£4.20 saved plus 30p on the pishers. Ship had truly come in that day. Should have peered into a couple of random bins to see if any treasures had been prematurely surrendered

The Tennents Lager Appreciation Society
KingRocketman II replied to NorthernJambo's topic in The General Nonsense Forum
you base similarity on appearance rather than taste ?! A Poretti no 4 as smooth and consistent as a Tennents in my humble view.... -
but surely the pun in the headline merits a couple of points. Too many opportunities for puns are passed by in such cases - real goal gaping chances going a begging. More evidence of the decline in journalism.

Stuck this in the full-back thread. I thought I had seen all the old iconic (both disastrous and euphoric) Scotland clips but this is the first time I have ever seen this. Donachie v Wales: https://www.instagram.com/reel/Cz6rv0yMtEG/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link

Fully bought over now apparently by the Taylor family and introducing a ridge cut range. Hopefully their politics are a little bit more palatable than the tory loving Mackies.....

Challenge accepted. Where would one pick up such an item?

Barry Ferguson would have excelled in Serie A but didn't have the off field intelligence to contemplate such a move (or to have coped with it). Fortunately Lewis seems to have more than the combined IQ of his dad and his uncle

Aberdeen v The Rangers - 23/24 League Cup Final
KingRocketman II replied to Frank Grimes's topic in Domestic Cup Football
As an addition to that, the respective fans of each bigot brother believe that they are on the receiving end of regular poor decisions on and off the field due to a consorted conspiracy by officials/Doncaster/SFA. Despite the numerous soft penalties, extra time, and lenient decisions they both regularly receive, they each have ample evidence of an orchestrated campaign of bias. This effectively administered campaign has somehow allowed Celtic to win pretty much every domestic trophy going and has somehow allowed Rangers to rack up hundreds of late penalties, and avoid ever conceding one. -
Come to the conclusion that crinkly crisps of any flavour are far superior to any other non crinkled crisps...

Scots in the Championship 2023/24
KingRocketman II replied to Ewanandmoreagain's topic in Tartan Army Ramblings
Keeping in with my Stuart Armstrong love-in, he seems to be in quite a bit of form just now. Regular starter (perhaps the most consistent run he has had for quite a wee while), scoring goals at club level (another against Blackburn yesterday) and who can forget his tenacity and nutmeg on his way to scoring against Norway. If squad for the Euros were to be picked now he would be a definite and a likely starter v Germany I reckon. -
Torygraph front page though spun into a Morgan rant. Front page of Guardian.

the signature move of The Iron Sheik. The Sheik was also fond of using the term "jabroni", continuing to use it out of the ring and in a number of feuds on social media. This included an ongoing feud with Hogan. Top referencing from GNU....

same debate going on just now re the Avenues project on Byres Road, Glasgow. Amazing to consider that the reduction of a dozen or so parking spaces is apparently going to decimate locksmiths, barbers and cobblers up and down the street. Making the public realm more attractive with wider decent pavements, greenery and outdoor seating as well as making pedestrians the priority over cars is not by all accounts going to entice more people and potential customers to spend more time on the street/at the shops. But instead stopping a guy from Anniesland parking outside their shop for 5 mins in order to pick up a lock or hand in a pair of shoes on his way home are the key considerations and margins for many of these shopkeepers and apparent fickle "long-term" customers.

The Official ‘Hi-Risk Anus PM’ Clusterfuck Thread
KingRocketman II replied to Granny Danger's topic in The Politics Forum
Starmer et co will be exhausted after one year of walking the tightrope of presenting themselves as an alternative to the Tories, whilst trying to keep the floating Tory voters on board. But not as exhausted as Sarwar will be trying to strategically align London Labour's increasingly hostile views on immigration, welfare, and the EU as positions in tune with his own. Not to mention hoping that no one sees that any statement on Gaza merely echoes every US utterance and stance.... Poor guy. -

a couple earning over £200k per annum living in a house worth more than £350k??? where did they get the cash to buy it? Also could only have been an outright purchase as I can't think of any other means to finance a flat purchase........dodgy as feck in my view......
