  1. If the kind of vile secterian cretinism that Glasgow has had to endure each May for the last few years is to become an annual 'event' then why not have it within Celtic Park ?
  2. "Cheers mates. That's me off to Spurs now...must dash , other badges to kiss , other fans to patronise...."
  3. And maybe if he finds the questioning of the Scottish media tedious and tiresome, which I believe he's right to, he'd rather they ask him just that. Although my hunch is that he'd get even more boorishly rude and stroppy if any Scottish reporter dared quiz him on why the all conquering Celtic of Scottish football fail so spectacularly and consistently in Europe.
  4. Anyone who buys a baseball cap and wears it who isn't American and doesn't play baseball ...
  5. Is the standard of football, the standard of home grown player, the results of our clubs in Europe and the standard of our international team better or worse to than it was when we had two leagues which everyone playing each other twice ? If so stick with what we have. Or deal in reality and accept that for whatever reason the old 18 team top flight was scrapped it has not worked. And if you think our top flight is 'competitive' , well........
  6. Sky need ! Sky need ! What about what Scottish football needs ? I'm pretty certain that Sky would like 4 Liverpool v Man Utd league games a season or Sky's Spanish equivalent 4 Barcelona - Real league games a season. Maybe, just maybe, we don't need Sky.
  7. I'd say that Celtic fans should be bothered about Saturday's result/performance because it shows when an opposition (even one as bang average as Glasgow Rangers) get among them and deny them time and space they fall apart like a cardboard suit in the rain. It's why they have been and will continue to be, cannon fodder in Europe. But that's not really news I suppose.
  8. Commentary on the second half by Jimmy Jewell !!??? Expert analysis in the studio with Hylda Baker and Arthur Mullard.
  9. 'Manager or The Year' should be a recognition of 'exceptional achievement' . Debatable, given how many to they've won in the past few years, if there is anything 'exceptional' about Celtic winning a treble. And , you never know, they may only win a double...
  10. Yep exactly.....and I accept the illogicality of it.
  11. Seeing as you asked like an utter charmer...... no. !!!
  12. Clearly nothing to do with staunch Presbyterian edicts as the Celtic of the Stein era had a similar no facial hair rule. Check Alfie Çonn at Spurs and subsequently at Celtic for confirmation..
  13. Each to their own...but to me that's as illogical as saying you'd watch/listen to Gerry Cinnamon rather than Bob Dylan simply because the former is 'Scottish'. It's probably because I don't fervently support a Scottish club. I get that. I would watch the Scottish national team over any other match and Andy Murray over Nadal or Djokovic, so I accept what you're saying but Scottish domestic football just can't hold that attachment for me.....not as long as Rangers and Celtic are playing in it.
  14. If I think the actual Scottish football match in question will be a tediously predictable non-event , which I do, and have no particular allegiance to either club, which I don't , then I'd rather watch the game which has the potential to provide the better entertainment and that's Man City v Man Utd. I hope I'm wrong of course.
  15. Nonsense !! My 'take' on this is precisely because I despise the Old Firm and all they stand for and have no interest in, or wish to view, their vile religious triumphalism. Anyone, whether from Inverness or anywhere else who shared my views would not support the bigotry brothers under any circumstance. So no, you're utterly and mystifyingly wrong on this one.
  16. All this 'Tiger' & 'Rory' guff golf commentators indulge in ........either call every player by their first name or every player by their surname.
  17. Exactly, great for the fans of the two clubs, Caley especially. But unless something wonderful happens not for me.
  18. "......Smell , Smell, the Celts are here......... that's a dirty libel, baseless dirty libel..."
  19. If there was a scintilla of a chance of ICT winning this then it would be required viewing for all. However as Celtic will have scored twice within the first ten minutes it will be a tedious display of pointlessness played out to a background of bigots singing 'party songs'. Unless you're a fan of either team I don't understand how anyone who enjoys watching football would watch that over a Manchester derby FA Cup Final.
