless you sort midfield, ie bring is a hard tackling and ball winning player to supplement the likes of Telfer, you wont beat the top half. Rennie comes across as a smart guy. It seems like he has sorted the front line and the defence , he must know the midfield in not working and therefore it affects the defence and the creativity for your forwards. Thought you were signing Liam Craig, who would fit that bill perfectly?
  20. The only issue will be the wind- will make the game a lottery although tends to blow across the pitch. Oh joy….
  21. Its the definition of the ultimate self destruction. Only a couple of years ago we were confident that we could be beat you- after breaking the long hoodoo we did and draw regularly. Under McGlynn you kicked on remarkably, played attractive football, were miles ahead of us, and were that close to the unbelievable prize of promotion to Premiership. I think you get the Celtic. Draw in SC, plenty money, raw ambition takes over and you destroy everything built in the last few years. Couldnt make it up. However, the RR fans have been amazing and all credit to them. Forget those who seek political opportunity, RR fans have stood up and said our values as a family club are more important than anyone’s ambition, hollow victories. Respect
  22. Seriously, speaking with a cool head, that clearly the BOD did not have with McGlynn. Keep the pressure up, you can largely solve this . The Directors cannot ignore the uproar, and actually it will show the Raith fans did not accept winning at any costs, that the fans really do believe they have family values and will stand up For those, at the cost of hollow victories. i know it doesnt feel like it now, but the fans of RR have won a lot of support from other fans and wider public. You can salvage this wreckage, but you need to keep the pressure up imo.
  23. . Seriously, None of us should be making moral judgements, particularly us fans of other clubs.Do what you think is right is my advice to my Raith pals. Show your displeasure, in the way you think best. The club was here long before these idiot custodians arrived, and guess what will be there long after they leave.!No doubt the club has gone backwards which is so weird when you could almost taste further success at the club. The danger of raw ambition…!!!!But its your club not theirs.
  24. So agree with this. Really sad. McGlynn has done an outstanding job for you , a really descent guy, sees this as the best opportunity in a long time to get promotion to the top league , and makes a woeful decision. The prize had clouded his judgement but that is where the cool heads in the Board come in. They are as culpable as McGlynn for this poor judgement. No idea what happens next, but this cloud will not lift quickly which ironically is likely to sabotage your chance of promotion- the purpose behind the ill fated original decision. A true Cluster F- ck!!
