  1. Please don't say things like that. That might be worse. Is the second fella not a basketball player?
  2. So we go with Mitchell RB CH McGhee Brough CM Buaben CM Petra Rudden FW. And fill the other positions with and many of the reserve ayers as we can? Because at this point, the young lads can only be better than the "professional" dross that we have week in week out.
  3. We could put out out starting 11 today and it would likely get ridden raw. That pretty much sums it up.
  4. Never before has so much shit been assembled in one place at one time. It's really takes a special kid of talent to go out and sign so many bad players. I mean, even flailing wildly, you'd expect a couple of signings to be decent. But f**k, even the ones that should be are getting sucked down by the wankers around them.
  5. Well, if nothing else, at least it's gotten a bit easier to predict overnight.
  6. So basically we are now where we were supposed to be at pre-season, with a slimline squad of quality players supplemented with the reserves. Just need to find the quality, and we will be sorted.
  7. Well this is welcome news to come out of work and hear. Can we get a few more binned while we are at it? Surprised we've kepy Haber and canned Mackin to be honest.
  8. There's been many a talented teenager ruined by the pub over the years. Even worse today, given the relatively high wages even fairly average teams pay out to players these days.
  9. I don't think they are even playing for the reserves regularly. Still, have to trust the manager that he knows what he's doing. Hard after Hartley, but fair enough.
  10. It's shocking because most of our midfield are utter dog meat. If Petra or Lewis get injured, who replaces them if McKinnon won't consider Greenwood or Robson? Froxylias isn't a wide player and Owen-Evans isn't any kind of player. I get that managers have their own ideas, but this would be wilfully ignoring reasonable players when the alternatives are worse. It's decisions like that that partly got us into this mess.
  11. Shocking, if true, considering the dross we otherwise would have to pick from. Hartley style carry on. How Greenwood could be out of his plans when he could play in either of the Lewis or Petra positions.
  12. Well, they're good players, and they've been here long enough to be fit. Eagerly awaiting a plausible reason, as we are shite and those two are good enough to be playing. Have they fallen out with McKinnon the way the whole team did with Hartley?
  13. I didn't say they were, I acknowledged we'd had class ones. Recently though, it's been skewed more towards mince. The best two we've had have been loans. Schmeichel and Krul, and neither of them have been that recent.
  14. We are world class, when it comes to the dark art of signing bad goalkeepers. We've managed a few class ones as well, but most of them are more foul hits than home runs.
  15. You read it back. Then read it back again, or get someone else to do it for you. I mentioned that someone else had suggested that Robson liked a drink. I then asked what the odds would be if Greenwood doing the same. At what point did I accuse either of them of actually doing it? Asking what the odds of someone joining in with entirely theoretical, rumoured drinking sessions is a strange thing to get bent up over. Almost as if you are looking for things to howl at. Now, if you don't mind, I've better things to be doing than talking to you. There's only one thing in here that's weird, and it's not my posts.
  16. If McKinnon can't work some sort of magic, we are on course for setting all sorts of very unwanted club records. Including, quite possibly, an all new worst 11.
  17. As has been said above, it can't just be a fitness issue, unless there I some sort of underlying injury issue as well. Someone mentioned a while back a rumour about Robson being out the team because he liked a drink a bit too much. What's the chances that his buddy from the north east is joining in with the drinking sessions?
  18. It's fine, Mitchell is fit again, so Mutch can sit on the bench and Fasan can get himself to f**k into the sea.
  19. We should decimate them, in the very old Roman meaning of the word. If that doesn't motivate them, I don't know what will. The survivors can get freed in January.
  20. Is that not Anton Rodgers? I thought that as well, but can't see any reference to him having played for Charlton. Mind you, the herald to have a good record of getting stuff wrong, so you never know. I'd rather it was Rodgers, than potentially someone that could have done a shift.
  21. Any update on who the players are? Herald is saying we've been turned down on an extended trial by a former Charlton player?
