Most likely. Wonder how our accounts will look in regards to players & management spend. I'd imagine our budget was way behind those two but I'd guess we will have totally blown that budget to smithereens for this season. S'pose I was just trying to highlight, as if it's needed, how much of the fans' money this BOD have splurged away. I know in the end it was what was required but seemingly no one is held accountable. A nice romantic notion but I am afraid you are wrong. Very few if any footballers these days play for a badge - they play for themselves first, then the manager that brought them there, and their teammates (the team). You might get some youth players come through the ranks that have a connection/affinity with the club and therefore the badge but there is no way loan players and free agents care what badge is on their strip. They are motivated by a very good manager & coaches, by the camaraderie of the team - and definitely inspired by the supporters (and reflect that passion) , a desire to win and to further their career. But any badge kissing or pointing to the shirt is merely to gain favour with the fans. Nowt wrong with that but many of them will be doing it somewhere else next season. The bottom line is when we stay up everyone will be happy and no-one will care who played for a badge or themselves. So all good.

Lang is obviously a woman of high principles who sticks to what she firmly believes in......well at least for 3 or 4 years. She could be Prime Minister. The piece interestingly highlights where we were when she came on board: with a Scottish Cup semi-final looming against Hibernian and a play-off place to be won as the season reaches its denouement, she would love to see the her home club progress with its largely homegrown players. And contrasts (not) nicely with where are now : Out of Cup to Stenny first round, a relegation play-off place to be avoided , with largely free agents & loan players and no homegrown players. Although it's not all down to her , it's a pretty damning reflection on her reign .

Similar to you I live overseas (in Australia) now and don't get to see the Bairns much these days , other than FTV. I did see Thistle away and QOS home in August this season live. I thought the QOS match was quite simply the worst display I have ever witnessed by a Falkirk team. To think Ray has turned things around in a matter if months, got us winning & unbeaten in 2019 is nothing short of remarkable. I am no fan of loan signings but understand the need , he had played the January window brilliantly it seems - which is not easy to do.

I wondered who the author of the flurry of club statements was. I however think differently in regards to the source . From his early days of a super high profile, constant media exposure, and a "come in and have a cup of coffee attitude"to the latter day version of the invisible man (apart from his mute performance at the fans meeting) - I reckon Craig Campbell is the man. His ego appears so massive he can't resist not saying nothing & he has found the perfect vehicle to bump his gums whilst not quite being in the firing line. I struggle to believe Margaret was across the racist statement considering she is a lawyer and there was no use of the word "alleged" anywhere on such a damning, potentially libelous, accusation with no proof.

Sadly true....but how on earth has it come to this? Falkirk were always at the very least a strong Championship club and at times a Premier League club , known for powerful defenders, skillful midfielders and prolific strikers , also bringin through & selling on exciting young players - often beating "big teams" and getting to cup finals. Now we are a basket case changing our entire team every window. Was it not Craig Campbell boasting about this new "Brentford Model" strategy at the start of the season - well I need to check but I can't recall Brentford filling their team full of loan signings, free agents & short term misfits. What's happened? I do know that Campbell & Lang have presided over an absolute clusterf*ck - from the "you're all racists statement" to an eye-watering amount of pay offs to managers & duff players, now this bumbling naive recruitment of the current management team, all with the backdrop of almost always being bottom of an awful league. I seriously don't know how they can have the brass neck to turn up every day at FFC. Falkirk fans have no teeth (at the moment) , we are just the mugs that pay for it all , but when the fans ownership is a reality the first thing we do is get these incompetent muppets out of our club. Our identity has been completely lost among all this , lets get it back.

I think Falkirk fans are now addicted to new signings , it's like Hartley let us try some crystal meth and now we need to have at least a dozen fixes every window. Most clubs do little or nothing in January. We sign a whole new team and want more (by the way I am well aware we need to). Seriously how much is all this costing every window? Does anyone think this is possibly gross mismanagement? I sincerely hope this fans shares buyout initiative gets over the line coz someone needs to be accountable for this ongoing mess.

No I'd rather we had the spine of a settled team over more than half a season at least with promising youth players coming through. That's how good clubs are run Edi.

And there you have it - the net effect of our BOD's brave new strategy & Paul Hartley's recklessness. We are now stuck in a vortex of loan signings, free agents , desperate short term deals on cast offs & constantly changing our near full squad every window. They are totally wasting OUR money over and over again.. Welcome to the future folks.

It's quite astonishing that Hartley could get it so wrong with almost every one of his summer signings. Some credit has to be given for defeating the law of averages and achieving almost absolute consistency (consistently awful , but still consistent none the less). #themitchey&hartleyshow #consistent

It breaks my heart to see our club , once lauded for bringing through our own young players, now scurrying about trying to fill the team full of loan players. This BOD has really killed our identity. It's sad beyond belief. I realize we are in a major pickle now and have to do this - but that's my point really.

Get with the program brother - wasting cash is what we do now. It's our new identity. Roll on the summer transfer window when we do it all over again with another new team.
