  1. You wouldnt want to host Glastonbury on that pitch let alone SPFL games.
  2. I appreciate your response. But maybe issues akin to those referenced are better brought to the attention of club officials, who can the communicate directly with the club concerned, rather than have all sorts of unproven claims over internet forums. As club secretary I am always available to anyone wishing to pass any such correspondence. With the utmost respect Gaz, I'm concerned that we might be in danger of over egging the pudding here - as far as i'm concerned there were no issues to bring to anyones attention. What we have are two idioms, namely "Couldn't hold their drink" and "letting the side down" made within the context of a light hearted exchange on a football forum. Quite how we've gone from that to the suggestion that people are making "all sorts of unproven claims" or alleging "misconduct" on the part of East Stirlingshires supporters is quite the leap. The editorial in Saturdays programme referenced "banter going back and forth on the internet forums" and i'd suggest that this is at the milder end of just that. Whilst i'm delighted to offer an apology to our friends at East Stirlingshire in the event that this has caused any misunderstanding, i'd be far from content for this to rumble on fuelled by the suggestion anyones alleged any impropriety. I'd politely suggest that this could do more to heighten the molehill than any turn of phrase that might have been used elsewhere in the thread.
  3. Just to be absolutely clear, my comment about Shire fans letting the side down was specifically in relation to the previous comment about about a few of them being unable to hold their drink, which was intended to be a tongue in cheek aside about them being a bunch of lightweights. Im more than happy to offer an apology if this has caused or added to any misunderstanding.
  4. Shire supporters letting the side down in the clubhouse - poor effort lads.
  5. No danger of any camera shy visiting supporters being caught on film today. Hiding behind the Kelty goal, smart move. Enjoyed the game, was a decent contest and thought business picked up for Kelty once Dalziel came on. A good three points that.
  6. Fair point, id forgotten about The Mariners. To be honest if I was through that way and looking to take in a game, Carmuirs Park would likely be the best shout.
  7. No worries squire. I was concerned the East Stirling support might have been planning some kind of mass lawsuit/fundraiser due to being filmed without their permission. Its a no goer im afraid, but you could try having an accident that isn't your fault or get yourselves missold PPI. Thats where the real money is.
  8. I'd expect the answer to be "absolutely nothing" and "No" respectively. I don't imagine anyone going to this game will have a legitimate expectation of privacy.
  9. Good to see some off duty Bairns fans doing their bit to help out Grangemouths second biggest team. After the start they themselves had had though, I wonder how many of them tried to get refunds on their Falkirk season tickets in the process. If things don't improve for Shire and Falkirk, Stenhousemuir are currently sitting at a respectable 6th in League One if anyone fancies a bit of local glory hunting.
  10. Woods was very impressive when he came on. We didn't see much defensively from him such was the nature of the game but he looked very comfortable with the ball at his feet and was looking to make things happen rather than quietly blend in which is always a good sign when making a step up. I think the current starting eleven is just about right but it's good to see there are plenty of good, reliable options. I actually don't think Edinburgh as a team were as poor as the scoreline suggested. I've seen plenty of drubbings where the losing side has completely fallen apart and spent the game chasing the ball around. It wasn't a shambles and Edinburgh can take some positives from the game IMO.
  11. That was one of the best games I've seen in a long time. You wouldn't think from watching Kelty that they hand't been training together long, it was a great performance and the 4th goal in particular was a belter. It was great to hear the lads buzzing as they went into the dressing room at the end.
