  1. What a nonsense idea. There is lots of chat on here about more relegation from the Lowland League - last season there were no play-off as only one champion club was eligible to be promoted - I think that weakens the argument for more relegation places.
  2. Article 18.4 makes it clear that any new league can be authorised by the SFA Board and doesn't require a vote by members.
  3. I don’t know who the 9 clubs are but as the majority voted for status quo then the Civil Uni proposal for it not to come back to the clubs to vote will mean it will be another year at least so that means no change until the end of season 23/24 at the earliest.
  4. I would hope clubs do bring proposals forward whenever they can but if the league voted for the status quo and on the basis of the proposal from Uni and Strollers that kicks into the long grass for a while anyway.
  5. Why Labour the point though? Looking at these threads there is only about 15 people commenting anyway. Things need to change across the board. I’m glad I’m down south and not really affected by it anymore.
  6. I think you’ll find that is the case. Clubs don’t want this brought back to the table until there is a change at the top. Speaking to a club rep who was the meeting Edinburgh Uni and Civil Service Strollers reps put that proposal forward if the vote was for status quo……. So as a majority of club voted for status quo then that proposal was carried.
  7. I agree that we need change but they have voted to keep it as it is until there is change at the top. So why not focus on that change and that would then result in changes at the bottom of the LL which is clearly what you want.
  8. But the play-off off champion will get automatically promoted and take the place of Vale. Remember the current pyramid is nine years old. It has changed significantly in the past two years and needs to develop further. Until then we just need to get on with it until the leagues seek the changes that works.
  9. But it does. Because it’s a pyramid. So you only want change at the bit that affects the tier 6 leagues?
  10. Ok so three tier six feeder leagues are not all being hampered. You have said only the top clubs in the West have or will have a license. So it’s a bit unfair to say all these leagues are affected when the reality is most of these leagues don’t have licensed clubs.
  11. I agree, but that structure should also ensure the LL and HL champ goes up automatically too. That seems a fair result for everyone. Hopefully the leagues can make it happen.
  12. It’s not really the LL though is it. Their champion club doesn’t get up automatically but they have automatic relegation? What more do you want? Has the WOsFl actually completed a full season yet? How many teams below the LL actually have a chance of being promoted? I don’t agree with colts teams though.
  13. I heard that two clubs on the night put forward a proposal / caveat that once the vote was done it should not be revisited until the SPFL open up. anyone heard anything similar or know which clubs put this forward?
  14. Thanks for clarifying. So Vale could be saved again then.
  15. It’s not that difficult to work out. The tier 6 champion club goes up therefore team 16 goes down. So any talk of no relegation is nonsense.
  16. I was told that 12 clubs voted against the new proposal and 2 clubs voted for it.
  17. Heard some more about the board issues - not sure if it’s true or not - but just what I’ve been told! So the issue about the boundary is back again - old news. But for some reason the LL Board are pushing for it to be scrapped. As we now know the rules to allow the ugly sisters to play have still not been approved. Some board members feel this was being done with the intention of trying to strong arm the clubs into agreeing to deleting the boundary and said board members wanted all clubs to be fully aware of the circumstances before voting on Monday night. A vote took place and George Fraser (who voted against telling the clubs) lost the vote. It’s suggested that he (George) then went running to Maxwell to tell him it was all going to come out - something neither he or Maxwell wanted as they didn’t fancy the ugly sisters knocking their door down - and then someone on the board who had voted to tell the clubs then changed their vote. (Again I have no proof of this but it’s what’s I’ve been told). As a result Chris from The Braves and wee Tam at Strollers resigned. if any of this is true then it’s time for the LL Board to step down and never be involved in running a football league again. It seems self interest is more important than serving the clubs who would have voted them into these positions they are in today. As said already I have no proof of this but it’s what I have been told.
  18. I heard today that half the Lowland League board have resigned. Some chat that George Fraser got caught trying to do deals with the SFA behind their back which would f**k the LL clubs over ahead of some meeting this Monday night. Anyone else heard anything?
  19. You lot still going on about this???? Come on its old news. Move on.
  20. I didn't hear anyone on the podcast 'for' the proposal to balance it out.
  21. I'm sure these clubs wouldn't be in LL2 long before going to EOS. But that is fair enough, they will find their level.
  22. Where did I say there was a push for it? It was my opinion......
  23. Surely if clubs have been so outspoken about this and given whatever reason for it if and at the end of the day they just accept the money doesn't that seem hypocritical?
  24. I think it was spoken about a few years ago. I think it would be a good idea.
